How I feel like my love for this game is slipping from my fingers as I have to struggle to find a reason to even boot it up. Sigh. It's been 8 years, I think it might be time for me to move on.

I only get on to play saxton hale and even then I'm there to just talk with the other players there. if not I play TF2 at least for just an hour a day

My computers completely shitting itself now. All of a sudden I'm lucky to get above 10 fps in a firefight and it takes me 3 full minutes to enter a single server. Fuck man I don't have nearly enough money to buy a new comp. And I was just starting to have a bit of fun with the game again.

May or may not be a bit expensive depending on what it is but it's still cheaper than a whole new computer.

You'd be surprised how much 1 old driver can ruin your day. I've noticed it more so on Linux mint. A day after a new GPU driver is released - my FPS goes to shit and I've got to spend hours trying to install the updated drivers. Regarding speed, I'd check task manager to make sure things like Windows update isn't hogging the bandwidth or CPU cycles. At a shove, I'd say use GameBooster and see if it makes a difference. It stops unnecessary processes in the background which is helpful for debugging. I've also found in the past that defragging your HDD will speed up game loading ([B]Although [I]never[/I] defrag an SSD - you'll royally fuck it up beyond repair[/B]) so that might be worth a shot.

Switch to and start topscoring as any arbitrary class and five minutes later there's six more on your team. Isn't really a problem for like engie or soldier or whatever, but as spy it's awful since he's directly as effective inversely to the number of spies on the team. They start DRing out in the middle of six people staring at them and butter knifing walls and suddenly everyone's spychecking all the time. I can understand the mentality though, "if it works for him obviously it's the best choice right now" but it's still pretty shit for everyone else on the team

the fact that pistol, syringue, smg and flare random crit chance is secretly rolling only one time every 12 shots. the concept works for miniguns, flamers and the shortstop since they waste ammo fast, but not for those other guys.

Listen quickplay you want to give me servers across the world instead of just nearby i can deal with that but for the love of jesus christ please stop ONLY giving me ones across the world. I will list servers and they will all be over 100 ping, not a single below even 80

So I love my little brother but look at what he did THIS TIME. [t]http://i59.tinypic.com/o6icuo.png[/t] So he got into tf2 a lot lately and the little shit thought he could go on [I]my[/I] laptop to nag some stuff out of my backpack because he ain't got shit since he crafted/traded everything away I gave him. He noticed I wasn't logged in to steam, he got desperate, he saw that I was auto-logged into backpack.tf and he thought: "maybe if I put up my sister's items for very very low metal, the items will magically land in my backpack!" Earlier on, he also asked if he could play on my steam account. I was like kid do you really think I'm that stupid? Ohhh, I'm going to family view the shit out of this kid. His passion for tf2 is really annoying but this did make me laugh in the end. EDIT: it went up to 75 trade offers. I should probably delete the ads.

the quickiebomb was actually kind of okay back when they accidentally removed distance falloff from stickies. since the shots charge up so quickly, you could use it to put out some pretty decent long-range damage. now it isn't really that good at anything

I never use my secondary all that often so I have it equipped. Neat for the occasional trap removal and finishing off people when out of ammo.

It's only real use is on 10x servers where it fires stupidly fast and spams the map.

Interesting, I never really pay attention when I use it I'd say that's balanced though considering it crits anyone who's on fire anyway though

Honestly, Flare is probably the best balanced weapon (relative to other options) in the game, Gunboats and Kritz aside, and I absolutely love it.
