considering the skin is applied shortly on your gun after you spawn (if you watch closely you can see the stock gun), I won't even dare to guess what horrific tech they've created seriously what the fuck is this? [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/decorated.jpg[/thumb]
They use overlays. It's literally overlaying patterns and AO ontop of the stock weapons. Then they have skin groups so they can apply different skins to different areas.
They must be updating something every few seconds that only needs updating on instantiation. Like the position of the pattern on the gun or the type of pattern, or both. Can't do much else but guess what piece of shit code Valve created there.
"Stuff that kind of bugs you and is only tangentially related to TF2": People who type Ms. Pauling's name as "Pauline". I don't know why people have such a hard time typing out words that appear (near-)exclusively in TEXT. Not just in TF2, either. More relevant: Melee weapons prioritizing teammates over enemies. As noted on the last page. Also they seem to have swapped the Disciplinary Action's hitboxes because it's possible to hit an enemy standing directly behind you with it, but good luck speed boosting an ally without standing inside them.
99/100 points on the Pyro contract "The server you are playing on has lost connection to the item server" Bullshit. Everyone else is running around with their damn Flare Guns and Third Degrees and shit. I couldn't even get the last point because of that. Why Valve
Everyone else is running around with their damn Flare Guns and Third Degrees and shit.
It's pretty common to get stuck with a loadout when the itemserver starts fucking up.
Guess I got unlucky then, was switching servers at the time. [editline]a[/editline] Still bullshit that it says "the server you are playing on has lost connection". How about something like "aw shit the item server's fucked weird stuff is gonna happen"
Also they seem to have swapped the Disciplinary Action's hitboxes because it's possible to hit an enemy standing directly behind you with it
I could swear I've been getting hit while standing behind people a lot more than usual lately.
give me one reason to use the gunslinger other than the +25 hp I'm not a fan of minis but I'm even less a fan of having entire items being pelted with botched nerfs year after year
When entire server is filled with Beggars Bazooka players in narrow points.

It's also still a lot quicker then the Jag and just requires actual positioning. On topic: Getting trickstabbed by a spy you knew was going to do the trick stab, but going in anyways because of muscle memory. Or not getting fooled by a trickstab and then getting stabbed anyways due to hitreg.

i have like no weapons in tf2 and i have no metal to buy weapons also is it just me or does the drop system only give me like a set of 12 items? i keep getting like razorbacks and manmelters which i already have like 4 of

Had a level 2 sentry up, everything's going good. Out of nowhere, a barrage of rockets hits it, maybe 4 or 5. I look up, and sure enough, there's an airstrike soldier. The sentry gets instantly killed. Fun and balanced.
It's just weird that people say: Turret vs. Sentry Spy Pistol vs. Spy Revolver Chain Gun vs. Minigun Deflect vs. Reflect The first set of words don't appear in descriptions either.
I think the only one I hear on a regular basis is turret. It's strange that people say it but it doesn't necessarily bother me unless they start acting like that's the proper terminology, which never happens.
It's just weird that people say: Turret vs. Sentry Spy Pistol vs. Spy Revolver Chain Gun vs. Minigun Deflect vs. Reflect The first set of words don't appear in descriptions either.
Turret and Deflect aren't necessarily wrong. Pistol and Chain Gun are, though. A pistol is defined as a gun that doesn't contain its ammunition in a revolving cylinder, which is typical for a Revolver since it's kinda in the name. Chain guns have a single barrel, while a Gatling gun has a rotating barrel. Chain Guns operate using an external power source to move the next cartridge into position for firing, while a Gatling-style weapon has the mechanism tied to the firing of the previous cartridge. The confusion is nearly as common as mistaking a magazine for a clip. I did a little digging to see if Chain Gun was merely a stayaway term from TFC or QWTF, but the Assault Cannon is clearly a gatling-style weapon with a rotating weapon. This holds true in the fan-made Fortress Forever mod as well. The only instance of TF history where the Heavy's weapon is referred to as a Chaingun is actually in Gang Garrison 2, where the sound file associated with firing is called ChaingunSnd, while the rest of scripts properly refer to it as Minigun. \:v:/
Does it really matter what people say? If you have half a brain you know what they mean with it anyway.
i gsues yuro'e rgiht
Wanted to do some MvM, too much of a cheap arse to buy a ticket. Did Bootcamp for probably the last time ever.
I still have two tour of duty tickets from holiday stockings, I'd give you one but they're untradeable.
It builds faster than it did before if you hit it while it's building and you can even repair it now, I don't see what the problem is
what's the point of a "combat sentry" if you have to prepare it out of sight like a regular sentry anyway. the repair buff is completely pointless since : a. they are supposed to be disposable and you shouldn't watch over them b. if you repair them, you lose the metal you needed for a dispenser or a second sentry c. most weapons won't allow you to even repair it in the first place minis are garbage now. But my guess is everyone is happy with that.
unless you use the rescue ranger wich instantly gets them to 100%- but then again minis were meant to be disposable. why on earth you'd defend/hold with minis
but then again minis were meant to be disposable. why on earth you'd defend/hold with minis
And yet, half the Engineers I see do this. I've just given up telling people it's stupid.
what's the point of a "combat sentry" if you have to prepare it out of sight like a regular sentry anyway.
Because that's the entire schtick of Engineer: either be prepared for enemies or get punted into next week. We've seen just how annoying it is for someone to be able to shit out sentries in front of their enemies with it actually succeeding, surely you don't want more of that nonsense. The biggest three things the Gunslinger has going for it now are as follows: The thing still has a tiny hitbox. The thing is ready to start attacking enemies much faster, and is thus more suitable to be used nearer enemies than building a typical sentry. The owner gets 25 more health. You can set and forget a Combat sentry, but you can't really set and forget a level 1 sentry unless it is in a very hidden or out-of-the-way location. Personally, I still would've preferred the old PDQ, but I am preaching to the choir.
I always defend with a mini sentry, a shotgun and a pistol. It's pretty damn good if you have half decent aim and put your sentry in a good, out of immediate sight spot. Having a level 3 dispenser nearby still makes it really easy to just keep throwing mini sentries out there. Going wrench engineer just pisses me off to no end, you spend time building/positioning your sentry and then either nothing happens, or the whole enemy team smells a level 3 sentry has just finished building/positioning and they all just come shove that sentry right up your ass. Things always seem to go better for me with a mini sentry, wrench engineer just has no middleground for me.
They sped up construction speed and the Jag now actually effects construction speed; try spamming lvl 1s with that. Don't even bother upgrading them, just plop down a lvl 1 and a dispenser and you're good. Honestly, I only like the Gunslinger for the extra health. If I'm not playing super offensively to the point where I should probably just play an actual offense class, I use wrenches.

Damn I just want to get a Strange Lightningrod but it bugs me at the fact that if I do then I lose the 1k kills on my current shotgun.
what makes me angry is that the scout still has his headphones on with the wilson weave what makes me angrier is that the headphones aren't even placed on top of the hairpiece, it's lodged into the top triangle of hair
Why isn't Wilson Weave all-class anyway?
