I don't know if anyone has realized this, but the projectiles for the Dragon's Fury don't appear to emit from the weapon, but rather, Pyro's face.

Same as every weapon.
Not for projectiles.
Not for projectiles.
They all fire out from roughly the center of the screen. You don't have a projectile weapon that fires from the bottom or extremely off the side.

that reminds me, I still see plenty of spies stomping with the new ambassador. are we sure that gun is truly ruined?

They spawn ever so slightly to the right, not quite as much as other projectile weapons I think. It also doesn't match flipped viewmodels (last time I tested it anyway), unlike other projectile weapons.

Life finds a way.
So a few days ago I typed resetplayerstats in console while fucking around.
Over 1300 hours and 6 years of statistics gone in a few keystrokes :suicide:
On the bright side, fresh start I guess?

honestly those stats don't mean much.
honestly those stats don't mean much.
They really don't lol.
Something interesting though is how the game essentially thought I was a new player afterwards. I got a pop-up to request a coach and some other tutorial-esque stuff
Because that ain't the goal of 6v6. You are free to play whatever you want, although it's polite in practice matches to play the meta you'll be facing.
The reason it revolves around those classes, is because they're the only ones viable to be run for a majority of the time. However, games often hinge on those key moments, where say a surprise sniper pick or a heavy or engie-led defense gets you the round. Those classes are objectively better and are picked in those situations, which just aren't all the time.
The standard 6s lineup all game will lose against tactical offclassing. This has been proven time and time again.
Do you think there's a chance that we'll see full-time Heavies and Pyros being run with the unbanning of Gloves of Running Urgently and Thermal Thruster?
I can't believe we've reached a point where the mantreads are appearantly overpowered

The best one I ever saw was a video meant to look like it was in-game. A spy player sneaks up behind an Engineer, and then suddenly the Engineer's head rotates 180 and a shotgun comes out of his mouth and kills the player. I wish I knew where I could find this video again.
Is it just me or catbots are quite inaccurate and delayed compared to other aimbot hackers?

Every weapon/class in the game is Overpowered if you learn how to use it correctly.

In pubs, maybe.
[editline]10th January 2018[/editline]
I want to see an attempt made at a 6s format with the following classes:
Scout
Pyro (Thermal Thruster)
Soldier (Roaming)
Heavy (Gloves of Running Urgently)
Demoman
Medic
Whether or not it will actually work is up for debate, but since those weapons are unbanned I'd like to see it attempted a few times and watch those games.

Wondering who would be the dedicated pocket... I'm presuming either the Pyro or Heavy?
Wondering who would be the dedicated pocket... I'm presuming either the Pyro or Heavy?
Heavy. His job would be to deny bombers, especially during the first mid where he'll have 100 (150 with overheal? I think that's how new GRU works anyway) health from GRU or slightly more. Pyro's job is to flank or deny spam with airblast.
Heavy would diminish the power of Soldier, and Pyro would diminish the power of both Soldier and Demoman. Because of Pyro, we might see more Shotgun-running Soldiers, etc etc. Very interesting things would happen if this became normal.

Has anyone stated why though? That's what I'm curious about lol...

I was going to argue that by the time Heavy got to mid he'd have 50 health max (and overheal doesn't apply for some reason when GRU has reduced Heavy's health), but I just tested the rollout and by the time Heavy properly gets to mid (on Badlands at least), he'll be back to around 250 health, 200 at the very least, so you never know. If I find a 6s team in time for the next season, I might try it out, I've been itching to try 6s for a while now.
Maybe the airstrafing makes the rocket jumping guy strafe in the air too fast for the snipers to hit them well or do they affect the hitbox due to airstrafing speed?

Snipers have nothing to do with it since Sniper isn't run in 6s until last. But it is much more difficult to hit airshots and scattergun shots on a Soldier strafing with the mantreads

Well, the GRU only puts you down to 100 health and no lower.
EDIT: Why the fuck are the mantreads banned
I recall that all new weapons are banned - and probably significantly rebalanced weapons - and are one-by-one unbanned to be tested in a competitive setting to see whether or not a weapon deserves a ban.
Might not be the case here, and in such a case I can see the whole "increased air movement" stat as being a bit weird to go up against since it makes them a lot harder to predict.

You can stomp with just about anything in pubs. The Ambassador is still a downgrade to Stock in terms of damage output, harder to use for something resembling that damage output, and pretty vastly outclassed by every other Spy primary, sans the Enforcer, which still totally blows.
The ONLY time the Ambassador is good is when your target has under 102 health and is within 512 HU...or close range before any falloff occurs. But...in that same range, the Revolver has ramp-up and can outdamage it in two rapid bodyshots versus one headshot.
Stock is easier to use, more reliable, and better in pretty much every situation...and in the few where it isn't, the extra skill required of the Ambassador and the downsides that come with it simply aren't worth it. By restricting the Ambassador to close range for its effectiveness, it's made irrelevant by Stock. Even prior to the nerf, most Spies weren't getting max value out of the Ambassador and would've been better off running Revolver.
If I need to, I'll make a detailed video breakdown of this whole thing. I'll show ranges, times to kill, etc.
The new Mantreads make me feel so free. I can strafe around any corner, strafe in any degree radius, weave between any projectile. Might as well have autopilot on.
While we're talking about Soldier, here are some interesting Soldier animation facts you might not know:
-The Cow Mangler has a firing animation that is distinct from all other Soldier primaries.
-The Concheror uses a different animation when activated than the two other banners, which share a single animation. In addition, these two animations each have separate RED and BLU versions, which don't seem to have any difference.
-Most classes only have 1 "airborne" animation per weapon. But Soldier has 4 airborne primary animations, each triggered upon different events, such as rocket jumping.
It might be both air control and knockback resistance. Not only is it hard to hit a bomber, it probably won't affect their damage on your Medic anyways, cos they won't be knocked back far enough.
They don't just increase your own control over movement, they also negate it being controlled by others.

yes but
landing 2 shots is that, two shots. two separate attacks that each come with separate accuracy and risk.
amby still nails shit in the head with one click and from what I've seen you don't actually have to tell your enemy's eye color for it to work

two quick shots at center of mass are easier than a single headshot. you can pretty much align with center of mass and hold down M1 the entire time. doesn't matter how good you are, aiming for the head instead of the body makes it a lot more likely for you to miss.
the ambassador's new effective range is stock's effective range, and stock has always been better than the ambassador there, even prior to its nerf. hitting headshots is still satisfying, but it's no longer a superior option to stock in any real way. spies doing well with the ambassador in pubs isn't proof that the weapon is still viable. people still running ambassador are running it out of habit or for the fun of it, but it has almost no value aside from that.
Spy shouldn't headshot
