Or if a friendly heals an enemy that then proceeds to kill you. Fuck friendlies.
Honestly the only time you should really be doing it is if it's a server for that, or if there's like 4 people total on the server and you're waiting to see if people start filling it again.
Though I have to say, disguising as a heavy, switching to his melee and crouching often is enough acting for people to pass by you :v:
I only kill friendlies when I'm running a weapon that's run on kills like the eyelander or phlog. Free speed, health, and/or crits
I kill friendlies left and right because, last time I checked, this is a multiplayer first person shooter and not Second Life
If there are only about 4 people on the server then sure, time for heavy boxing. Otherwise they can just fuck off back to friendly servers. Seriously, what's the appeal of joining a game to specifically try and not play it for as long as possible?
4 engineers on hightower adamant to never stop creating lvl 3 sentries.
While stacking is annoying, when you have this medic spam team switching because "i want to be on the winner's side and get my contract points" really really bothers me.
He switched for about 5 or 6 times, not realising that the teams were quite even since it was a back and forth of pushes. It's worse that he is a medic, he would make the difference quite clear, in the end he barely scored and helped :v:
Pro players that pub stomp.
I hate the Iron Bombers firing sound. It sounds like it's cut off or broken
Pro players that pub stomp.
Whenever I play on a pub i pick the classes I dont often play as to avoid rolling. Even warming up for scrims and practicing aim makes me feel pretty bad as my main, as theres usually quite a skill level gap and players don't know to do deal with that
Pro players that pub stomp.
Bonus points if they run around showing off their stranges with >50.000 kills on them. When I get killed by one, I know I'm not going to have fun on this server...

How is that showing off? They're just using it.

There isn't much of an alternative these days.
Comp match making can't come soon enough.
As long as we have Valve servers with no skill tiers/levels as the default way of pubbing, and community servers are abandoned more and more due to Quickplay doing its thing regading player tastes and habits, you're gonna have different profiles of players (skill and mentality-wise) randomly ending up on the same generic server. Types of players that really don't gel/belong on the same server.
High-level comp players just looking to unwind, coordinated pairs or small groups of friends on mumble playing Medic-patient combos, 'friendlies' intentionally being useless, kids with a lack of motoric skills, capacity to learn and no knowledge of English, folks with very few hours in the game, AFKers, griefers/trolls/bindspammers...
Valve servers should've been split into perhaps few skill/experience ranks a long time ago, and perhaps a ranked and non-ranked version as well so you have separated servers for goofing off and for taking the gameplay at least somewhat seriously and trying your best.
Not that going full-force on a clearly inferior team is exactly the best example of sportsmanship, but I feel a lot of folks in recent times have the logic backwards - you say Valve servers are fine and that community servers were all trash and can die off for all you care, well... you're gonna have to accept that more and more random skilled players and/or coordinated pairs of friends playing the right classes and using Medics are gonna be randomly invadng Valve servers for lack of a better option. And you'll often end up on a team with such a high number of newbies and kids that they'll simply be collectively unable to stand up to such players, leading to horribly one-sided games.
And the demographics are clearly in favor of less experienced/skilled players - apart from evenings on certain maps/gamemodes, you're gonna have these guys greatly outnumber the veterans in each valve server, meaning any imbalance in the number of decent players is gonna lead to frustrating experiences for the few guys stuck on the team of 6 shitty Snipers and Spies, 2 AFKs and a useless friendly. Is it entirely the fault of those evil, nasty 'pubstompers', a term that is also flung around ridiculously loosely?
If we had an 'advanced' tier of Valve servers, let's say, that had only people of a certain (pub) rank and perhaps gameplay time on them, things would be a lot better imo. There'd still be people that stand out skill-wise, but with a team of 10 guys that have many hours and years of experience in the game, you'd still be able to stop that really skilled one guy on the other team much more reliably.
I wish so much that I could stop playing on Valve servers
But there are no other options, I just want a lag free, plugin free, vanilla server that I can do contracts on
A bit late, but they did it so engineers don't camp in spawn with their sentry (for mvm sentry buster reasons)
it's actually to prevent level 3 mini exploits

They're sorta organically separated by the maps that are played, i.e. when you hop onto badwater or process, there is a good chance of running into competitive players, similarly 2fort servers are a dump of friendlies as they simply can't be played seriously so competent players barely bother.
I think it's fully within Valve's grasp to put up servers with pellet spread and random crits disabled running maps popular in competitive specifically for those players to inhabit. They could do that literally right now without updating the game with any sort of ranked system, and everyone would love them forever.
Spy's whole design is so fucking shit, especially the way he counters engie. Thanks to spy's backstab and sappers, it discourages engineers from moving their buildings up to help benefit the team more because as soon as they leave something alone it'll get sapped, and as soon as they start hauling every fucking spy on earth is now going to backstab them.
It's funny that you guys mention friendlies because just last night there was a friendly Heavy playing catch with his Sandvich on the point in Kong King. I ignored him before when I saw him but he was stopping me from capping so I did the only thing I could do.
I fucking sliced his head off with the Claid.

It works psyhically. When I see someone with a lot of kills on his strange I know he played this game for ages and that I'm going to have a really hard time playing against him. And since it's pub I know can't simply rely on my teammates to cooperate with each other to take him down.

Well, there are servers with a higher skill peak than pubs that aren't comp so why not go there?
I hope what I'm saying makes some sense.
VSH servers that have donator perk of Kicking you off of limited classes as those are reserved for donators
Nothing like being a high damage scout and suddenly you cant be a scout cause a person who actually does bad with scout wants to play scout...
I grown use to it though...I can always be a medic
haven't seen something as outrageous as the 20% dmg resis when cloaked in a long time
when you predict some idiot spy with a short range DH and they survive it. no words.

TF2 2015, where we get angry at design flaws failing to kick in due to design flaws.
Well, it doesn't really make Spies that much harder to kill, and considering the DR took a pretty severe beating survivability-wise, it's really fine imo. Coming from someone that plays both a good amount of non-DR Spy and Pyro, as well as other classes. Direct Hit OHKs like that are probably the only thing hugely affected by the resist buff to the stock cloak.
The alternative compensations to the Spy could have been something like making stock Revolvers more powerful (more Gunspy) or vastly improving the Disguises system and patching the myriad ways of telling DR feigns that exist.
That would either be hated more or require a great deal of work on Valve's behalf imo.
Despite the buff to disguising speed, I say that now that DR's tanking has been nerfed considerably, it would be really great if they could make feigns way more convincing (there's really a ton of ways to tell it, now even with StatTrak real-time displays on your weapon...) and fix the issues with missing cosmetics/bodyparts giving away disguised Spies in a milisecond from across the map.
The only class whose gameplay literally gets screwed by the missing bodygroups/parts visual glitches and by the incredibly numerous and obvious oversights (I hope they're oversights, at least) to the feign death mechanic's implementation.
But since they haven't really touched that in 6 years, I doubt it's ever happening.
If i'm correct you're forced to hit 3 times with a stock melee against a cloaked spy, right? Bleh.

it does make a large difference.
it means all weapons with a damage bonus can't do the job they would normally in one or two hits (this includes stuff like the skullcutter) unless they crit. It means a heavy that starts reving-up and tracks the spy does less than smg dps (thanks to the wonderful minigun nerf ontop of that). It means surviving two medium range scattergun or rockets. A quick scope headshot, three melee hits aswell.
It's borderline more annoying than the old deadringer because they should have died.
If you can still track them after these many hits, then they're walking in a line or being terrible. You will lose track of them before you can finish the job.
And then you can just pair something stupid like l'etranger and spycicle to make the whole thing even dumber.

Same with servers that have class number limits.
Want to be soldier since you main soldier? Sorry, we already have 3 soldiers idle in spawn
Yes, this is a good idea in pubs and serious servers, but I just hate it when trade/ achievement servers have it (IE non serious servers).

The thing is, there are no such servers in Europe aside from 32 player clusterfucks.
I used to frequent a Finnish server called Pelipurkki, but it's pretty much dead now. Nowadays I play Highlanders on TF2 Center which are actually really fun, intense and most of all, balanced (well, at least most of the time)

German Headquarters is alright and pretty active. Then there's Schlachtfestchen, Triggerhappygamers, Reddit EU and well... that's about it. Most of those are really only active on evenings for a few hours.
Hampshire Heavies is almost dead, sadly, used to be the premium TF2 pub in Europe. Pelipurkki seemed good for a while then died off. Kritzkast/Gamersunited servers also seem to have disappeared recently. Rocket'Roll was good for about a year but it died a while ago as well.
Skial ones are pretty meh apart from Badwater and Upward ones (stock settings), everything else is instaspawn or 32 players imbalanced chaos on tired, spammy maps like 2Fort/Turbine/Dustbowl/Hightower.
Pretty depressing, and even a couple of years ago (2012-2013) many of the above were pretty much full for many hours on evenings.
