What is it with valve servers and goddamn PIPELINE? Every 5 minutes a new vote for pipeline comes up, and every single time it's shot down. It wouldn't be so bad if it was the same person doing it each time, but it's different people every time.
Click on an Upward server "You're headed to: Hoodoo" Frantically hit escape while the server info retrieving lags my comp.
Anytime that happens, I rather my game crashes so I can hop into a real map faster.

Pipeline and the PLR gamemode isn't very liked by the majority of the playerbase, and Pipeline especially can be confusing to people unfamiliar with it. But primarily, I'm guessing people flock to PLR servers specifically to play Hightower cause it's a very popular TDM map (nevermind that there's plenty of 24/7 community servers for it) and many of them specifically wanna turn these servers into Hightower 24/7 ones via votes. Doesn't help that both Pipeline and Nightfall are half-forgotten and unfamiliar maps to much of the playerbase. It's kinda like the situation with 2Fort and Turbine. A lot of people don't particularly care for the CTF objective on those two maps, yet they play them fanatically for days. I'm sure there's genuine CTF fans, but I'd wager that Hightower, 2Fort and Turbine are far more popular as TDM maps than they are as PLR/CTF maps. Plenty of people don't give a crap about their respective gamemodes, so the other maps on CTF/PLR Valve servers don't stand a chance when it comes to votes. Same thing with how people will continuously keep pushing votes for freakin Dustbowl on A/D servers even though there's other, better and less stale A/D maps in the roster, not to mention that there's over 9000 24/7 Dustbowl servers out there of all types.
I hate trading, it's such a tiring process I just want to get a damn sniper hat is that really too much. I dont wanna go to 20+ servers or spent an hour on tf2outpost to finally find a deal i can afford

Zombie Fortress servers seem to have completely vanished. I hated perks and loved vanilla but it seems even perk servers are dead now.

[sp]not that there's anything wrong with TF2x10 and its ridiculous amount of success[/sp]
If they made ZF an official game mode it would come back. I know it would.
I recommend using classifieds on Backpack.tf (usually really fast) or Scrap.tf (instantaneous, can be slightly more pricey than using backpack.tf)
Seriously fuck TF2OP, it's just full of useless bots and people that think their stuff is worth 40% more than everyone elses. Just use bp.tf. Only. And use the "buy order" half of the site too. People will add you.
people who demand to be kicked from the MvM game because they think the team won't make it and they don't want to suffer the consequences of abandoning a game. feels good to blaze through the mission after you finally get the dipshit to leave by himself.
It legit triggers me when they do this. My solution is to carry them all the way to the last wave then kick the fuck out of them. Wasted their time, we still get the looty booty.
It legit triggers me when they do this.
what does this mean
what does this mean
Makes me mad
people that think their stuff is worth 40% more than everyone elses
So bp.tf?
I can't bring myself to play random pubs anymore after the server community ive been with has been destroyed by hackers. There is no sense of friendship or relation between people in random pubs like there is with a community server. I'll either have to get into comp or find a new community now
what does this mean
Clearly
So bp.tf?
The difference is: while a proper trade shows up for any given item about once every 5-20 days, a proper trade will show up on bp.tf more or less once a day or two. Check back every day for 3 days and you'll get what you want. And if you need to "give up", you can almost always buy the item at it's given price. Some items are even perpetually cheaper than it. Real trade sites are dead.
So bp.tf?
This is kind of an aside to trading but just a complaint I have about the people of backpack.tf. It's a nice site but why do people who suggest prices always have to put some sort of unrelated info as the first sentence of their suggestion? It's such a small thing and I have no idea why it bugs me so much but it does.
What's a damage class? - BLU Team What's an engineer? - RED team What's a pocket? - All valve servers

I wanted some Baphomet Trotters for a Scout loadout, I just searched tf2op until I found a slightly decent price (ended up paying 4 ref) for the item that has like one overpriced listing on bp.tf.

I love these maps because they're spacious, symetrical, multi-staged, have plenty of side routes, promote dynamic play, are rich with health and ammo packs and I really enjoy their environments and atmospheres. Players get setup times in first two stages to familiarize themselves with their main objective and their teammates. Final stages have an grand finale sort of feeling because they're big and open with a lot of vertical space and carts' paths get so close to each other at the end. I rarely play Hightower as I'm not a fan of careless deathmatching but when I do end up on it I wouldn't start votes to change to other maps because I wouldn't want to be an asshat. With all that said, it annoys me that there are only three Payload Race maps in the game. I wish that Valve would introduce another multi-staged map that captures the spirit of Nightfall and Pipeline.
I think Nightfall is wasted on PLR. The gamemode attracts the biggest idiots the game has to offer on valve servers and community servers only run Hightower and even that's usually only to DM on it.
tf2 needs more rain, snow particle, and night maps. I think snowplow was a serious misuse of potential.
I would just like more snow maps because we have a shit ton of winter cosmetics and like 4 winter maps
It surprises me how when I reflect on maps and their time of day, they're mostly at sunrise/sunset. Makes sense considering the prevalent badlands theme. Probably quite hot there around noon. Interesting though how I failed to pay attention to it for 4 years.

The main problem with pipeline and nightfall is the fact that stage one and 2 mean fuckall. It legit takes 5 seconds to reverse the entire point of the first 30 minutes of gameplay because the first and second stages mean nothing. I'd like to see a somehow balanced giant 1 stage version of pipeline where the early game actually matters.
when that soldier can't just kill you without crits, be it random or forced bonus points if he does / does not acknowledge it

And I've played a lot of vidya.
Thanks.
I don't think it was directed at you. PLR Valve servers are full of morons because dm_hightower is in the rotation; doesn't mean EVERYONE on them is a moron.
