Today, having had enough of the usual squeakers and me being forced to play medic on the usual Valve server, I decided to use quickplay a bunch of times to find a suitable community server
Holy fuck, the situation has been really going down the drain fast since my last visit. I mean:
- The finder will introduce you to servers that have the features you actually unchecked in the option (I've searched for servers with default respawn times and I was mostly directed towards the nightteam servers, which are insta-respawn ones)
- I lost count on how many servers were custom clusterfucks (robots and ponies were involved, yes)
- For some reason, I kept disconnecting after two minutes or so into each community server
It'll be still official servers for me

My game crashes 50% of the time I try to join a server
Ugh, I'm getting random stutters again. I figured this was gone with that new update a few weeks ago but now it's back. I tried reverifying the game cache and enabling V-sync so far, but no dice. I'll try some more things before I give up all hope and wait for a new update, though.

Trying to do an engineer contract, building sentries and stuff, and having all kinds of NeoDements on the other team beating the shit out of them with saxxies as they build.
Hate when that happens.

At least on Australian servers they don't, or at least shouldn't have 300 ping. Here you get screaming Asian children and snipers shooting you around corners.
Can we officially rename demoknights to screaming retards? Cause even WITH a natascha, I can't stop these idiots before they hit me even if I start hitting them at the beginning of their charge and them going straight at me -.-.

If they use the Tide Turner you can fuck them over with the Natascha pretty hard. Even still if you got the Natascha revved up you should be able to at least tank the hits and kill the guy.
As a soldier player, demoknights are a welcome sight because it's [I]absurdly[/I] easy for me to fuck up their day.
With a shotgun, maybe. Rockets not all that effective.

I absolutely love watching Chargin Targe knights cry when I hit their feet as they charge me and go flying, then when they turn around and start running at me I just pelt them with shotgun shells, since Targe doesn't have bullet resistance

Not if they come screaming around corners most of the time and are using the Half-Zat, which crits 90% of the time. I hate the weapon, and I broke it out the other day, not even trying, to see how big of a killstreak I could get on powerhouse. It got to 38 before I took a crocket to the face from a DH soldier who was aiming at someone else when I came around the corner. It literally takes no skill to use. They seriously need to change it. It was the only thing that really pissed me off about the gun mettle update, that they didn't adjust it. Want to balance it? Give it the eyelander's range, remove the fucking random crits. Boom, balanced, how hard is that?

Mann vs. Machine is slowly accumulating bugs and I hate that: flying cosmetic items of dead players that follow the live ones, missions starting without any sound half of the time, missing control points in Mannhattan on the HUD, robots losing their names, unusable upgrades, broken loot screen (although this ones seems fixed) and even lazy Giants:

Ever since the Gun Mettle update, when the map changes it randomly has a chance of crashing with this message.

And I thought there's something wrong with my game. What a relief.
Just started playing again, I wanted to use my mic a few times but every time I press V my game crashes.
I've tried rebinding it to another key but it still crashes.
Any ideas?
Giving the pyro the Reserve Shooter was one of the worse balancing choices ever :(

I think most of us can agree that the reserve shooter needs to be buffed. I'd make more sense if it gave mini crits to people pushed into the air by force instead of just by jumping.

That still doesn't solve the problem of Pyro pressing M2 near an enemy and getting mini-crits while the enemy is completely helpless to stop him.
For the umpteen thousandth time, fix air blast to be an explosion not a stunlock, fix so much of pyro's stupidness.

Imagine the trickshots where you see a crocket coming your way but you airdet a sticky to send it off into a nearby wall instead.

I'm slowly chugging towards working network play with my TF2: Blackjack+hookers edition, will definitely test a bunch with airblast-like mechanics such as gravity bombs/projectile lasso.

Well, first logical step would be deleting it from Pyro's inventory entirely. Giving that shotgun to someone who can stun-lock you in you in air, deleting any of your previous momentum for easy shots was pants on head retarded. Pair it with the Degreaser and you have Flairgun Combo V2 but it also works on enemy Pyros. Even without abbility to minicrit anyone who just happened to be jumping does still not make it a balanced weapon in Pyro's hands.
The way I see it:
Reserve Shooter should minicrit on opponents sent airborne by airblast/rocket blast only.
Airblast should be reworked.
Remove the 4th shell.
Tighter spread or even firing a single slug.
Increase switch speed bonus to cca +45% range, overriding bonuses from other weapons when switching to it (i.e. degreaser).
Introduce a pyro primary with extra airblast force (and an ability to airblast jump?). Possibly with gimped flames, such as only a very short particle lifetime so you can't reach people once you airblast them unless you jump up to them.
Make Liberty Launcher do extra knockback on self jumps and on opponents, remove crutchy stats (extra rocket, projectile speed), replace damage penalty with damage penalty on airborne opponents. Extra knockback means you can't shoot feet and expect not to sent people to the moon. You can't kill them as they're on the way there there, so it's also a downside. Unless you use a RS, which is what it's all about.
As a result, there should be two extra air-based Direct Hit-esque counterplay cycles for Pyro and Soldier.
