Shit, I was thought there'd be new advanced options Ah well, nothing wrong with a bugfix update I guess
There's a few new ones pertaining to replays.
I don't think the Witcher 2 promos became tradable like they should yet. No one have spammed TF2TP yet, asking Max's Head for them, at least.
I believe it has something to do with the backpack API.
Before I saw "schema" I thought attribute_controlled_attached_particles would be something to turn unusual effects on and off. A cosmetics on/off menu would be nice.
Added "per_class_loadout_slots" and "attribute_controlled_attached_particles" sections to the GetSchema WebAPI call
:buddy:
This update has pretty much broken the randomizer mod server. Is anyone else having a problem maintaining a connection to servers?
Should I turn on hit sounds, is this a good idea or not.
Hit sounds are useful for being able to tell whether your victim is still burning after alighting them on fire.
oh god left handed viewmodels are so bad
Should I turn on hit sounds, is this a good idea or not.
I have it on. I find it useful since it indicates whether I missed brutally, or i got them. Really useful if you like to spam grenades, since you hear a slight 'ding' when you can't see them
Should I turn on hit sounds, is this a good idea or not.
Yes. I also reccomend you turning on the "display damage done" option (so you can see how many hit points your attacks do) It's useful if for example you're doing long range attacks and want to make plans like "Should I keep shooting since I'm doing decent damage from here or go away and search for another target?" or "This enemy is less/more weakened, what weapon should I choose to finish him off?"
Should I turn on hit sounds, is this a good idea or not.
Theres the advantage of what mixshifter just said and a couple of other things, and the enjoyment of hearing the wonderful sound of hitting enemies feels pretty cool. The only downside to it is that is you cant hear crit sounds.

Where do the screenshots for replays go?

It's really great that I got to download 120MB in order to not click 2 extra times to get to Advanced Options.
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1088060-TF2-Screenshots-Thread-Replays-Edition
That's not the right thread. The right thread is every thread.
Valve Fixing things that aren't broken for your gaming experience.
and leaving things that are broken in that state for over one month
Bug fixes. Neat.
Should I turn on hit sounds, is this a good idea or not.
neither hit sounds nor damage text indicators imo
Bug fixes were added, but they added something else that wasn't bug fixes. FUCK YOU VALVE ASLDCMWICVWEFJ [editline]19th May 2011[/editline] Just cause they added something that wasn't bug fixes doesn't mean that if they didn't do that they would have added bug fixes. We're just getting more, if anything. Stop complaining guiz
This update is good and all, but I was really hoping it would've made The Witcher 2 promo items craftable and droppable so I won't have to save up until I have a buds so I can trade for them. Oh well.

I meant the advanced options thing. It looks cooler and is easier to access now. Which is a good thing. It may not be bug fixes, but how can you go wrong. If it wasn't added, we'd just get less content, wouldn't we.
Can't people just get to it in the options menu? Or is it something completely new?
It was just the Multiplayer options > advanced, now they even added a seperate button for it. Lol. [editline]19th May 2011[/editline] Oh look localization files, what a surprise.
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1088060-TF2-Screenshots-Thread-Replays-Edition
I mean, where do the replay screenshots go? Someone on SPUF said they go in Rendered, but I have a feeling thats not right. The way its talking about, the thing automatically makes screens and stores them in a top secret location on your PC. I haven't found em yet.
FUnny, I can hear crit sounds when I have hitsounds on
I guess he was referring to the critical hit, not the shot itself.
