The Series the Smissmas Skin everyone gets came in is called "Mann Co Events" and not just plain "Mann Co. Crimbus Xmas special" really makes you think
New skins are pure beauty, cosmetics are alright and strange festive weapons are rip I don't even play TF2 a lot nowadays but I'm in love with this update
here's what I found in my usual fuck around offline for an hour while trying to find a game [T]https://i.imgur.com/sS6W35B.jpg[/T] this door no longer closes once 1st point is captured, other 2 still do, most likely a bug the new forward spawn seems to function somewhat like frontier's 1st forward spawn, the old forward spawn isn't unused though, once 2nd point is capped you don't immediately get the new forward spawn (presumable so red players who were trying to defend the point aren't instantly surrounded), you get the new forward spawn a few seconds, but unlike frontier, in that brief period you don't spawn in the room near cap 1 (which you get after 1st is capped), but in the old forward spawn (the one right behind 2nd) this is the only time this spawn is accessible, however if you're unlucky as I am to spawn a little before you get the new forward spawn and walk through the door, if you're under the door wen you get the new spawn, the door will close and crush you, (that spawn will be permanently locked again) [T]https://i.imgur.com/fRBCvMD.jpg[/T] I got squished twice here, once in each of the 2 games I got, if this spawn will only be used for a few seconds in each round, it really should just be removed and keep spawning players in the first forward spawn in that brief time till the new forward spawn is available, otherwise I see myself dying here a lot
That's the thing. I DON'T have cookies disabled.
it's been like this for months, nothing to do with your browser, actually the wiki has always been full of bugs
Medic Squeezebox taunt is my new favorite taunt.
Also folk, it's always easier to give negative feedback, but if you want to brighten someone's day, doesnt matter if item creator, artist or map maker, if you like something - tell them that, too many people stay silent if they like something.
Having the actual war paint is so frustrating... I don't really want to create a new weapon, as most of the weapons I'd use it on I already have something else there already... Wither it be a festive piece ( flamethrowers or minigun ) for festive load outs... Or Heavily strange weapons that I'd probably just end up sticking with them and never touching the unusual version I had of it... I really wish it just allowed us to "paint" existing weapons dangit... I would totally paint my Strange Original if I could...
Also folk, it's always easier to give negative feedback, but if you want to brighten someone's day, doesnt matter if item creator, artist or map maker, if you like something - tell them that, too many people stay silent if they like something.
Positivity ( within reason ) is always a good thing and I can totally stand behind these statements... If people work their butts off on something to try and make it work it's encouraging to see them succeed, not only to the person your positive towards, but honestly, it's encouraging to myself as well.
Also folk, it's always easier to give negative feedback, but if you want to brighten someone's day, doesnt matter if item creator, artist or map maker, if you like something - tell them that, too many people stay silent if they like something.
All feedback can be extremely useful. Negative feedback can be used to find flaws that you can improve upon. Positive feedback can show you where you might want to see if you can expand upon it -- and if you're not getting much feedback for one feature relative to your other features, that's useful information too.

I was under the impression he was talking about feed back that isn't helpful at all. Generally the feed back that is pretty much "I don't like it so it shouldn't exist" nonsense that helps no one and makes you look like an asshat lol. Uh, not you specifically Geel. That is how some of the negative criticism has been the last few pages though.

It's easier to give positive feedback than it is constructive criticism.
Either way, Baloonihoodie is such a pleasant model to look at with a well made texture. Realy, my only minor gripes are that when I check it with Team Spirit paint in TFMV it doeesnt mesh well with TS colouring on characters themselves and that Flamedeer doesn't clip well with it (which doesn't change the fact that I realy want to get it for my Pyro!).
btw this is what was going on in the secret maptest me and other folks were in
This is wrong though. It's easier to give positive feedback than it is constructive criticism.
If directly pressured for an answer, yes, it's more common to give positive feedback. However, customers rarely feel the desire to express positive feedback unprompted, whereas they're much more likely to express negative feedback publicly.
This is wrong though. It's easier to give positive feedback than it is constructive criticism.
Perhaps I have worded myself incorrectly; It's easier to say "This is shit and this hat/map/etc suck ass" than actually give constructive criticism - then there is the thing that people tend to rarely mention if they actually like something.
the geometrical teams war paint is disgusting, it doesn't even tile properly and doesn't even have a phong mask. [T]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/916911757164649176/76FFEAC50C7167E6C60329BC2F88FCCC0ADDF93A/[/T] how in the hell did they accept this thing? i mean no offense to the creator, everyone starts from somewhere and people upload their babby's first submissions to the workshop alot, but why ACCEPT this to the game? EDIT: this is not about the design/idea of the pattern, it's more about the technical side, it not tiling properly and being super shiny ruins it.

The War Paint, Neo Tokyo does not oddly enough... [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/904526663728464186/D8F06F101D9FF8529D0234167383B099E49217DB/[/t]

So as is the norm, I'm gonna make a complaint. [t]https://i.imgur.com/hcBTzdG.png[/t] Both of these are Festive Mediguns. The former is the "original" and latter being the festivized variant. What's the difference besides the festivized ones not (currently) having a unique backpack icon? Nothing really. However, if you apply any sort of filter or killstreak to these both, you get this: [t]https://i.imgur.com/yCDWGPk.png[/t] This is because classic Festives actually had their names "Festive (weapon)" as they were entirely new entries in the item schema that have entries to display a "new model" on top of the existing one - the same way the Kritzrkrieg and Natascha work. New Festives are just the normal weapon's schema entry with an attribute attached that displays a model and item prefix, in the same way a strange filter or killstreak kit would. It's a really small detail, but if you're collecting all Strange Festive weapons and putting killstreak kits or filters on them, it really is a mildly annoying inconsistency. It's unrelated-but-related but I hope the TF Team adds something to retain the original Festive's value. Maybe a unique particle effect when taunting with the item's active taunt (i.e. like how the Saharan Spy set gives the whirlwind when used); even if it's just the winter noisemaker snow particle effect, it would probably work to retain the items' value. Then again that might be a bad idea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Make the vintage part of the name Blue, the strange/killstreak part of the name orange and give them a new blue and orange border. Make non strange ones straight up vintage.
Can they even fit all that text onto the weapon name? "Vintage Strange Specialized Killstreak Festive Medi Gun"?

The cables on the new ones seem to be missing their rimlight as well.
The new forward spawn is so incredibly easy to spawncamp. One Phlog Pyro and a Medic can stop the entire game.
The new forward spawn is so incredibly easy to spawncamp. One Phlog Pyro and a Medic can stop the entire game.
Yeah I played a game on the new Merc Park yesterday and we spawn camped Blue at that spawn for awhile. It should really have more than one spawn exit.

Also did anything happen overnight ? After the 2nd update?
Something is off with the rainy day cases and im turnin' nuts Some of them sometimes have a ribbon on them, inspecting them shows they are normal rainy day cases, refreshing the page makes the ribbon go away what the fuc
They re-use the same case model to make the Festive Case, so I guess something broke between that.
Then inspecting it should show the festive one. If this is a bug - how the fuck does this happen?
Then inspecting it should show the festive one. If this is a bug - how the fuck does this happen?
10 year old game with a dev team that literally introduces new items, functions, and designs solely to say that they did and then don't touch them again It kind of feels like a new person that learns to mod a video game system they got. "Oh man, what if it had a sticker system?" "OH MAN, WHAT IF WEAPONS COUNT KILLS TOO?" "oh shit, what if you could put skins on certain weapons?" "Dudes, stick with me - decals on cosmetics" "YOU CAN ONLY SEE CERTAIN ITEMS AND MAP MODIFICATIONS WITH CERTAIN COSMETICS"
Then inspecting it should show the festive one. If this is a bug - how the fuck does this happen?
It's just the backpack icon.
It's just the backpack icon.
I'm well aware. However this must mean there is a Rainy day backpack icon with a ribbon on it.. that somehow gets used. Sometimes. And it gets reset.
