Why is Hideo Kojima in special thanks? What's with the Kojima photo?
He met Kojima (and other game developers) at The Game Awards with VIP access and took bunch of photos with them.
I thought I might ask this as well since I'm genuinely curious, but while I'm glad to see someone on the dev team take the initiative to actually talk to us in spite of the massive shitstorm brewing regarding this game(mad respect for that btw), how come none of the other devs/mods are willing to say anything and are just keeping quiet? Is it because Frank made them sign a NDA or something, or are they this overwhelmed by the backlash?
A few are brainwashed, some are scared of having their contract terminated because of speaking out against Berkan, but most (if not all) want to stay neutral and quiet. I, on the other hand, want this to never happen again so that's why I'm talking.
Besides, I'm not going to get paid, nor will all other devs that worked on this project.

I wanted to ask him who's money he used, but then again I think we all know the answer to that question...

Friend of mine worked on some sounds for it, got paid for it, had no idea what kind of a mod it would actually be, got a key from Frank, ended up creating a stream where he roasted the shit out of the mod and laughed over how bad it was.

HDTF now has 20% positive reviews. Why is it increasing?
I feel like this is allowed by Valve so when someone says "just let another company develop HL3 if you're never going to do it" they can point to this as why they'll never do that.

They patched the cutscenes back in :v:

People complain about steam and it's shitty games that get put on it yet loads of people play a shitty game like this and rate it good because of how terrible it is and how funny the development is, then cry when terrible games are released on steam lol

OR... let's be sensible
He's using money to buy good reviews.

I guess it's pretty good going by this.

I think it's not only fun reviews or fakes, there are people enjoying Shadow the Hedgehog or the Campaign of Call of Duty MW3 and I do think that Hunt the Freeman actually has a target audience.
They have somewhere around 700 and 2000 people who own this game (this includes people who got free keys) it's really a drop of water on a hot stone in the end and I think not much will happen in terms of sales anymore.
there are only ten (10) total good reviews of this game on Steam. and 185 bad ones.
I guess having Gnomestar and IHE as VA's doesn't help the situation lol

You must have a filter activated because for me it says 39
Honestly, shame on Valve for even letting this get so far. Their hands off approach to their platform allowed this monstrosity to exist.

Lol why would they care, they're still getting money at the end of the day
Well good(?) news most of the bugs & mapping issues have been reported on their discord. I ended up stopping last night since it was 4am and I had only just entered City 17. I'll probably start a new game so I might experience the cut scenes, and hope they not only explain things, but send you on the right way.

But what if it hurts Steam's image? I.E. they let people get away with $25 stolen content clusterfucks?
This is the finest texture in the game:
(full res)
This 4k Overwatch Soldier texture has an alpha map (which is unused) and is saved in lossless RGBA8888 format, creating a texture size of 85 MB. There's also the model's normal map with alpha map also saved in lossless RGBA format and, seemingly by mistake, a duplicate of this normal map. Combined together, this means the Overwatch Soldier's three textures take up 256 MB.
Good god, in all the years of seeing bad texture usage but this takes the cake. Also doesn't even seem they did anything to it other than upscaling; heck didn't even FakeFactory at least attempted to add some detail even if it was just bad pattern overlays + sharpen filters?

Can steams/Valves image really get any more damaged from the shit released in the past lol, the only reason this shit is allowed is because valve don't check anything until it's been highlighted enough by people for it to be a problem
Edit: I'm not saying they won't remove it eventually but they'll leave it till an uproar

It very well could. By far this is the WORST modding disaster I've ever seen hit the steam store for $$$.
Uploading the stream has been... Taking awhile. However, I'd like to take this moment to state that I'm going to stream this game again, this time with the cutscenes attached and in the proper order between maps.
Hopefully I'll be able to understand whatever story this game has better the next time around.

My plan the entire time was to play for exactly 100 minutes, so I could experience the shitstorm and then get my money back.
To the anon dev in this forum or anyone involved in the stream last night, can I get in contact with those devs that appeared on the stream? I'm currently asking questions to Mick "Rice Pirate" on discord who voiced the main character, I thought it would be kind of fun to write about the weird rollout and development of this game. Like make a VNN styled video about it.
i'm downloading the original depot of the game atm because well disasters are always fun to watch. i mean I don't see what someone was talking about when they said it had leaked shit in it. I'd only assume the exe, and bin folders would be the first ones downloaded, but there's nothing leaked imo in them.

They play it forwards from one perspective, play it again in reverse, and then in another perspective
How does this have a following

"Where!?"
*laughs and points*
Imagine giving so little of a shit about your own IP that you let someone do this and SELL IT

I mean conceptually the idea of letting fans make their own installments is kind of cool.
Just, in practice, hmm.
