If your game keeps crashing when you try to exit it, put it in a borderless window. My game crashes every single time I exit but I just hit the windows button and there's not a single problem. Or well, TF2 is still crashing but whatever.
at this point, i only close tf2 by alt-tabbing out and ending it with the task manager :v:
Maybe I need to do it that way too because my game is constantly crashing on closing as well. I've always done borderless windows on top of things.
So, it's already been an entire month since jungle inferno went live. Time sure has flown by
the count of invisible spies I've headshotten on mercenary park's last choke is now at 5, 2 of them were on the same match, on the same guy

wtf is with equip regions for the new items [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/f/fe/Backpack_Rifleman%27s_Regalia.png[/t] this has a vest region instead of shirt, even though it replaces the sniper's entire shirt [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/e/e1/Backpack_Sharp_Chest_Pain.png[/t] this item removes and takes the place of the soldier's grenades, so you'd think it has a grenade equip region, right? wrong, its equip region is COAT. the sniper region i guess i could understand but the soldier knife is just dumb
I feel like Scout sounds different nowadays, his voice acting seems to have changed a bit. New voice line: https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/b/bb/Cm_scout_pregamefirst_04.mp3?t=20160710215715 Old voice line: https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/0/0f/Scout_battlecry05.wav?t=20100625222124 The old voice line has some punch and clarity to it, the new one sounds like he's slurring his words a little and is a bit muffled. Could be due to the voice actor aging, the mic being different. I don't know.
Nathan turned 35 today, if I'm not mistaken. That means two things. #1 he's now old enough to to run for president. #2 his voice has probably changed a bit since 2007.
Sounds more like the recording equipment has changed since then.
Hasn't Valve even admitted they lost/forgot the filtering they used for the original voicelines? I remember this being one of the reasons Heavy and Pyro's lines sound completely different from their original iterations.
Gotta love walking up to a stationary engineer, holding my flamethrower on him for 3 seconds, and a medic comes up from behind me and crits me, and the Engineer doesn't even die.
Sounds... the same?
The only difference I can pick out is either he's farther away from the microphone in the second or it's a lower quality microphone. Otherwise, yeah, he sounds exactly the same, not the two best choices for voicelines that show how different somebody sounds.
Finally got the all the bonuses. Definitely will not bother again if they decide to fill majority of contracts with defense and other silly stuff
Nate gets promoted to working on the TF Team and he has to take care of the Potted Plant.
This gives me an idea for a hat. It's a team colored flower-pot, that is worn upside down on Spy's head.
Maybe soldier instead of spy?
I don't think that would work. It's because [sp]it's a pun on a plant (a spy inserted into a group), and a potted plant (a plant in flower pot)[/sp]
It really has been a month, huh? Well that shouldve been enough time to now calmly talk about things that no one seems to have discussed deeply: - How are the new Mantreads? Are they still a bad weapon or did the buff given to it make it into a viable alternative to the Gunboats/Shotgun/etc.? - Vita-Saw. Trash now, or a helpful niche? - How about the YER? I tried it out myself and had some fun with it, but is it viable to use? - New Sandman. Belongs in the bin or entirely new aspect? - New Wrap Assassin. The Sandman "buffs" made the Wrap Assassin do more damage and recharge way quicker, personally it has become my go-to Scout melee. - Atomizer? I havent given it a go personally. - Darwin's Danger shield? Only experience I made with it is that it REALLY shuts pyros down. Especially Dragon's fury ones.

The Vita-Saw is pretty alright when you got a few hits in and die with a lot of uber. The Atomizer is still good imo and the DDG is better than it was before. I've been using it again after they changed it in the update.
Glad about the sandman change, makes you want to use other melees. It's still a decent melee because being slown down is annoying.
The metagame seems to be pocket pistol and atomizer, and for good reason. Both are essentially upgrades over stock, and give the scout terrifying power that he really didn't need any more of.
The metagame seems to be pocket pistol and atomizer, and for good reason. Both are essentially upgrades over stock, and give the scout terrifying power that he really didn't need any more of.
Pocket Pistol I understand but... Atomizer?
A question someone posted on the subreddit, and I can't find a proper answer - is the prerelease branch/version of the game just a dead leftover from the TF2 Beta, or is it actually used by server owners and modders/mappers to try out upcoming update changes before they go live, so their servers/work doesn't crash?
Pocket Pistol I understand but... Atomizer?
The way the changes were implemented made no difference in the atomizer's viability You can do the third jump the moment you start pulling out the atomizer, you don't need it fully deployed, while it does somewhat prevent you from flying on top of someone's head while killing him, I never used it like that but instead as a mobility/dodging utility, and on that front it got buffed
So many times Valve has goofed when trying to give melee weapons a downside-upon-drawing that's supposed to limit situations where you pull out the thing for a useful bonus, or when it's supposed to be hindered by a longer deploy time. Always some exploit or trick that can be used to bypass it, or they just implement it in a way that's hardly a limitation. Atomizer's third jump should really be hard-limited to an extra mobility tool that takes preparation or care and should not be used anywhere near combat situations. Make it so you have to have the thing fully deployed for a second or two, or make Scout take extra damage when he has it out. Considering it's a pretty strong perk on a melee that replaces a useless stock option for a class that could easily get by w/o even having a melee weapon, they really should impose harsher and more play-tested limitations on when it can be used and when it's safe to use. I fully supported the Equalizer nerfs/Escape Plan changes, as a powerful and extremely versatile Soldier class really didn't need a replacement for a useless Shovel that gave him so many escape and tactical redeployment options w/o needing to rocket jump. Disciplinary Action's a bit too good for what it does as well, especially since the boost really seems to last longer than it used to.
I love the new vita saw
