Stuff that Annoys you in TF2: bind m1 say "( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)" edition

What people don't get is that Heavy, Pyro, and Engie, lamented as "easy to play" with their stock loadouts because it's easy for them to aim, are more difficult than the other classes in a different way - they force the user to position themselves correctly.
As long as a Scout doesn't go barreling into a Sentry, he can do just fine. Soldier can quickly escape from most situations as long as you don't fuck up too bad, as can Spy. Sniper's pretty simple in terms to positioning - just stand far away. And Demoman is powerful at any range but point-blank and distant, meaning he can go in and out of combat easily.
Heavy/Pyro/Engie, meanwhile, will get their asses handed to them if they just charge into battle without thinking about where they're going to go, especially against competent players. The first two must utilize cover until they can get close enough to their enemies to be effective, or else they'll get sniped and spammed from afar without being able to respond. And Engineers have to worry about four separate buildings and themselves - they'll quickly get overwhelmed unless they're staying unpredictable, moving their buildings around, and deterring attackers. It's high stress, especially when you have spies to consider. So sure, they might not be able to get sick juggles or require twitch aiming, but they have their own "skill ceiling" that separates the good from the bad - it's not just raw aiming skill, it's smarts.
If you're a Pyro then people will call you a w+m1er no matter what, even if you're only running around with the Sharpened Volcano Fragment & Flare Gun
Ah yes, the good times when people start yelling "w+m1 noob" after you kill them with a shotgun. Also "rage heavy" when you punch them dead with fists.

L0NGT!ME : Screw this shit, I'm out. Was balanced, nice and interesting before, now it's just unbalanced and exploited.
Somebody got mad I disabled all the unbalanced weapons on my server.
Why are people completely oblivious that a ton of weapons are unbalanced, and just make it unfun for everybody?

Curious, what weapons had you disabled?
Curious, what weapons had you disabled?
Initially, I had Loch revert itself to stock, reserve shooter to stock, DR with slightly less cloak regen/cloak eating, danger shield no longer gave resistances, and BFB was the same as stock.
However, after discussion, I reverted most of these because they need re-works, not just disabling.
The actual one he ragequit over was me making the gunslinger give -25 health to prevent the spammery of minisentries.
Has been said lots before but W+M1ers.
Played a round of Turbine today and encountered a pyro. I was at the top of the stairs to their spawn, he was at the end of the hallway. Quite a long distance. He already held down M1 and ran towards me at this huge distance, instead of something like pulling out his secondary

Why would you care? If they're out of range to actually burn you, that's a free kill. If they're in range, then they should be using their flamethrower.

Because he was like a drone. I gave him advice and whatnot but he persisted. Never changed classes either.
Probably could've worded my original post better but hopefully now you know what I mean
Man, the Map Workshop is gonna increase custom map servers now Valve is promoting them, and I can play cool things again that aren't 24/7 toiletbowl and everything is gonna be amazing and

is this really all there is

let me have my turn in heaven, various cool community contributors :C
Workshop maps are still not quickplay eligible so they won't make a full comeback at least for now
I just reset my router and now I have to wait a week to trade... Yay.
As a heavy main, I am genuinely saddened by valve's treatment of him. I understand that he's in that gray area you can't touch too much without fucking up but they went overboard. He's supposed to be a tank fighter with low speed, low mobility and high firepower and health. Once you work almost all the other classes around to find a way to take this threat down easy and nerf much if his own arsenal, you're defeating the purpose of even having a tanky class.

Valve has tried balancing him for pub gameplay rather than competitive leading to countless nerfs because no matter how much you nerf a tank he will always make new players wet their pants
Are you playing Fortress 2?
Because the game Im playing has a lot of Team Aspects in it. Unless of course you're trying to use pub carrying as the norm for this game.
the game requires you, the player, to take these aspects of each class and use them to your advantage on each situation, making decisions on the fly based on your perks and current loadout. it is a team-based game? yes, yes it is. but combat is often small clusters of 1~3 players per team, and no class is in a natural disadvantage as you describe it. no class is naturally weak agaisnt another class. that is one of the key elements of tf2 after all, you can be effective both as a lone wolf and in a coordinated effort with your teammates since the game revolves around objetives, not amount of kills.

If we're talking about pub play then Soldier is the most broken class in existence yet in comp one could debate he's the most balanced.
I was talking back and forth trying to buy an item off this guy with poor english, but it wasn't really working out well and after about twenty minutes of trying to find a way to say what I wanted with him understanding it this happened.
KRESKO: i sall sack fulla
cyan: yes I know, can you please put it in the trade
KRESKO: I sold it for a long time

I.HATE.Corners
Every time I run away by running backwards and then strafe right to the door which I've memorized it's location, the corner stops me from doing it. Even the smallest corner that lets me pass through stops my movement.

I know your pain, when I try to run away, I get stuck in the shittiest map details, like those around corners that I swear, they grab onto you.
I hate unlockable weapons.
yup, just all of them. Nothing specific just all of them.
It irks me that the Scottish Resistance gives you +6 pipebombs out
It irks me that the Scottish Resistance gives you +6 pipebombs out
Well, it basically expands upon the default Stickybomb Launcher's concept, if you consider their original purpose, which was to make traps on important parts of the map like Control Points, etc.
(It is obviously not the way players use any of the three launchers nowadays, but this one has a way longer bomb arm time)
Maybe the +6 stickybombs simply weren't a problem for me--what really irks me is the default Sticky launcher. It's basically a mixture of the SR and the Quickiebomb Launcher, and if you let me be honest, a pretty effective crutch.

Oh wow, I just noticed that lol

he's not complaining about how the weapon works, he's complaining that the stat description of the item says pipebombs instead of stickybombs

Well that was pretty literal.
Just use a description tag on it.
description tags don't work that way
description tags don't work that way
It would be wasting one, I know.

what about the sydney sleeper's no random crits
or the backburner's secret no random crits
or the gunslinger's mini-sentry text being red
or some other dozen flaws I forgot about

imagine having this feeling everytime you shoot your gun. that's what maining the brassbeast basically is.
Why are strange parts so expensive? I don't want to spend 20 ref to put Pyros Killed and Point-Blank Kills on my shotgun :(

6 keys for the damage dealt strange part? Really?
I'd buy a Collector's Bazaar Bargain for the same price!

but bazaar bargain is a shit weapon
but bazaar bargain is a shit weapon
Isn't that out of the question?
I personally like it, though that isn't my point.
