Comp is dead because comp matchmaking is completely non-functional, they did't even make a vague attempt at matching together reasonable teams.
Yeah, as much as I'd love to see competitive TF2 hit the big time, the fact that the staff showed no support towards it whatsoever besides adding competitive medals into the game for fan leagues and adding a queue/competitive queue RIGHT AFTER Overwatch released (which proved to be incredibly buggy and poorly thought out) probably nixed any chance TF2 had of being a big E-sport.
I absolutely love the idea of adding folders to your backpack for better inventory management. Hopefully it wouldn't something that's too hard to implement.
Instead of folders, let's do filters - you can browse more than one, and apply your own.
how about we just add the ability to drag and drop more than one backpack item at once? would make manually reorganizing your backpack a whole lot more user-friendly. right now, you can highlight multiple items, but you can't do anything with them besides bulk delete them.
I know everyones like "this game is held together by 99 cent scotch tape" but my big wishes are just more everything regarding to items, not just an easier way to manage inventory.
A badge slot, more taunt slots, more loadout tabs, another action slot and even a custom loadout tester within TF2 without having to use an external website.
Also could they please just make unlocked crates the norm? Why are unlocked crates coming and going for events all the time?
Valve ought to just buy UGC and ETF2L (and ESEA?) and have them guide them in making a proper matchmaking system for TF2.

And have competitive as we know it grind to a halt because valve has no sense of priority or deadlines? The only reason it's ever been a thing is because the community has picked up the slack from the TF team.
How about no.

God, I hate Valve. Anytime someone says "TF2 is dead", it's because of something Valve did. I really wish the TF2 Team would explain decisions they've made in the past that were received poorly, and give us more insight into Valve's collective opinion of them, etc etc. Because being in the dark against all the things they do that we often hate has always been the worst part of TF2.
Valve's corporate structure and business philosophy are relics of 20 years ago when they were a small company and player-to-dev interaction seldom occurred, respectively. Valve refuses to get with the times and regularly communicate to their customers as is normal in today's world of game development. They refuse to dedicate staff to projects, instead opting to let them do as they please, and you have a better chance of seeing a leprechaun riding a unicorn than seeing new employees at Valve.

Anybody know on average how many gifts a person has given recently to get the gifting man hat? 400 in a day? 500?
It's a crapshoot. You can get it with 10 if nobody else is trying (I did this once) or you can drop 250 of them only to have someone else do 300 the same day.
Making a koth map thats "comp accepted" is extremely difficult and virtually impossible given how closed-in the comp community is
Still worth it to try. You won't become a better map maker if you don't challenge yourself to make more maps after all.
Still worth it to try. You won't become a better map maker if you don't challenge yourself to make more maps after all.
I don't know. In the 6s community, there is *one* accepted koth map, Product, which is just an edited version of an already existing Valve map. I'm sure many people have tried to make a 6s koth map only for it to be called "aids" the second someone looked at it, denying any publicity and instantly making the mapper quit trying.
I do like the idea of the "payload cycle" gamemode, but I think we should also try to get more maps in of gamemodes that aren't stalematey in the first place. For instance, KotH. The time limit after the first point makes it so the game isn't a stalemate. But, in 6s, the only one that gets played is Product (which isn't even in the game). King of the hill is the only other gamemode besides maybe A/D (stopwatch) that works for 6s. So we need new maps. I could try learning hammer again... but I always forget everything I learn after going through a tutorial and lose interest.
I find KotH so much more fun to watch in 6s than 5CP just because of that timer.
I hope that along with doing some map upgrades for the comp update Valve adds in a couple of KotH community maps that could work for comp like Coalplant (Ashville isn't on the workshop from the original author, and honestly I like seeing a little variation in map theme, the foundry theme isn't used much), Bagel and Arctic.

viaduct is a community map, its an old one that valve bought outright

Has anyone noticed anything weird about certain payload contracts like the Hightower one? For some reason if the RED team was on the BLU cart defending it(I'm meaning standing in range to push it), and I a BLU player, killed one of the REDs on the cart, it would count as killing an enemy pushing their own cart.

Thats not really surprising - people will always find some kind of excuse to not say that they are simply burned out but the game is bad - afterall, the problem is the game, not that they possibly have played it for 3000 hours already.
I saw people leave because they nerfed the Axtinguisher. Trust me, people will find the most retarded reasons.
Holy crap I finally reached 1 million damage on one of my rocket launchers :scream:.
God, I hate Valve. Anytime someone says "TF2 is dead", it's because of something Valve did.
No. Anytime someone says tf2 is dead, they said it because of something Valve didn't do. That's got nothing to do with Valve, it's about people's expectations being unrealistic.
If what you said was true and people actually left because of Valve's bad decisions, TF2 would be a much worse game than it is. I've seen it happen with other games. Valve isn't that kind of dev.
Now if the TF team actualy had some structure and not be a hobby in the valve office that would be great.
I wish Valve would just fucking sue nullifiedcat. He is directly contributing to the downfall of this game.

Happens on control points as well. Some people report that suicide while capping counts as defense.

Surprisingly, suing children and throwing them into prison actually worked in a few other games. Might be slightly more difficult in the US, but hey, it's better than being doxxed, and having a gang beat the shit out of you like in the past.
Did Blizzard succeed with getting several Cheaters sued?

The old valve would have offered him a job and then had him arrested when he showed up for the interview.

Can we have Soviet Valve where cheaters are thrown into a gulag in northern Canada, and forced to fight each other to the death for a chance at unboxing freedom via a new crate series?
Was in a game with a lmaobox hacker being balant as all hell. He and I started votes to kick one another many times over - guess who was ultimately the one the vote succeeded on? :hammered:

I played with a LMAObox user this morning who was a heavy with effectively unlimited health. I hadn't seen this before and didn't realize it was possible but looking it up it seems like it's something LMAObox users can do using the new GRU and health kits.
Played some 2fort last night. catbots joined like 5 times. We successfully kicked them as soon as they joined the game, both teams did so. It felt so good. I'm happy that people preffer to have fun, clean games without any retard to ruin it. :)

Spies can still one-shot them with backstabs, I'm pretty sure, so try that next time you find one
