I just want leveled sorting on the server browser, but noooo.
I haven't played on a valve server in forever so I hopped in one that wass on hightower and I cap the cart the and win the game for my team. I get called a tryhard scrub and vote kicked off next map
I'm playing medic and managed to get separated from my team (stupid of me, I know) after we scattered because of a massed charge. I was close to Ubercharge when I get cornered by an enemy Demoman. I land a hit on him with my Ubersaw, giving me 100% charge, and quickly switch so I can uber and get away. In the split fucking millisecond it takes me to activate the charge, he hits me with a random crit and kills me right before the Uber takes effect. I fucking hate this game.
My name's NOT BOOOOOB

Honestly PLR on quickplay in general attracts the biggest gaggle of idiots you can imagine, which is sad because I honestly like the gamemode.
My name's NOT BOOOOOB
Sure thing, Boob.
My name's NOT BOOOOOB
of course...theres a "Y" at the end of that right booby?
My name's NOT BOOOOOB
You tell 'em, Tiddy.
Even if they do have sv_pure enabled, I'd still leave. Don't need to have "DOUBLE KILL!!" screamed down my ear 50 times.
cl_downloadfilter "nosounds" /done
My name's NOT BOOOOOB
According to your avatar, they must have mistaken you with Bob the builder. :v: [sp] Note to self: I should really stop with cheap jokes [/sp]
Poor boob can't get a break. :( on topic, on dustbowl (tf2 360 master race), killing people as a spy, when suddenly. 6 scouts all come at me. is class lock a blessing or a curse?
6 scouts? Dustbowl? And you're not an engineer?!
My name's NOT BOOOOOB
My name isn't Shane...
My name isn't Shane...
I've probably mentioned this before, but one person for whatever reason once thought my name was "LightFoot". It still offends me.
6 scouts? Dustbowl? And you're not an engineer?!
Have I ever told you about the joys of going Sandman/Mad Milk Scout on Dustbowl? It's so fun to be a annoyance to others sometimes.
I really hate teammates that complain about an Engineer doing badly despite the Engineer doing the best they can and THEY'RE the fucking ones that don't help the Engineer from having ten Demoman with Loch n Loads bombing your shit constantly. Fuck.
I feel like its become more common for people to get disproportionately angry about things and not just kills, loses, etc. Top scoring, spy checking, or just destroying a sentry seems to put players into a fury now. I'm hoping that I've just been having a few bad games.

Fuck.
I frankly have more trouble against Direct Hit soldiers than LnL demos. LnL demos usually at least have to move into a medium range before they hit reliably.
I frankly have more trouble against Direct Hit soldiers than LnL demos. It's alright, boob. Everyone here knows that people who play Engineer deserve an award for patience(and another for picking up a sentry right before three scouts enter the room you're in)
Community servers shouldn't be allowed to use the Valve tag.

I'm hoping that I've just been having a few bad games.
Apparently this is a hot topic in the field of Cognitive Science and Ludology. Jesper Juul says in Half-Real: Video Games between Real Rules and Fictional Worlds that he would like to
excise from the English language the phrase ‘just a game,’ because it pretends something that is not true, that failure is neutral as long as it happens in a game. [ … ] We must accept that this shiny surface of harmlessness creates a space where we can struggle with our failures and flaws.
Basically, as this thread exemplifies, just because it is pretend failure doesn't make it hurt less. It's very odd to see common gripes being picked apart by indifferent scientists and armed with technical jargon. I'm also reading Sound Play: Video Games and the Musical Imagination by William Cheng. It's a bit dry too, but at least it appears he has played the games. It talks about music and sound in video games like Fallout 3's licensed music, the Final Fantasy VI opera, and the sound design of Silent Hill. One chapter actually features Team Fortress 2, saying this in the abstract:
This concluding ethnography investigates players’ unruly voicings of agency, authority, and presence in a 2007 online shooter called Team Fortress 2. Foregrounding issues of gender politics and sexual harassment, the chapter scrutinizes how players negotiate strategies of domination, masquerade, and coming out through acts of speech and silence.
So basically talking about micspamming, squeakers, and overall pevertedness as the result of TF2's multiplayer community.
what it's like to use the disciplinary action [vid]http://puu.sh/i7Zda/9cd624d433.webm[/vid]
It's funny that the increased range only applies to the attack range itself, not the speed boost :v:
The melee hitbox of the DA is actually big enough to allow you to hit enemies behind you. It's almost a razorback.
MvM Boot Camp servers with Dice Mod and unlockable perks. There was an Engi on our team with 4 Dispensers
Players of all skill levels use the LnL since its a well rounded weapon. The DH is a fairly niche weapon and is only better than stock against a few classes. Mid skill players realize this so they use other rocket launchers to stay versatile. So it's only really equipped by good players who can see when its beneficial to change up their loadout, or by new players who equip it to try it out.
Comparing the direct hit to the loch Is like comparing the sniper rifle to the scattergun. Sacrificing splash damage is a big deal for a projectile that explodes on impact, on grenades which are already designed for direct hits its a a laughable downside. A better comparison is if you took the liberty launcher gave it 3 rockets and gave it a damage bonus. The loch needs either its damage, projectile speed, or 3rd shot removed. People use the loch because it is a broken terribly designed weapon that covers demos main weakness with puss easy to land grenades that for some sick reason do more damage.
...It was made to be a counterpart to the Direct Hit. They were both introduced in the WAR! update as fast, precision weapons that don't work if you miss.
...It was made to be a counterpart to the Direct Hit. Seriously quit defending your OP crutch its like when moronic baby face blaster scouts defend it by saying lul running faster makes it harder to aim XD
...It was made to be a counterpart to the Direct Hit. They were both introduced in the WAR! update as fast, precision weapons that don't work if you miss.
What? The Loch-N-Load came out in the first Australian Christmas update. It was one of the Polycount weapons, not a Valve-made WAR! Update weapon. Also, the Direct Hit and Loch-N-Load have similar stats, yes, but that doesn't mean they're equivalents. The Direct Hit replaces the Rocket Launcher, a weapon that relies more on splash damage than actual direct hits. The Grenade Launcher relies almost entirely on direct hits. Rollers are just a consolation. What they did was make the Loch-N-Load even better at what the Grenade Launcher already is supposed to do and removed the consolation rollers.
