I came across one of my favorite youtubers who plays TF2 but isn't known for doing TF2 related content in game today. He camped ctf_thundermountain mid with a few other people using the Gunslinger while holding the intel :suicide:

On the same subject, YouTubers and their fanbase. I was in a server with a guy named ArraySeven a couple of weeks ago and as soon as he joined people would not stop asking him "can I be in a video with you" or "can I get a screenshot with you" and he left after the first round. Like damn g some people just want to play the game why can't you just treat them like a normal person

Like damn g some people just want to play the game why can't you just treat them like a normal person
That's why most YouTubers like STAR_ and Jerma play on alt accounts when making their videos so they don't get swarmed. That leads to problems as well of course as I see people accusing accounts that are private but somehow doing really well of being star or whatever
LMAOBox users. Is there more to say?
like you guys are literally arguing against what plat players do, by using logic that only applies to bad players, and then expecting the result to be anything other than someone telling you that you're bad. Like if a chess grandmaster tells you something and you say no that doesn't work ever, he isn't going to assume its a bad strat, he's going to say its because you're bad. idk lol
are u elliot
LMAOBox users. Is there more to say?
even worse is when you can't vote kick them.
even worse is when you can't vote kick them.
That is, if the server doesn't blindly say "no" which seems to happen most of the time. Recently on a VALVe server, a very, VERY obvious Aimbotter joined and it took 4(!) consecutive attempts to kick him. Either not enough people voted or they voted no.

Either not enough people voted or they voted no.
I think any sort of successful votekick attempt against such a player needs to be preceded by you or someone else urging and explaining to the whole server what type of player they're facing and how it works. Most players, if they're not voting 'no' just to piggyback on the cheater's killstreaks, just seem so apathetic towards any sort of random, unexplained kick vote out of the blue. Very likely because people do initiate random kick votes without saying a word or explaining why the player deserves to be kicked. At the end of the day, this is an inherent flaw of Valve servers, which will always be such as long as there's zero moderation, no SMAC-like active anticheat plugins, and masses of random, anonymous people being matched into a random, admin-less server, including a ton of kids and newer players that have zero idea how lmaobox and votekicking works.
Personally, I'll always vote no to a votekick if no one gives me an explanation beforehead
didnt know what lmaobox was until now, its really impressive.
It actually is. I wonder if the developer would take the job if he were offered one at Valve.
He'd probably make more on his own.
appearently not wanting to trade the thing you never said you were trading makes you an asshole
Kinda bugs me how there's no killstreak kit for the crossing guard.
Adding on top if that, I hate it that there is no strangifier for the Maul.
Lately I have been encountering so many hackers. Just why, you ruin the damn game :suicide:
I just got a weird disconnect message about a computer problem messing with VAC. Currently running a scan, but man does that suck especially after I got a nice headshot from The Classic.
didnt know what lmaobox was until now, its really impressive.
From a programming standpoint, it is. I did a partial decompile in a VM (not risking anything now - it was also mostly Assembler) ages back and there's some pretty impressive stuff going on in there. As a programmer (uni-level competent) some of the methods he uses is pretty damn impressive (stole them for my own use for uni coursework). From a player standpoint - the author could have put his programming mind to making new game modes or something. Something useful and not built for skiddos to abuse. If no-one knows, he used to make hacks like that in private until he got too cocky and used his custom loader on his main account (with unusuals etc) and was banned by VAC (get too cocky, you get stung in the end). Now, he's out to be an arse and 'seek revenge' against VALVe due to something he shouldn't have been doing in the first place.

He however moved his unusuals/Golden Pan to a Alt account.

I ended up deleting my appcache to fix that problem. Might help you aswell.
Nothing, I mean nothing sucks more, thank picking your team up, going medic, saving them all and getting all the intel, then as soon as you die next round, you're autobalanced to the team with snipers and spies. It's offical, Autobalance is a vengeful robot, but instead of getting noticed by killing people, it puts good players onto shitty teams to make them ragequit. At least it's offset by the fact that I crafted and bought some good hats today.
Amazing how one taunt can start a personal vendetta against you. Keybind spamming, unusual wearing, pubstomping ALL CAPS couple really had it in for me, got me most of the time by ganging up on me, but that just made killing them both at times feel pretty good. The funniest part had to be the fact that one of them was actually kinda good and had the right to brag, but the guy playing along with him was terrible and could only kill me with assistance of the skilled one. I wish TF2 wasn't infested with these shitheads who find pleasure in ruining another person's fun.
Once I taunted a guy after getting a totally sick kill. Him taunting me back after getting me was expected and I figured that's that. What followed was just him tunnelvisioning me for the rest of the game. C'mon, I thought we were square.
I take enormous pleasure in killing people who taunt after completely normal kills against my teammate. I feel like I'm avenging them somehow, or punishing the taunter for getting cocky. More on topic, though, the fact that they only way to quickly get out of the Rancho Relaxo is to take damage. This makes it pretty much impossible to avoid spies if you're not backed up against the wall, and more importantly, incredibly difficult to remove sappers in a hurry.

Isn't such activity reserved for safer situations?

Does quickplay just not work on new servers? Because in the 24 hours it's been up, I have not had a single quickplay connection on my server. I even had 6 people on it for an hour, and nope, no connections

Heres a story for you lot. I was playing mannpower in all its unbalanced glory as a scout with knock out *cough op as hell cough* but I'm digressing. So i kill some guy(?) and in the chat appears: "i never noticed how the knockout symbol looks like Pewdiepies bro fist" which is replied with " i know it's cool right?" And then a third person said AND I QUOTE! " maybe valve put it in as a reference" I was bloody speechless and so forgot to screenshot it and all i can say now is: why?
your problem is that nobody ever changes the settings, and that there's a lot of instarespawn 24/7 hightower/2fort/dustbowl servers
errrrrr i totally dont run a instarespawn hightower
When someone is so mad at you that they start a vote kick to get rid of you cause you used a pomson...on them
Sets vote to kick a hacker for cheating- Vote fails Sets vote to kick the highest scoring person on the server for hacking (When they ain't). The person who is carrying the whole team- Vote passes Sets vote to kick a idle for idling- Vote fails Sets vote to kick a idle for cheating when the have done fuck all- Vote passes Just a average day in a Valve server
