I shot my iron bomber at a pyro and straight up nothing came out
it made the shooting sound, played the shooting animation, ate one of my ammo, but nothing came out of my gun.

This happens occasionally with rocket launchers, and it's really fucking annoying when I'm trying to make a jump.
Frankly I could see this being broken as fuck. A constant never ending stream of pipes from anyone competent enough to land them reliably would just be insane.
No Demoman is perfect. Hell, it's impossible to be perfect because of the nature of projectile weapons.
When that Demoman does miss, he's going to be slapped with a very lengthy reload. He also loses zoning capabilities with rollers as well as splash range for crowd damage. There are no aides to make directs easier or even more powerful, just himself against his opponents' dodging abilities. Frankly I was considering adding the old self-blast vulnerability the old loch had, but that's for another day. The current discussion is on the core redesign I'm working with.
Against stationary targets sure it'll be very powerful, but otherwise he's taking a large risk in using this: it's all or nothing. All or nothing is pretty much what Demoman is. He dominates the midfield but gets obliterated if anyone gets past his wall of pain or pokes him from outside his reach.
Man, I saw a Strange PDA in the game I was just in, counting health dispensed and teammates teleported. I thought hey that sounds cool, I'll go check how much it is.
Like $20.
Why Valve gotta make the cool stuff rare?

The fact that i can't even sell my Normal key which was back then a Naughty one, to scrap.tf because apparently the item server THINKS that it's still not turned into a normal, so the bot won't accept it. Like come on! I wanna buy the Skullcracker, Deep Fried Desire and the Square Dance! (which is pretty much equal to 1 key).

Why would you sell it to scrap.tf, though? They literally give the bottom feeder price.
Take stuff like trade.tf instead http://www.trade.tf/mybots/buyers/Mann%20Co.%20Supply%20Crate%20Key
Somebody once complained that using the Degreaser+Flaregun combo took skill, and that the Loch n Load was a crutch.
How quick people are to cry "W+M1 nub" even in situations where using the flamethrower is entirely justified. Attacking a group of enemies? Apparently I'm supposed to shotgun them all to death individually.

You're not getting it, you're supposed to send them a letter asking politely if they can die first. It's etiquette, you know? Can't just go around playing the game, that's rude.
As some of you may know, on my servers. when people type noob it replaces it with I'm such a noob.
What do you think i should change it to when people put rekt?

although there are some situations where a rekt is applicable
reflecting a huntman arrow, getting a machina penetrate kill

"get kittens m8"
a job
"get a job, m8"
"u jst got a job"
"#AJOB"
why is it that scout appeals so much to newbies who just got the game a day ago.
at least look up on how to play him instead of just running straight or standing still.

Applied. now to wait and see

Because he's fast. I know this because he was also the class I played the most in the beginning (and of course perfomed poorly.)

I love it when DR/spycicle spies cry when I just W+M1 them out of their ringer
If holding down M1 kills the enemy the fastest, there is NO REASON why you shouldn't do it. Now obviously there are some situations where that will get you killed unless you're smart (against a revved up heavy), but strafing will usually take care of that problem, so in reality you're not doing W+M1, you're doing A+D+M1.
Honestly people shouldn't complain about stock weapon functionality

Exactly this. This is why I only played Heavy after playing 100 hours of Tf2, where I played as Scout and Medic. I lasted for about 5 minutes before going "oh my god he's so fucking slow" and then switched back to Scout / Medic. Don't take this as an insult Heavy players but I don't understand the appeal. Scout is usually a high-risk class because you have 125 health yet you can deal a lot of damage. Medic is that class that, while yes it can be fucked up, is generally easy to get into yet you still contribute to the team.
Bad Heavy? Snipers assemble. I just find him really boring and dull. Enlighten me people.

Is there really anything outside Heavy now other than "friendly hoovy" and "rage heavy"? What's the 'proper' way to play him?

The way I play it, and no other way, dammit.

KGB + Shotgun Heavy all the way
Slightly more on topic, the reason I love Heavy is that 1: Tanky classes are the best thing 2: If you know what you're doing [sp]or the enemy team doesn't know what they're doing[/sp], you can do a lot with him. Shotgun Heavy is pretty useful when you need to be on the move (also known as Offense On Every Gamemode Except Payload), FOS Heavy can be helpful for distracting an enemy for a long time and surviving, KGB + Shotgun has the potential for damage that you can't really get with the minigun, and fun kill-chaining, etc., etc.

Sometimes I like rocking the typical Minigun/Sandvich/GRU so I can just make things die without having to worry about the subtleties. If a cart desperately needs pushing or a point desperately needs capping, I'll pull out a Dalokohs Bar and then the Fists of Steel for a disgusting ~600 HP against ranged attacks. Finally, if I find myself in a pub where both teams are filled with Gibus Snipers and the like, I'll go Buffalo Steak Sandvich/GRU for a fun challenge.
I was playing on No Heroes goldrush/badwater server, which is usually full of good players that actually use teamwork. Some heavy on the BLU team was named Fat Scout and was only using the shotgun renamed to Scattergun. He was actually doing really good and was in the top 3 when they won. Didn't annoy me personally, but boy was my team mad about it. :v:

I don't think its the shotgun that annoys people so much as the fact heavy normally can't make good use of it since the minigun normally overshadows it hugely. If a heavy can master shotgun play then in my opinion he's just as valueble as any team member. I might be biased since my heavy uses shotgun too but hey
what if they gave the heavy innately faster switch time to make his shotgun more viable and offset his needless nerfs?
I don't think weapon switch speed holds the shotgun back. The true utility of the shotgun lies in holding it out ready to deal damage the instant you click while you're on the move. If you have the minigun out already, it's almost always better to just rev up than switch to the shotgun if you suddenly encounter an enemy.
I'd like to see a small movement speed buff while the secondary/melee is his active weapon. Equipping the shotgun or risking melee is the only way you're going to defend yourself while making use of the extra speed. It also buffs heavy as a whole, offsetting his nerfs by giving him a little more mobility as well as buffing weapons such as steak sandvich and nearly all melee weapons. GRU should be tweaked so that the innate boost combined with the GRU boost is the same as the current boost GRU gives.
what if they gave the heavy innately faster switch time to make his shotgun more viable and offset his needless nerfs?
It'd be easier to rework that as a buff to all miniguns: being able to switch weapons before spindown is over. It'd definitely boost the Brass Beast and Natascha into less-useless levels, and it wouldn't really interfere with KGB and Fists of Steel, both of which are balanced out by the sluggish switch speed. Being able to switch to his most powerful weapon faster wouldn't bolster the skill ceiling, it'd just be a flat-buff to all Heavy players. Being able to disengage would reward smart Heavy players that know when to break off commitment.
However, you need to take into account that in doing this, it'd also buff the Sandvich equally. Quickly healing teammates has become a staple of Heavy play because it's far more valuable to keep a Medic alive than it is to shoot a gun that's inherently weaker than your minigun. There's not much that can be done unless you want to slap the Sandvich with a slower switch speed.
Does anyone else hate the Beggar's Bazooka or just me? Seems like there should never be an automatic rocket launcher, no-matter what the downsides are. It just lets Soldier's one-shot most classes by popping up at close range. Even a Heavy can be one-shot if he gets a lucky roll, and if not, he can still load one more and fire before the Heavy can DPS him down.
Watching an uber-chaining pair decimate your entire team is only funny the first 3 or so times they do it. After that it's just annoying that not a single person on this team can deal damage.
