I didn't think mannpower was too bad to begin with was because i thought the powerups were temporary and constantly respawning, which seems to me a better idea.
Mannpower was never like that. They should put more focus on the grappling hook, and make the powerups less of a thing. I'd actually prefer they remove the powerups all together.
The lack of officially enabling only the grappling hook and not the major changes of Mannpower mode.
If you're talking about VALVe only grappling hook servers - no idea. If you're talking about enabling it on your own server, minus Mannpower upgrades:
Default cvars : tf_grapplinghook_enable 1 tf_grapplinghook_follow_distance 64 tf_grapplinghook_max_distance 10000 tf_grapplinghook_move_speed 750 tf_grapplinghook_projectile_speed 1500 ----------------------- changed on mar 13th 2015 tf_grapplinghook_acceleration tf_grapplinghook_dampening tf_grapplinghook_enable tf_grapplinghook_fire_delay tf_grapplinghook_follow_distance tf_grapplinghook_jump_up_speed tf_grapplinghook_los_force_detach_time tf_grapplinghook_max_distance tf_grapplinghook_move_speed tf_grapplinghook_prevent_fall_damage tf_grapplinghook_projectile_speed tf_grapplinghook_use_acceleration
Loch n load. Makes grenade aiming for bad grenade aimers easy. It's almost hilarious how much of a crutch it is.

Fuck the airblast and everything about its player-teleporting mechanics. Might as well just make it instagib you if you're anywhere near an environmental hazard, save everyone the time.
When you're on a server and it changes to 2fort, and not a single fucking person will vote to get off this dogshit map that exists purely for nostalgia-blinded twatmackarals, who wouldn't know good mapping if it bit their fucking dick off.
2fort has its perks you can simply guard your courtyard for an hour and pile up hundreds of kills, dominations and see how stupid people can get when upset
Sometimes when I feel like just chilling out I go to a 2fort server and just sit in the intel room as a pybro.
Was on a surf server. This is what happened...

I try using 2fort as a method of relaxing by setting up an Engie base and just chilling. I end up raging because apparently every fucking Soldier, Demo, Heavy, Medic, and Spy in the world can pinpoint my location no matter how far back in the base I am and spam their anti-Sentry weapon of choice.

I'd go to a less well-known map to do your engineer camping. 2Fort is going to get you killed. In other news? I hate the fact that Valve made such a big song and dance about their "Replay" feature, but none of the Valve servers have replays enabled. I have 2 server types available to me with replays enabled. One of them is barely ever occupied... And the other is a furry Vs Saxton Hale server. Or as I like to call it: "Hell".
Nothing like being a pybro and defending snipers from scouts who are trying to rush em and being a pest with the detonator against enemy snipers.

They think out something, threw into the game and see it how the community accepts it. If well enough, they spread it across their games/Steam. If not, they abandon it and never touch it again.
This is probably posted like a shit ton, but anyways. People who need to make a goddamn trade to ask if your (Not for sell) expansive item is for sale, instead of just asking it in the chat. No person wants to wait 1 min because of some shitty 8 year old's internet being crap!

Honestly, at least half the things on that list would be fantastic with some (in some cases, more) support. But they don't. Meanwhile, the most throwawayingest of the throwaway gamemodes gets constant updates and changes to it
random crits make medieval unbearable but if you remove them, then a ton of weapons become straight upgrades there's no solution...
random crits make medieval unbearable but if you remove them, then a ton of weapons become straight upgrades there's no solution...
I think there's like, what, two, three weapons in Medieval Mode that would become straight upgrades? And one of them's the Market Gardener.
so on a community 2fort server i go to regularly, some enemy engies (about 8) decided to build sentries bases on the bridges roof. It could of been destroyed,. If it wasn't protected by short circuits and wranglers and rescue rangers and the fact that it was close enough to our fort meant any hitscan class that tried to get a peek were obliterated instantly, even getting ubercharges was a issue when a third of them were spamming pomson beams at whatever cover any medic had or even wrangled jumped to suicide pick him because they knew their buddies would cover their stuff. Fuck, i honestly would of preferred endless streams of minisentrys if they didn't use any of those damn weapons
I think there's like, what, two, three weapons in Medieval Mode that would become straight upgrades?
Perhaps I misued the term "straight upgrade" but come now, there wouldnt be much reason to use bottle over eyelander. pretty much all stock melees become obsolete without rcrits
How about instead of random crits, random mini-crits?
Scouts. You know, the ones that buzz around your head while listening to 'Can't hit this' The ones that come running around the corner and crit you in the back Or the ones that have to throw a baseball at your head before they can even aim with the scattergun
That's their job. If a Scout is being annoying to the enemy team he's doing the right thing.
Snip
That's their job. If a Scout is being annoying to the enemy team he's doing the right thing.
And that's where the Natascha Heavies roll in.
the best scout counter is actually a 5-heads splendid screen literally have nothing to do but press mouse2, especially in a tight corridor that shield is incredibly underrated and underused.
Can we just make Instant Respawn Dustbowl servers illegal
On attack/defend or payload maps, instant respawn can actually be balanced if only the attacking team gets it. Helps dealing with really tough map/player defenses.
On attack/defend or payload maps, instant respawn can actually be balanced if only the attacking team gets it.
