Not sure about whole the subject of demoman/demoknight entirely, especially when I love the demoknight and the weapons, but I would of preferred to see the demoknight subclass as its own separate class, as it would have meant more unique gameplay options could be considered around a melee focused class without factoring in the demomans explosive weaponry.
It would also mean Valve could focus more on adding explosive weapons to demoman and help improve his area denial role, such as the stickies, he's placed as a defensive class, having a whole set based around using offensive only weapons which don't really help the rest of the team all that much other than in offensive situations, kind of goes against his original concept.
Alternatively, heavy might of been a better choice as a tank melee sub-class, I know some of his items, like the steak and the various melee unlocks imply that this was considered but I always feel it's not enough. Seeing as he is the 'Heavy weapons' guy, that could mean any form of heavy weapons, including melee's, something like a chainsaw or a huge sledge hammer replacing the minigun plus other items to go with that idea, could make an interesting sub class.

(Big post about weapons with blood on them)
For some reason, I never noticed that the Claidheamh Mor had blood on it until you posted this, and it's practically the only demo sword I use. Learn something new every day, I guess.
Actual content: I hate how sometimes you just get one of those days every so often where where you can't aim, and your reaction times are shit, and it's just: Guess I'm playing a splash damage class today".
about that post with blood
splendid screen has some textured too
People that come on my trade servers and use it as a strange leveling server instead of even trading. Most of the time, we have the full on trading but from time to time, we have people coming in just purely leveling up Strange weapons -_-
If you equip a weapon with >1000 kills or anything painted pink or lime on a valve server you should be immediately kicked.
I got kicked from a server for having Demomen Killed on my Black Box for racism.
The dude who accused me of racism was calling people as "niggers" and was wearing a white executioner and a white bruiser's bandana on his Medic.
Fucking Hypocrites.

Having a strange weapon with >1000 kills doesn't really mean anything. Leveling up stranges is a matter of time, not skill.
Part of the reason I don't really equip any of my weapons that are Hale's Own anymore. Not that I don't want to, I just don't really wanna hear the shit associated with it that I get. Using an Aussie and wearing an unusual? Ok. But have something that's a Hale's Own and you will hear so much bullshit from nubs.

blow me.

On mobile, the eyebrows of the title's lenny face are on the bottom of his eyes, making him look even more like a cheeky bastard.

So how about kicking people that have twice as many points as the others on the Valve server?
How about we don't arbitrarily kick people?

Players wont get better by playing with people of the same skill level.

Its ok baby, We veterans still see you as some piece of shit attention seeker.
Am I a bad person for having a 37k kills RL then?
I played on hightower for an hour a day for 6 months. All that time wasted...

No, you're a bad person for playing ONLY on hightower :P.
snipers are terrible
i don't even understand why that class is in the game, my best guess is that some lobotomized developer wanted to share his pain with the world.
Snipers in TF2 are absurdly weak for what the norm of "FPS Sniper" is.
Not only can they not instantly kill from a single hit to the head on-reaction, they must tunnel vision, forcibly strip their mobility, and wait 4 seconds before attaining that power (and even that can't guarantee the kill if there are damage resistances in play). Off the hip, the most they can do is bodyshot damage, even if they scope in and click on your head -- they must wait at least 0.5 seconds before a headshot can register as a critical hit. And even that can only deal 150 damage, which isn't enough to 100% kill anything because TF2 was designed with overheals being very important to the ebb and flow of gameplay.
Actually I'm pretty sure it's 0.2s which is much more of a difference than it seems. I'm not capable od quickscoping within 200m but half a second would probably deny my headshots a bit.
That was a typo on my part, 5 and 2 are right next to each other.

Unusuals and australiums are basically giant neon signs that scream LOOK SERVER I DEMAND YOUR ATTENTION. You cant really blame them for giving it to you.

Good snipers are a pain in the ass to play against because there only counter is sniper, dont have 3,000 hours on sniper, well youre screwed than. Meanwhile bad snipers suck because they make you have to carry there sorry gibus vision butts. Honestly sniper needs some tweaks so he is less annoying to play against, and pubs need class limits where good players get pick priority to stop f2p joe from playing 5th sniper and bitching that his noscopes only do 50 damage
You know what I hate about almost all the weapons released after the original unlocks (and some of the unlocks)? Most of the unlocks have visuals that match their stats. The Ubersaw obviously draws blood on hit, the direct hit is reinforced and looks more direct, for example. But things like the Back Scatter and the BFB have nothing to suggest their effects. They're just random cool scattergun models. Why would the Eviction Notice make the heavy swing faster? And the unlocks aren't immune. The KGB springs to mind.

A better question is why do brass knuckles do less damage than bare fists.
A better question is why do brass knuckles do less damage than bare fists.
he's punching so fast he doesn't make full contact with the victim, he just lightly taps them and then preps for the next punch.
A better question is why do brass knuckles do less damage than bare fists.
the same reason the jag hurts less
can we get over that now
A better question is why do brass knuckles do less damage than bare fists.
It's not actually made out of brass, just some polygons.

Depends, is the horse a fine misty pulp yet?
I'm not saying that the sniper is op, I just think snipers aren't fun to play against. They stray away from the games focus on close range combat and therefore becomes by far the least interactive class to play and play against. It turns out that it isn't fun to get instantly killed by someone standing way out of your range.
I think the main reason why they have the sniper in the game is not for balance reason but to appeal to players coming from more conventional fps', as his arsenal and movement options should feel familiar to most fps players. I'm sure that they could have made a balanced game without a sniper class.
Sniper (and Spy too) exists as a way to make things happen. He is the anti-thesis of damage being stronger up close and weaker far away.
If teams had no assassination classes to worry about, it'd be far easier to just camp and wait for players to come into your clutches so you can counter them and keep running the clock. It challenges the powerhouse classes to be wary of their positioning so they don't get gunned down from outside of their walls of pain, this coerces the game's flow to orient itself around having sufficient cover but a good enough view of the action that it's not boring. These natural chokepoints form when a potential Sniper's line of sight need to be respected and operated around.
I'd find a decent comparison to be zoners and chip damage in fighting games. If chip damage weren't a thing, it'd be easy to time out a match by just staying defensive once there's a health lead. The chip damage, however, forces the player to make a move on the zoner and get up into their face where they're weakest.
it looks much lighter than the stock wrench, getting smashed in the head by the jag would probably hurt a bit less.
However the Jag has that nasty looking blade on it. Surely that would make the person on its receiving end quite miffed.
