So, I've just seen a whole team get their asses wrecked by a demoknight with the Warlock powerup
Booties+ Tage+ Eyelander demo that is.
WITH a extra 100 health on top, extra 25% damage resistance and 50% of damage received is reflected back.
Valve really didn't think of these powerups when it comes to this, did they?
I'm fine with the rtd plugin, but the "noclip" dice roll is really, really stupid.
rtd noclip was fun when i used to regrettably frequent some dumb little minecraft trade server with a childish "admins only" room. I waited as engie until I rolled noclip, then made a tele in there and invited everyone on my team in until I got banned.
Other than than its stupid because it just means Engie's can grief in areas where you can place buildings that they normally couldnt get to or spawncamp inside the spawn as heavy or demo. I had a few games where rtd ended an intense 15 minute firefight because one asshole rolled crits or scary bullets or toxic or some shit.

I used to just build in the Skybox when I got Noclip.
With Toxic however, well I'm not going to lie, I was an arse. On some Surf maps, I found sneaky ways to sit on small ledges near the enemy spawn and if I rolled Toxic, would exploit this. In some defence though, the server I used to do this on had spawn protection for 10 seconds so they could quite easily escape (many did).

Have you been in TF2 when demoknight first released?
it was horrible
i admit i was one of them too

The Ambassador on it's first day out the gates was worse. That hitbox recognition was hilarious (you could fire 90 degrees from a Scout's foot and SOMEHOW get a headshot), as was the drop system (remember: you could only get the new weapons from drops alone, they weren't tied to achievements at the time).

wait until i tell you about that one ctf_turbine server with rtd "noclip".
I always thought the Dead Ringer was a crutch but now I'm even more sure of it. Just played a few rounds with on some random servers and manage to top the scoreboard in no time. Yeah sure there were Valve servers but you have to take in mind that I don't play Spy. Like at all he is one my least played classes in the 2 years I played this game.
Playing engineer.
It's either "where is the enemy team, eeugh" or "aaah my crap gets getting wrecked and im getting spawncamped aaaah"

The gunslinger is always an option.
The gunslinger is always an option.
The gunslinger is never an option.
The gunslinger is always an option.
Some servers have the gunslinger disabled though.

Some servers suck.

This so fucking hard
The enemy team never shows up when I'm ready, but the second I step away there's a fucking horde of soldiers and demomen stomping my shit
Spy sappin' my sentry!
*runs all the way across the map to get back to the sentry gun, hit it once, and the sentry explodes*

Or you never see a spy the entire game, then a stray crit rocket kills you, and as soon as you die a spy comes along and saps your sentry. Bonus points if it explodes right as you spawn and you lose the game because of it.
When I try to teleport my sentry out of the line of fire with the Rescue Ranger and I right click on it and it just doesn't work, and I have to try several times before it actually does. I've lost so many lvl 3's to this :(

"Spy sappin' my- EUGH!"
You were killed by the late nightmoon341.
Hate this so much.
Not a single person walks into your sentry
-Spy saps it
-Half the other team appear from nowhere

I did this for the longest time until I realized there was a cost of 130 metal to "rescuing" buildings.
As an engineer, if I build a teleport in plain daylight and I'm sure the enemies will destroy it, the thing will last for ages and my team mates will rush to it
If I build a teleport in a hard to reach, clever area, instead, all the enemies will immediately home on its position like it has an aura or something and no one in my team will ever use it
I did this for the longest time until I realized there was a cost of 130 metal to "rescuing" buildings.
No no, I had the metal. It just takes several tries to work sometimes and I have no idea why.
Speaking of sentries, when I press 2 to switch to the Wrangler, see the Wrangler get pulled out, right click for missiles... TOOEARLYLOL, lets just lift that level 3 instead.
When Duel, trading or achivement servers suddenly turn into Sniper Fortress 2
You can't even leave your spawn without getting 10 blue dots after you.
Duel, trading or achivement servers
There's your problem right there.

I've lost so many sentries due to this...
Sentries are like nukes, they're a deterrent, not a weapon for killing stuff. They create convenient safe points for your team to fall back to and regenerate in peace.
Never understood the engineers building in 2fort intel rooms and camping there forever. Sentries belong juts behind the frontline, they reinforce the team from behind.

They are doing their job, protecting the objective. You don't understand basic defense strategy?
They are doing their job, protecting the objective. You don't understand basic defense strategy?
If needed, you can always have one guarding the intel, and then a second closer to the rest of the team.

You're having no fun though, which is the objective of the game.
