on topic, some guy was spamming "salt" over and over again when his team won he had 10 points
Medic mains who refuse to heal you because you're not in there iron league partisipant clan.
Medic mains who refuse to heal you because you're not in there iron league partisipant clan.
Hehe this reminds me when I was actively playing with my clan buddies on our pub server I was refusing to heal them jsut to annoy them so instead I was pocketing some newbie with gibus painted pink, actually that guy was decent for a new guy. HE later even joined our clan. Well since it's thread dedicated to hate I shall hate MVM mann up players. Not all, just thees that think if I have completed one or two rounds on mann up the assume that I have no idea how to MVM and vote kick me. It's annoying as heck, I wish there would be some sort counter that shows how many missions you have done outside Mann up. Also spending money to get just slightly better match making queue is annoying.
Medic mains who refuse to heal you because you're not in there iron league partisipant clan.
I never thought I'd say this but for whatever reason I see a lot more Meds on pubs now, maybe cause contracts so Im running around getting healed by like 3 meds at once and my whole team is dying and im just sitting here reloading but not dying and Im just like why [editline]10th July 2015[/editline]
. Also spending money to get just slightly better match making queue is annoying.
but there is no matchmaking in mann up with 50 tours I still get matched up with 8 year olds who got a xmas ticket and want to go battle scout with the bfb
The lack of proper reload animations/new models for a dozen and a half weapons. I mean, it isn't as though it's difficult or something. Valve have proven time and time again that they are more than capable of spending an hour or so to make new animations here and there (Like the new "inspect" animations which don't even serve any practical purpose.) As well as new models. And yet, we have atrocities like 4 out of 6 revolver models not actually reloading bullets when they reload. A demoman grenade launcher that fires 4 shells out of of a 6-round cylinder and one that fires 3 out of a double barrel. And the less said about the Sticky-launcher's atrocious animations, the better. Then there's the more simple stuff, hold-overs from way back in 2007 that still never get updated for some goddamn reason. Like the Pistol not having a proper slide action, the Sniper Rifle bolt not actually ever moving and enough enough hand-clipping problems to drive the OCD part of my brain nuts! I get that it's a "silly" game. I get that the weapons don't need to make "sense" per'say. But a revolver that, for all intents and purposes, works in-game like its real life counter part (6 shots, a flip-out cylinder, etc...) Should damn well go the whole mile! I've made 3 revolver models, at least, and rigging the bullets to animate with the rest of the gun takes practically no extra time in the grand scheme of things! And that's not even mentioning the embarrassment that is Mr. "I don't even have a lazily textured-on gun barrel" Ambassador, which is largely where this trend started. There are other little pet-peeves in this department, too. Like the way the Sydney Sleeper's "dart" model continues to go unused for impacts on players and scenery. Or the fact that all the Scatterguns never actually reload any bullets but just eject spent casings. This game will be a decade old in a few years time. And yet, shit like this continually makes it feel like an unpolished, inelegant mess. Like it's still somehow stuck in beta or early access! Valve are not bad game designers, we know that much. But it seems like they flip a coin every time they make a TF2 animation as to whether or not they'll make something good quality, or half-ass it and shove it into the game as-is. The worst part? Countless people have made simple animation and model fixes. I'm pretty sure there's been a 4-barreled variant of the grenade launcher around since 2009 for crying out loud. Stuff that works with the game, at that, where all the animating and rigging and finicky code bits have already been worked out for them. But does Valve implement any of them? Of course not. Why? Presumably just to piss people like me off. And kill-icons, too. Neodement has had this amazing set of them up and running for 4 years now. But we still have shit like this going on: I don't know, but the sheer laziness of some of this just makes me want to tear my hair out. Valve seem so dedicated to fine-tuning the game sometimes, and will go out of their way to fix some cosmetic issues like shaders not working properly or buggy map models. But stuff like this, some of which has been tarnishing the game since launch, still gets to hang around like a smelly vagrant in the living room. [/rant]
Or the fact that all the Scatterguns never actually reload any bullets but just eject spent casings.
I always assumed it was because the Scattergun had a large enough drum to hold all 38 of the the shells, but those are only in the reserve drum while the six "loaded" ones are the only shells immediately useable everything else you said is completely true however.
I find the new australium kill icons hilariously bad. the concept is good except it completely clashes with the crit feed (the red actually means something important while the yellow doesn't), AND that it takes the role of what could have been mini-crit icons (yellow?).
*rant on valve being lazy*
I'll add onto this: a similar case with turning down Elbagast's Unique Rocket Models. People are practically giving you this shit away on your doorstep for free Valve, and you decide to pay no attention to it whatsoever, if not, completely throw out good effort in the trash? The fact that the Air Strike has it's own unique projectile model is just contradicting whatever mentality is stopping the TF2 team from giving every Rocket Launcher a unique projectile model.
Scorch Shot can knock teammates around, provided you don't shoot too close to them (since it'll pass through).
I miss sv_pure 0 on valve servers
I miss sv_pure 0 on valve servers
I miss when valve servers wouldnt constantly spout "not responding" or "error" and not letting me connect to them from quickplay or the server browser
I miss when valve servers wouldnt constantly spout "not responding" or "error" and not letting me connect to them from quickplay or the server browser
I fixed that with +clientport. If you share a connection with other people this will fix your connection problems, and if not is worth trying.
The fact that earbuds have suddenly shot up to 7 keys Now the people that got them for 3-2 keys will make some profit.
I miss sv_pure 0 on valve servers
Enabling sv_pure on Valve servers was the reason why I stopped playing TF2. After all my favourite community servers went down I spent most of my time playing on Valve ones. But when I found out that Valve decided to enable sv_pure on them I just lost the will to play.
[/rant]
Does the engi still jury rig his pistol to use backwards magazines? [editline]updatetf2plzvalve[/editline] And shotguns don't pump there slide?
I tried to say "good shot" with voice commands after a sniper headshots a spy behind me. But im a pyro and when i tried to say that all he could hear was mumbling :-(
I tried to say "good shot" with voice commands after a sniper headshots a spy behind me. But im a pyro and when i tried to say that all he could hear was mumbling :-(
You still give a thumbs up though.
You still give a thumbs up though.
And it says it in the chat, too.
Good shot doesn't show in chat.
players with a tiny bit of experience can easily associate pyro's lines with their intended command
Scorch Shot can knock teammates around, provided you don't shoot too close to them (since it'll pass through).
Wait srsly? That would be a hilarious griefing method!
Why does Valve insist on keeping their servers sv_pure 1? Not everyone uses wallhack mods.
Why does Valve insist on keeping their servers sv_pure 1? Not everyone uses wallhack mods.
Also the fact that the guy patched it so that they work on sv_pure 1 servers, makes the entire point null and void on keeping them set to it.
players with a tiny bit of experience can easily associate pyro's lines with their intended command
I wouldn't be able to tell when he says good shot, nobody uses it.
I wouldn't be able to tell when he says good shot, nobody uses it.
I can because I use it constantly
I wouldn't be able to tell when he says good shot, nobody uses it.
come on dude, it even actually sounds like "nice shot"
I mean yeah it does, when you do pay attention to it and know what to look for.

one thing that annoys me is the fact that demoman holds the stickybomb launcher with two hands in the loadout screen and third person view but its one handed in first person view
