My friend got two australiums in a row.
I still haven't gotten jack shit. :v
There's a maaaaaajor distinction between calling the old loch and load bullshit and being afraid of a strategic use of dropped weapons
Frankly i can't even see how you compare the two scenarios, it just sounds like you're grasping at the closest excuse to complain about me you could (presumably because my 2nd quote was directed towards you some time ago)
I think you're a cool dude and I'd like an opportunity to play with you more, but both things are literally a strategic change.

There isn't a major difference, however, between calling people who use certain weapons in TF2 pathetic and then lambasting a competitive group for trying to keep some semblance of balance in the middle of a season after a literal gamechanging update - both are incredibly asinine and have little thought behind them.
You're allowed to have opinions about subjects but insulting or otherwise putting down people because they don't share said opinion is extremely pathetic. At least put some thought into why UGC would ban picking up Mediguns instead of just going "eh lol theyre just shitty no-fun-allowed losers who dont like variety" like you just got banned from a TF2 server for going friendly heavy and doing nothing for your team.

I'm absolutely aware of why they would do it though, It creates a major metachange with the ability to continuously bomb with fallen rockets or create extreme advantage by stealing a dropped medigun. But the fact you compare that to using a crutch to fight a crutch literally has no even ground for me. It sounds like the argument here isn't "They're both similar scenarios of which i have different opinions", it sounds like "wow punchy you're so twofaced let me call out how twofaced you are".

One is a strategic change using controversial weapons where an upside outweighs a downside, one is potential manipulation of a battlefield where a medic who was previously punished by losing uber is now also punished by potentially giving the enemy team an additional uber- which in actual play does NOT mean the second a med drops the other team wins, considering the amount of theoretical scenarios where medic had a different weapon out, or the medi dropped too far back from 2nd to even make a difference.
It should be noted that the only reason they've completely banned weapon pickup for now is because they're in the middle of a season and probably don't have time to do a ton of playtesting for balancing

No, it's more pointing out how needlessly rude you are with asserting your opinions. You can dislike the Loch-n-Load, and you can dislike UGC banning picking up Medi guns, both are fine stances to have, but it's as simple as saying "Personally I don't like the Loch-n-Load and see it as pointlessly powerful requiring little skill input" and "I dislike banning picking up mediguns as it adds spice but I understand how it can negatively impact competitive", but all you did was be an ass about it, calling people who use a weapon in TF2 as pathetic, and just jumping on the "group x is no fun allowed losers" bandwagon just because UGC made a decision about their metagame and how its affected by updates.
Again, and this is for everyone, this is the "Stuff That Annoys You" thread, not the "Be a rude asshole about things you don't like" thread.

Brilliant posts, Rajikaru.
As much as I love the new Heavy buff, his melees still suck fat donkey dick.
As I said before, Heavy should be a tank, not a balloon. A nigh unstoppable dreadnought when faced alone, but easily toppled with some teamwork. Heavy should be a game-changer, not the guy that kind of distracts with some suppressing fire but then once he's out of bullets is completely useless.
Heavy stands almost no chance in any melee fight he gets into. He should hit like a truck full of trucks, not a pillow.
Don't get me wrong, when melee does work, it works fine, but it's purely situational. The KGB only really work well on the off-chance you get a random crit and can crit punch everyone around you. The fists alone are useless, as is the Eviction Notice. The Holiday Punch is, once again, purely situational as it relies primarily on stuns and taunt kills for an actual melee kill. GRU are good but mostly just for getting to the frontlines faster when the team's 4 1/2th sniper takes the only level one teleporter because the pub's engie doesn't know he can upgrade all of his buildings. FOS are a death sentence in melee but actually very good at shielding yourself from ranged damage. Warrior's Spirit is really only worth taking with the Buffalo Steak which deprives you of a worthwhile secondary like Shotgun or Sandvich.
Not saying you're going to be using melee that often but still, if you can get out-meleed by anyone with half a brain, there's probably something wrong with some of the melees.
Sasha is Heavy's best melee weapon.
Sasha is Heavy's best melee weapon.
TBH I'd love a melee weapon where the Heavy just brains people with the minigun.
Just make the reload key a quick-melee button that lets him keep the gun spun up.
worthwhile secondary like Shotgun or Sandvich.
worthwhile secondary Shotgun

This legitimately made me laugh
Every stock melee weapon should be replaced with the class using their primary as a melee.

The pathetic post was in retaliation to one which directly implied "i don't care if you hate my loadouts! look at me, world!!". The UGC post is otherwise a reflection of my opinion on said scenario.
I can see the pathetic post as rude asshole material, but as i've further reinforced it's been clear that post was only resurfaced by the UGC post which otherwise was directed at nobody but my own expressed opinion of weapon bans. If you think that's being an offensive ass then you're grasping for short straws, friend. It's also further diluted by your extensive history for lashing out at other people on facepunch making it rather credible to say it's a needless accusation.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: unboxing is literally the biggest waste of money I've ever seen in a microtransaction-based game. It's baffling to me that Valve consistently gets away with this. Charging $5.99 for a campaign pass and then $2.49 on campaign keys, only to reward the player's hopes and dreams with an 8 cent piece of junk--very clearly not beneficial to the player. But as long as there's a 1% chance of unboxing an unusual, people will continue to unbox. The more money the player spends, the more money they feel compelled to spend, because they're looking for a reason to get back all the money they've wasted. They want to believe that it was all "worth it." But only a handful ever do. It's straight-up gambling, and it's not even meant to be fun. It's meant to rake in as much profit as possible by creating a system wherein the player's ability to have fun is dependent on the amount of money they spend.
you really do not understand the concept of risk or gambling and the psychology behind it at all. This is rude af but honestly you're just parroting the most typical complaint regarding this so until you actually learn and do a bit of research into gambling and the thoughtprocess and mental things behind it, do >not< post about it please
get hit by sandman ball
distance: relatively far
result: completely fucked
distance: a little closer than medium range
result: still enough time for scout to run up to you and kill you while you can't do shit
distance: point blank
result: lol random crit for 45 damage, lol another random crit for 105 damage u r ded kiddo

Shotgun CAN be useful depending on how you use it.
Compared to Sandvich, shotgun isn't that good, but if you're caught alone and low on ammo, or have some KGB crits and no one nearby enough to punch to death, shotgun is a good choice.

How did this guy get so popular?
How did this guy get so popular?
Simple: people didn't know about the alternatives that were actually better sourced than this shit.
I'd blame the usual Youtuber stupidity on the side as well, but that's another thing.
People who say TF:GO
This.
Also, these idiots who say "RIP TF2 economy" whether keys are 19 ref or 15 ref
I do not get the meaning of the whole "TF:GO".
It's not funny, and we are not Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Yes, we have skins and StatClocks but it's still TF2.
It's not like CSGO invented the concept of skins, or the concept of getting items for doing stuff either.
Valve games have been borrowing shit from each other for years so there's trully no point in calling games TFGO or CF2
I've gotten 3 field tested reclaimed reanimators in a row
I know it might be super old but Pyros with Degreaser + Reserve Shooter, it just doesn't cut it for me.
