Not only that, but at rare times I've actually seen player models invisible too. Don't remember if that was fixed/seen it in the Pyro Update tho.
Doesn't work for invisible weapons I believe. At least I've not had any luck with it... I've had that bind for ages too. I've not had invisible models though since I removed all custom shit out of my custom folder so I can't speak on their behalf though.
I'm getting a hacker every 2 maps nowadays. Sometimes an aimbot, but what's worse is when it's really subtle like a Soldier perfectly shooting the feet of everybody even if you're behind or a Scout crit-hacking to get crits more often than normal but not all the time.
It's part of the meta now to convince the other team that one of their teammate is a hacker. I hate this.
Either I'm lucky or you're all exaggerating. I've gotten 2 hackers in the past ~week of playing an hour to two a day, and both times as soon as I found out they were hacking, our team had already initiated a vote to kick them at 7 to 1.

Probably a third option, where what happens depends on the people in the server, among a playerbase of thousands

thanks, i took them all
I hate "defend(cart/cp)" missions. I just can't seem to get a situation, where people stay on the point and don't get off of it to fight me.

Gotta use inst-kill weapons to consistently get defend kills (especially cart defences) from what I've found - spy or sniper's a good choice.

Or play demo and put a bunch of stickies around the cart. A 100 damage grenade is also a decent way of killing people pushing the cart since there's a decent chance the enemy took damage before getting to the cart and the cart really doesn't heal that quickly.

I tried it. Either they're too far away from the cart for contract to count it or they see my stickies and instantly destroy them.
This technique only worked on briefcases for me as you could hide stickies in the model.

I really don't understand why Valve didn't make all map objectives like the one for Merc Park, where the bonus objectives are winning rounds and a single objective for both capping and defending.
Defend cart missions were easy. The cp defenses were 200% more annoying
Is it just me or are almost all Jungle Inferno servers I end up on running Mercenary Park, Mossrock or Banana Bay?
It's true I haven't been playing a great deal of these new maps since the update hit, but I've never ended up once on Brazil or Lazarus, and only once on Enclosure. Queued for just the two KOTH maps once and ended up waiting for several minutes without finding a game, got fed up, re-queued with the other maps and found a Mercenary Park server in 15 seconds....
Are people only queueing for the first three maps?
They could improve the Campaign by 100% if they just removed or halfed every single "defend something" contract because holy shit that has been the least amount of fun I ever had in tf2 sitting with stickies on a cart
or make it atleast more tolerable because doing that contract with anything that isnt an instant kill wont work because unless people are actually in sexual contact with the cart it wont count

well, technically you don't have to kill anyone to defend the cart, you just have to stop it by touching the cart/cp, though killing works too

you can hide stickies in traffic cones like on dustbowl 2 A and B. If your team pushes blu back after they push a payload over a point, you can put bombs on the point and the cart will roll backwards onto it. There are also rollback zones like on hightower; good luck finishing the round, though.
As a side note, doing this contract line let me finally unlock the Sticky Thump achievement.

"Kill enemies pushing the cart"
I'll never understand why I can invite a friend in my party, let him do my contracts while I stay afk and get points but can't get any point in the "defense kills" contracts while healing as medic or doing assist kills.
You can also apparently kill yourself with an explosive while capping a point on offense and it counts towards defending a point. Not sure if it works with more than just yourself on the point.
I guess you defended the objective from yourself?
For the "Defense" objectives on carts, I just played spy with YER. Spy can get behind enemy lines, and usually the enemy team is facing forward while pushing the cart. Simply wander up and stab them all, then retreat and wait for it again.

Now that YER is significantly more viable I tend to use it for annoying individual players more. It's such a "fuck you" when your corpse disappears.

I've considered taking Banana Bay off my maps list. I really like the map, but it seems like I'm getting matched into it nearly every time I search.
I wish there was an option to not include last map played when searching for a new match.

Yea it's rather odd. I have noticed the same with Degroot Keep, almost every single time I enable it, I get matched into it.

If this is true I wish I knew this earlier. I completed all the contracts so I can't test it out.
am I the only one who feels bad for pl_enclosure in this update? it doesn't have a single contract for it so noone wants to actually play it.

I completely forgot about its existence and now I feel bad

what about sujin which for some reason got two campaigns feature it
what about sujin which for some reason got two campaigns feature it
Well the branch was made by the same person who thought 2fort, Turbine and Hightower are perfectly acceptable maps to make missions for.

There's also the bug where staying near the enemy's cart while they're pushing it sometimes counts towards the "push the cart" bonus contract. I had this happen recently on Banana Bay, after I had flamethrowered three people pushing the cart.
