Spies Seriously, fuck them all
Your mother already does ;)
with all the reworks going around to appeal to the pubs, i'm really surprised that Sniper hasn't received some kind of nerf or rework. A class with a skill ceiling so high that Pros have a tough time dealing with a good one can't possibly be fun for a pub player, can it?
Sniper is built to not be unstoppable: Jarring Charging Overheal These are the 3 most important things to stopping a Sniper of considerable skill. Sniper can only deal 150 damage off of a reaction-shot. This means that anything that approaches him with more than 150 health will have an advantage, overheal pushes that advantage further. If he wants to take down a healthy player, he'll need to tunnel himself in on charging a shot, which opens up opportunities in other avenues. And of course the obvious answer: shoot him. Not only does it reduce his health, but it makes his aim unreliable enough for someone to approach him with more safety. Pubs lack the coordination to overheal players in order to keep enemy Snipers from being a constant threat. There's good reason why a Sniper's primary pick is going to be not only the source of the ever-important Ubercharge, but the source of his targets getting overhealed. Of course there's also the potential threat of other snipers but that's a different thing to wrestle with.
In my experience the tend to come in groups of two or three. So those 150 reaction shots are multiplied.
Pubs lack the coordination to overheal players in order to keep enemy Snipers from being a constant threat.
which spawns the source of my question. A good sniper can shut down a pub. In my experience, Stomper snipers are more ubiquitous than Demo Heroes, and equally if not more annoying, so why then, hasn't Valve gone ahead and nerfed Sniper too, to help the pubs like they usually do?

Provided the Medic doesn't walk himself into the Sniper's line of fire, a medic with decent teammates is the #1 way to take down an enemy sniper other than going sniper yourself. But this is the same issue with all things that involve an end user: Can't fix stupid.
So grossed out when I have to deal with more than one DR spy God, fuck spies.
a medic with decent teammates
And so we reach the root of the problem.
Your mother already does ;)
Please go back to leddit.
And so we reach the root of the problem.
I reiterate:
Can't fix stupid.

And of course the obvious answer: shoot him. Not only does it reduce his health, but it makes his aim unreliable enough for someone to approach him with more safety.
reason why I love the scorch shot #17
reiterating
The problem is that sniper is fundamentally a long rangr class and no other classes can compete at that range. Even in comp where medics and players are more than knowledgeable a sniper can absolutely shut down a team and is considered a top pick in highlander for that reason. The pocket isn't going to stop him, as all the pocket classes can't into long range. The medic has better things to do than pocket the sniper. So it comes down to your sniper to take out the other sniper. Sniper has no skill cap so whoever is more accurate wins and the team whose sniper has been killed is buttfucked and out of luck.

He is the anti-thesis of damage being stronger up close and weaker far away. If teams had no assassination classes to worry about, it'd be far easier to just camp and wait for players to come into your clutches so you can counter them and keep running the clock. It challenges the powerhouse classes to be wary of their positioning so they don't get gunned down from outside of their walls of pain, this coerces the game's flow to orient itself around having sufficient cover but a good enough view of the action that it's not boring. These natural chokepoints form when a potential Sniper's line of sight need to be respected and operated around. I'd find a decent comparison to be zoners and chip damage in fighting games. If chip damage weren't a thing, it'd be easy to time out a match by just staying defensive once there's a health lead. The chip damage, however, forces the player to make a move on the zoner and get up into their face where they're weakest.

Please go back to leddit.
Have you not seen meet the spy?
Have you not seen meet the spy?
So it's a meme reply?

We know why there in the game, doesn't mean they cent be changed to be less obnoxious while still fulfilling that role [editline]29th June 2015[/editline]
So it's a meme reply?
Do you know what a meme is?
You know what really gets my goose? People who think "your mom" jokes are funny. *cough cough*

Tell me, if you were a new player you'd understand your team's medic saying go means go, right? Or at least that helping doctor man with ghostbusters cosplay is good, no? If your team medic was glowing, seemingly impervious to gunfire, and telling you to move, you'd move, yes? Nope, better to keep trying to snipe people with the brass beast Apparently getting pissed off by this means I am a "tryhard" for some reason
It grinds my gear off that 90% of my time playing Medic in pub MVM is usually reviving dead people, all because for some reason they just can't do their robot killing job at all until my Shield dissipated.

When the rest of your team has 3 engineers, 1 phlog pyro, 2 spies, 3 snipers and 2 "beginner heavies" there's not much choice
When the rest of your team has 3 engineers, 1 phlog pyro, 2 spies, 3 snipers and 2 "beginner heavies" there's not much choice
I would have ubered the Phlog if he was doing good.
M2 pyros IE the ones that just airblast like mad
"Man the TF2 community is so toxic, these three guys I met on a valve server were so annoying and mean :("
you shouldn't pocket beginner heavies
No, be a nice person and pocket them so they have a good introduction to the game. Also as long as a beginner heavy sticks by the objective and shoots stuff he is useful. Indeed, it is very easy for new players to pick up heavy and do well with him as it is a simple class. If nothing else, healing him gives him a cushion for not doing as well.
the drop system is so meaningless when you've been on the ride since the start of the game YOU FOUND! THE BLACKBOX! okay woohoo big deal. for the 800th time. I've had the gun since the first day of the polycount update. at least in RPGS you can decide wheter to pick up garbage or not Even worse when you pay for it in MvM.

Go scrap.tf and sell them for metal 2 weapons as you should know= 1 scrap. Every little helps :)
It's not about the profit, it's just ... they coded an entire item distribution system with unique qualities and such and they aren't doing shit with it. the only good drops are either in crates or so rare that they might aswell not exist (paints, chems). when was the last double drop week? stuff like that.
I hate when lag is so bad it takes 3 seconds for the game to realize i died from fall damage.
Am I the only one who hates the Pyro's airblast? I find it find when it comes to deflecting projectiles, but when it's used to bounce players around, it just takes the fun out of the game IMO. Being controlled by the enemy player just doesn't seem fun
