Had a nice, serious game where everyone was competent, no douchebags, and teams were balanced.
Then two medics with obnoxious hats, renames, and binds start uber chaining. Everyone pretty much left after that.
Jailbreak is the worst gametype to ever exist, literally every single round is just getting bossed around by some nerd until they get bored and shoot everybody
No fun allowed: the gamemode
The trick to having fun in jailbreak is getting everybody to go spy and backstab the wardens.
When I'm selling something on the market then fifty people sell the same item on the market for one cent cheaper
Why do people play Jailbreak and Prop Hunt in TF2? CSS and GMod respectively have straight up superior versions of those gamemodes.

TF2 is free.

That achievement icon (the real one) is strange, considering that it's for the Medic and you get it by killing Scouts.

It's surprisingly effective, just overshadowed by Ubering Soldiers, Demos and (formerly) Heavies.
I think it also counts if you use Kritzkrieg, which works really well on Scout and Sniper.

I swear that achievement exists purely to piss off medics and your team. Only time I can think it would be ok is when you are pushing the final point have have cleared everyone in sight.
So what was the reasoning behing giving the gordbort stuff strangifiers yet the AWP gets a strange weapon straight up? I want to make my trusty G. AWP strange BUT NOOOOOOOOPE
Oh. Well, what's that one where you kill Scouts with the Syringe Gun?

The Medic achievements came out during the Gold Rush update which introduced the Kritzkrieg.
Most of the power classes have a complimentary achievement of killing enemies while Ubercharged.
It's heavily implied to use the Kritzkrieg.

Would Quick-Fix ubers count? I remember back when the Shortstop got changed, everyone was going Quick-Fix and pocketing Scouts for undying ultra-Scouts; it was pretty damned effective.

People with all kinds of unusuals and max heads. Everyone had to start somewhere and many worked incredibly hard to get those valuables, but I have never seen an unusual-wearer that just didn't shit on everybody while spamming keybinds and "U MAD LOL!" If they're not doing that, they're sitting around on their asses as an engineer in spawn rancho-relaxing and showing off their unusual effects.
You know what annoys me? How the tf2 community sometimes and only sometimes, look at heavy as an idiot. Like how he cant do anything without a medic beside him and doesnt understand simple stuff. I saw EOTL and got mildly annoyed of the scene where it took a long time to make a move on chess from the heavy and moved the wrong thing to the wrong space. Heavy will always have a PhD in Russian language in my heart, canon or not. And leave the idiot stuff to the soldier.
I wish the characters hadn't devolved into morons. They were better when they were just psychotic and self-centered.

Heavy is easily one of the smarter members of the team, probably up there with Engineer and Spy. I like how the comics portray him more as a quiet intellectual with little patience rather then an idiot on a doctor's leash.
the ammount of obstacles to play with a friend is completely delirious
first you need a player slot on the server. that alone can take up to a solid 15 minute.
then preferably you want to play with your friend so you want to join his team, but look at that it's full. another 20 minute
and then you have to pray you don't get autobalanced after 5-10 minute, which then repeats the entire process
On the other hand, playing against someone and his friend(s), one of whom is probably his pocket Medic, is equally if not more frustrating.
I find all the classes to be pretty damn smart, with the soldier being maybe the only exception

Scout's a book dumb character and Pyro is probably mentally insane
For everyone else they have some sort of condition or character trait that's preventing them from being normal, like Sniper being bipolar, Demo being alcoholic, and Medic being batshit crazy.

Just because your bi-polar, alcoholic or crazy doesn't mean you cant be smart. Sniper is a sniper, probably one of the more brain-required merc jobs because of altitude, bullet drop, and all that, Medic can perform somewhat successful surgeries, and demo is an explosives expert.
Scout is street smart enough that he knows how to handle a fight, Pyro could possibly even be an evil genius and pyroland is a representation of how it feels doing its job, as opposed to it actually being crazy. Heavy has a poor English barrier so he doesn't talk much, Engineer is a technical prodigy, and Spy is generally smart due to his occupation as well.

Engineer seems pretty normal along with spy, and heavy just doesn't talk alot
I find all the classes to be pretty damn smart, with the soldier being maybe the only exception
I kinda agree. Soldier and Scout are both 100% stupid. The rest though...
Pyro and Medic are completely bonkers; however, the Medic at least is a genius.
Sniper has major temper issues and apparently is pretty paranoid, but he's of at least average intelligence, and not too bad beyond the whole throws-piss-at-people,has-no-hygiene-whatsoever thing.
Demoman is actually a nice guy when he's sober, and has to be at least averagely intelligent. When he's drunk (as he is almost all the time), he's an unstable wreck, but a supremely competent one.
Spy is pretty intelligent, but doesn't seem terribly interested in other people's business so we don't see much of that. Mentally stable once you get past him being a sadistic assassin, too.
Heavy and Engie are both very smart, probably the smartest mercs, and also very quiet. Engie might be a little nuts, but Heavy is just excitable sometimes.
Really, the only probably most of them have is being totally oblivious.
Engineer seems pretty normal along with spy, and heavy just doesn't talk alot
well heavy is also in love with his gun, that's pretty weird. But if we're going by pure intelligence, the order is probably Engy - Medic - Spy - Heavy - Demo - Pyro - Sniper/Scout/Soldier
Doesn't help that lately Valve has written Heavy delivering his lines in third person (Heavy is flying! Dying just make Heavy mad! You cannot hide from pink pony Heavy! etc) so he sounds really quite dumb. He used to refer to himself as "I" like normal, why can't that still be a thing
[editline]15th February 2015[/editline]
I'm pretty sure the Russian language doesn't have people referring to themselves in the third person so it doesn't make sense anyway, it's like the Medic saying "Medic is fully charged!"
