Don't know anything about VNNs, discord, but it was one of the guys who did early work for it on Mac's stream that brought up that, if they released an early version, and with how incompetent they are, then the files may very likely have been left in.

I enjoyed the stream. It was nice that people liked my riffs of the game in the chat.
I'm disappointed.
I think the plot, if done right, and all original assets, it could have had potential as a free mod.
At least we got toe jokes out of it.

Cheesy storyline (I'm HECU still! Freeman hurt me! I WILL KILL HIM!)
Paid for source license with no work to show for it.
Blacklists players they don't like from playing it.
Bans people from the discord 4noraisins.
Charges $25.

He's got balls. The Epistle 3 wound is still fairly fresh for a lot of us, how could he possibly think that he would be able to take a third grader's fanfic and a bunch of ripped assets and CHARGE PEOPLE MONEY FOR IT? I grew up in a time where people would make things out of passion and throw stuff like this together for the love of it. Sure, it might still be cringeworthy, but it wouldn't provoke the same kind of backlash.

Did the mappers, or anyone in the team actually decide to playtest any of the maps they stole to see if it actually worked, I've not mapped in over 10 years and I'd still be able to make a decent-ish map and have it work properly lol
According to some people, no one had a final version of the maps except Frank Denizyaran (the main guy), also there was no communication with most of the other team members as he preferred to have everyone contact him and he'd relay it to other people
