I don't know how many time I've told engies that putting you dispenser right next to the sentry so an enemy can stand between them is a bad idea and every time they ignore me.
I don't know how many time I've told engies that putting you dispenser right next to the sentry so an enemy can stand between them is a bad idea and every time they ignore me.
And then they compensate by building an exit right between the two and stand on it the whole time.
I'm seriously considering leaving this game or taking a VERY long break, everywhere i go there are hackers and nobody does anything about them and if they're ever banned they can just make another account, and it goes on forever and VAC is the slowest thing i've ever seen. I can't even enjoy this game anymore and i never thought i'd even consider quitting the game that made me join steam. I wish LMAOBOX and stuff would just be dealt with, i'd rather play the mess that is Final Combat than Team Hacktress 2. Ok maybe not but it's still annoying on a server that doesn't have sourcebans/one of the 100 admins take 2 hours to react, i just want to play normal tf2 goddammit not sit in spawn and get my head blown off everytime i walk out.
Well, I have an information on my profile that I'll ignore friend requests from people with private profiles so if you're too lazy to read it, it's not my problem. Use trade offer next time.
Yeah, I'll make sure to check next time to see if I'm privileged enough to add someone. A lot of people share your Madagascar mentality without any notices on their profile.
A demoknight with warlock can walk up to my sentry and kill it without doing anything. WHY
A demoknight with warlock can walk up to my sentry and kill it without doing anything. WHY
Because Mannpower is a very unbalanced gamemode. sadly. Too bad, it seemed very interesting and fun, just wish the power ups didn't make a certain playstyle/loadout/class very overpowered.
Allow me to join the "I want to take a break from TF2 or better yet leave altogether" train As I reported before, I recently left my community servers of choice (skial) to migrate on the valve servers (basically I open the game, select quickplay, go for a random game mode and that's it) While my honey moon lasted for several days, I soon discovered that the situation on the official servers is nearly as bad as the community ones, at least as long as I'm concerned. To be more precise: - I left the community servers because I got sick of playing the same map over and over again. While on the official servers, in joining a game, you have a good chance to get inside a new map every time, the users have a nasty habit to immediately vote for the map they like the most out of the block, with the vote passing and the map changing and staying like that forever. You play on a Valve CTF server? People change the map to 2fort. CP? Dustbowl or Steel. And so on and so for. And the vote pass every fucking time - I'd dare say, the drop in quality of the average player is simply too much to notice from a community to an official server. Weeks back I wonder why all you people saw those lenny faces and "rekt": now I know better. By all that is holy, NOW I KNOW BETTER. There is also this general rudeness that I'd expect from a MOBA game, not from a FPS ("MY TEAM IS NOOB"). From the MOBA world, the official servers also borrow those stock expressions that just make my blood boil ("gg", "wp", "noob") and the occasional squeaker. Finally, and I know this will sound wrong, but what's true is true, Russians. Russians who only speak and write in Russians. Russians who insult you for using the server's language ("fuck America", "fuck Obama", "amerik cyka"). Russians who use the microphone and start making annoying sounds on purpose if aksed to spot or speak in English. After two years of playing Dota 2, I left the game for its community. The story repeats itself. It's also annoying how the community itself don't like to regulate itself (as Valve always naively expects), so kick votes always fall hollow I think it's time I find myself another relaxing game to play in-between study and other games
Disregard quickplay, look up valve on server browser and pick the server with a good ping and a good map. If they vote for 2fort, change server, you'd waste the same amount of time re-connecting on map change anyway. Toxicity is hard to avoid, but hud_saytext_time 0 and voice_enable 0 exist. I use the latter but not the former as somehow my experience with Valve servers doesn't match yours - nobody ever textchats in europe. Once in a blue moon somebody spams binds and gets votekicked. If you think I'm just lucky feel free to join my game on steam. *cue FP raiding all of my TF2 sessions*
You got yourself a deal
I honestly have never encountered any bind-spamming jerks or hackers on EU Valve servers. Even the highly skilled players I occasionally encounter there are often a good sort, or at least just silent. Never had problems with having too many spies or snipers either, or just new players in general.
And then they compensate by building an exit right between the two and stand on it the whole time.
The worst thing is when you get an engie that builds his stuff right next to you and then proceeds to move his stuff to your new position when you decide to move away from him. I know they are often trying to help, but the last thing you need is an additional target for explosives to hit near your sentries. Bonus points if they never build dispensers and somehow manage to use 3 times as much metal as your average engineer, and pick up big ammo boxes after "shooting" once with their short circuit.
I honestly have never encountered any bind-spamming jerks or hackers on EU Valve servers. People who want to shittalk or otherwise be cock goblins tend to be a lot more "direct" here, which is both good and awkward/bad :v:
Hum, honestly I am really the only one alright with the servers I play on? I don't know any good Servers for the mericalands but atleast in the EU there are two I heavily favor, the THG ones and the GHQ ones. THG isn't really the most active early in the morning but in the evening/night it's almost impossible to join, but when you join you get to know lots of friendly people and people talking over the mic, which is a rarity. GHQ is a lil' bit more active (atleast the Server I only play on, the Valve maps one) but has barely people talking over mic but however has a crit vote which sometimes votes crits to be off, if enough players vote for it which is usually at the evening - night. Perhaps some of these Server may resurrect some Joy people have lost in TF2 again.
So, I'm usually the one that likes to chill when it comes to these things but I had a game that was as stereo typically bad as it could get. There were three medics in a constant medic chain that was impossible to kill with gunslingers at every corner. I got crit multiple times by scouts who use that generic chatbind "Crits are fair and balanced". All of this continued as I was motivated to try and win the game while everyone on my team was disconnecting. Now, that wasn't the annoying part. I don't care about what the other team is doing. What I do care about is what my team does in response: no change in gameplay, no team work - none of that. I cycled through all of the classes trying to do something but I can only do so much as one person - I can't be the entire team. And so, this continued until I was one of four people left on a team while there were 12 other people I'm fighting against, to which I replied, "jesus christ" while disconnecting. I enjoy challenge and it's stupid that others don't.
I like to call Dustbowl " The map that you play when you don't feel like playing TF2 ". Because all you have to do to get kills is to shoot a rocket or a sticky in any of the billions of cramped corridors that exist on the map. Seriously I only play Dustbowl when I feel too lazy to actually work for my kills.
Yeah, I'll make sure to check next time to see if I'm privileged enough to add someone. A lot of people share your Madagascar mentality without any notices on their profile.
I have a nice box on my profile stating I'll ignore any requests from people who don't comment on my profile stating what they want/need but no one does that. My profile has public comments and yet no one uses them. What makes it funnier (to me) is they have to go onto my profile to add me in the first place (I don't use sites like Outpost which allows a user to direct add me without first looking at my profile) and there's a box in full view about adding me and yet, 9 times out of 10 - people are word blind and just go bananas when I reject their request. I've even had people hunt down the server I'm on and shout (in text form) why I didn't answer their request. It's like an alien concept for someone to have a decluttered friends list.
I get autobalanced about 2-3 times in the same server every single session. and this is not some mere "oh it's so annoying when it does that!" complaint. This is a literal concrete statistical fact backed up with repetitive, undeniable real-time evidence where it DOES DO that 2-3 times per session. not sure if I should go in a mad rage or not

We need an official Facepunch server so that our Valve server woes can end 3:
We need an official Facepunch server so that our Valve server woes can end 3:
We've had unofficial official facepunch servers but they usually go dead within a few weeks. Doesn't help that FP users are all over the world so its impossible to get them all in a serious server without half the players in lag city.
I got DOSed :( Worst part is I know who did it, and why, but I can't prove anything, or stop him short of making all his server admins leave

I've had a "1337 haxxor" (aka Skiddo who got his panties in a twist after he started to insult everyone and I banned him) DDoS my personal server I hosted on a shitty laptop before so I just put his DDoS IP into the Hosts file and forgot about it. He was dumb enough to: - A) use his home IP. - B )not use a proxy. On your note - nothing much worse than running a server without any admins. I sure as hell would not want to part-run a server where the owner is some script-kiddy who thinks DDoSing is amazing.

I did put in a REJECT rule for his packets, but then the outgoing traffic died because it was too slow.
kids who think they're hot stuff just because they play sniper on 2fort and have at least 7 medics up their anus at all times. bonus points if they use trash memes.
Wait who did it? And idea why?
The owner of a set of his own servers I used to be a member over there, until me and one of his admins decided we were sick of how he ran, or rather didn't run, the servers, and decided to make our own We kept this quiet, opened it up to the public, I did have a few of his (now probably former) admins join and play since we're friends, but never spoke up about it to anybody in the group Somehow he heard about it, and basically started insulting anybody who dared to mention my name, the group's name or anybody that had left to join with me, until eventually last night he flooded my server with the DOS Anybody who posted about it and wasn't a high up got an instant IP ban, as well as forum/shoutbox ban, and anyone who did show those images was completely ignored Not gonna post a name, but please avoid all Panda-Community servers, the owner is a complete incompetent asshole with a god complex. A clan group invaded the server i played on just because an admin dominated the owner of the said clan. They weren't hard to kill though but oh boy they were annoying. I mean come on, when was the "Le epik trolled faice :)))))" was still considered as a thing? And why were they spamming that whenever they killed somebody?
I confirm what I said: Team Fortress 2 became a MOBA Literarly you can't do anything without a fellow team mate supposed know-it-all chewing you out. You don't play as an enginner? Well, you should, because the guy needs someone to repair is shit. You don't uber someone because your meter isn't full and the patient die? You are a shitty noob medic. You are a spy and can't destroy all the enemy engineers nest in a second? You suck as a spy The "fuck this game and all F2P games" edge draws nearer and nearer
You got yourself a deal
Well that went smoothly.
why is the lnl still popular, i can't think of many situations where it would be superior to the grenade launcher.
because it's that op now, one less shot is nothing if you're good at using nade launchers you don't even have to be good actually
