I'm sick and tired of people talking down on engie mains. Have you ever tried to play him and have the god like mine aim you need to play him? Sure I may forget to put down teleporters sometimes but I get crucial kills and help win games. You try climbing to death merchant like me playing only engie yeah I thought so because you don't have the skill to play engie. Just stop bullying us engie mains cause you're just jealous of how skilled we are.

I’ve been to a Valve meetup at San Diego Comic Con the past five years. Looking over the pictures, the number of cosplayers has dwindled until there were fewer than 9. And the Overwatch panel didn’t help matters much.
Sadly there wasn’t a meetup this year. The Medic who hosts it apparently dropped out according to PMs on Steam.

People put down Engie mains? Engineer is a very useful class.

I have heard something along these lines, but it's hardly universal. A good Engineer is an appreciated member of the team.
Soo.. I've been out of the loop on this. Was this confirmed as a jape?

If so, I'm gonna be really bummed out; I really wanna get my hands on that Viewfinder and Assault Cannon.

Wasn't the consensus that these weapon files have been in the game for months, if not years, thus making any discussion beyond "Valve didn't add them" redundant at best?
no. the consensus is they were downloaded from a custom server.
This is only peripherally related to TF2, but Nathan Vetterlein is currently streaming Die Hard and commenting over it. He's talking about how the movie inspired him to make the Scout voice: https://www.twitch.tv/chiliofdestiny
I don't really watch his stuff much, but he's stated on multiple occasions that John McClane/Bruce Willis' ''Glass, who gives a shit about glass!?'' line from Die Hard 1 is basically the line he uses to get into Scout's voice and character. Specifically the way he pronounces 'glass'.

I'm 95% sure you're talking about something that was quite a while before Jungle Inferno, Tyler only did a video on these around the time of Inferno's release.
Sorry for taking too long, but rate anything to get a chance to win a key. Will be delivered when the 7 day thing expires.
Happy navidad, fellas.
I wish they'd change the amputator taunt effect to something else. I keep mistaking it for quickfix uber.

Or at least change the particle effect. That should help with most of the confusion.

I uh.... I think that's what they mean. The circle that spreads out from the Medic and the people they're healing?

I hope Valve releases a statement about whether they'll consider the frontline theme for a future update. All the work into the maps and theme being wasted without being told it wouldn't be used would suck.

I have never had that problem in my life. It's quite rare that I see people using amputator taunt :/

I have not yet concluded that if this is luck or if it's because I dabbed before unboxing

Yeah hopefully we get a what we're working in in 2018 blog post early next year and it includes a Frontline/war themed update. There's so much community content being worked on it would be stupid of them not to do an official update.

Well, I'm a dumbass. Didn't see the word "effect" in the original post.

These are being so massively unboxed that unusual taunts are becoming worthless.
Such a shame, used to be quite a prestige item to have back when they were rare. Now you can just buy unusual conga for 35 euros, back then the cheapest one was like 200 eur. I'm glad i didn't invest in buying a 100 key pool party years ago.

Reminds me of something.
Oh yea, I got it. They're just like normal unusuals.

Would be a funny joke if the taunts weren't as common as there are oldest unusuals you can unbox.
Unusual hats are 8 years old by now, and the most common unusual clocks at 50 same effect hats. Taunts tripled in numbers past 2 major updates.

The only normal unusuals that are super common to the point of ridiculousness are the hats released during the halloween update (most of which are not the prettiest) and the accompanying effects, namely the Starstorms. Otherwise hats are just as rare and uncommon as before.
Also, unusual taunts should be more common than unusual hats/weapons in the first place. They're seen very rarely if at all, and as bombastic as they can be, they're still going to be observed way less in common play than regular unusual hats or weapons.
How do the community-made weapon creators feel about this skin/paint thing?
Can someone explain to me why Energy Orb dropped off the face of the earth? Like it was here one day, and gone the next and valve hasn't made a mention on it. Did they simply forget that the effect existed or is it something else?

I dislike most of them besides the continues ones. Pool Party and Banjo are really cool.

I went to London's Comic Con last october and accidentally bumped into a Tf2 meetup (i had no idea there was one) so after a while of fooling around and joking about hats we crashed the OW photo session in the only honorable way we could: a conga line.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/njlYDG0.jpg[/t]
but yeah, interest in TF2 cosplay has dwindled over the years for obvious reasons. Mainly because tf2 is far from the spotlight it used to have back in the day. nowdays is all about wearing spandex suits and carbon fiber butts.
I did it.
