type in 'map a0c0p0' in the console if you want to experience an unfinished ripoff of the opposing force tutorial

There's a tutorial? I just spent the entire game guessing controls and hoping for the best
There's a tutorial? I just spent the entire game guessing controls and hoping for the best
the tutorial doesn't explain the controls, it's just a single map with stuff like swimming and then having to use the prone stuff and the parkour but it doesn't explain how to do any of that

i'll try to get a video
Robman's stream encountered a bug where saves are fucked up. You have to save twice for it to show up in load game. Maybe crashing means the save isn't kept?
it's kinda amazing that source (engine made in 2004) can handle such dense models and not explode the user's computer.
i'm pretty sure if you try to import 2 million polygons into unity or unreal 4 they would jut crush.
As a matter of fact, they handle 2m models trivially. There will be long import times by default, since they have to build some additional data to speed some things up. Disabling those extra features makes models of 10m and higher import just fine and relatively quick. And they are significantly more efficient at rendering those 10m models (by virtue of being made later and using newer approaches).

This game is great.
here's the video of the tutorial map

additional points:
-no one's mouth moves when everybody says 'yes sir'
-i had to holster away the nothing i've been holding before i could parkour

Anyone know how the hell you get rid of the nightvision goggles? Robman is stuck with them on his stream.

-Dying in a concentration camp is more fun then playing this game
-The main character is a stillborn b-a-s-ta-r-d child of the texture of SpongeBob SquarePants d-i-c-k and a literal potato. Whoever thought that skin and textured Concrete are the same should go to the hospital and ask for their missing chromosomes back
-The rubber playmat of a city you had when you were a toddler has more coherent level design then this entire game
-Postal 3 is a better game then this. Because at least in postal 3 is a playable game. At least postal 3 has direction. At least postal 3 is fun to play.
-The maps in this game that aren't directly stolen from other, more compotent games are more akin to skybox simulators, seeing as you walk around a giant map with nothing on it looking at textures so blown up on the level geometry that even Mario Paint could give you a higher definition.
-Friendly tip: you need to bind "holster weapon" to a key for the parkour feature to work. Even then the parkour feature doesn't work.
-Sound design? I wish there was some.
-You'd think after literally 2 hours of non-descript endless hoard levels where the only goal is to reach the next load zone you'd be rewarded with some gameplay. You'd think.
-With how bad the load times and framerate are on some levels you'd swear Nixon came back from the dead to Watergate my ♥♥♥♥ing CPU
To say anyone. AND I MEAN ANYONE playtested this game would be like saying frank __ took his two remaining braincells and clacked them together to form a coherent sensible thought during the entire development of this P̶a̶i̶d̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶o̶d̶ game. Sadly neither is true.
This game is load zone scavenger HUNT. Hunt for the freeman? More like hunt for the load zone.
At one point in the game you find a skeleton. The skeleton was more fun then the entire 4 hours of game leading up to it.
Enable or disable the cross hair. Just like the fun in this game, it doesn't matter BECAUSE YOU CAN'T ♥♥♥♥ING FIND IT.
Your local schools special Ed program can spit out a 2nd grader with aspergurs that can write a more coherent story then this
This game is on par with Superman 64
Dreamcast games have better lip-syncing
I've never seen a producer suck so much♥♥♥♥♥♥that he lost IQ points from oxygen deprivation. Looking at you frank.
Node graph out of date. Rebuilding.
If the game didn't crash more then Windows XP with Bonzi Buddy installed then I might have enjoyed it.
List of cheats needed to finish this burning garbage heap
Sv_cheats 1
God
Noclip (we bound this to = because we used it so often)
Mat_fullbright 1
Impulse 203
Impulse 83
Impulse 101
Notarget
Kill
Giveallammo
Showtriggers_toggle
The game becomes more fun when you close it and do literally anything else. Don't waste your money or your time playing. And go tell Frank that eating glue is bad for your health.

I wouldn't describe Source as handling it well. There's an error message related to vertex indices that can appear and if the player is in full screen when it happens it'll lock up their computer.
Despite all the bullshit surrounding this turd sandwich, there's something I have to really appreciate about it all.
Somehow, this fucknut of a developer was able to coax together a team, put together around 2 hours of fuckall content, and get it onto the Steam market. Regardless of how you might feel about the product, you must admit there's something intrinsically impressive about that. If Frank, a guy with terrible morals, no gamedev experience, and half a brain, can pull off a feat like this, then there's absolutely no reason I, with more-or-less has a fully functioning brain and a set of less shitty morals, can't pull off something of such scale and infinitely better.
I feel inspired. I truly do.
I'm going to go make something.

2 hours? this thing is like 5 hours long. even with VNN noclipping through the padding it still took about that long
This game has more filler than MGSV's second chapter.
go here, fight waves of enemies, now go foward, fight waves of enemies, OH LOOK CUTSCENE.

Ohh boy, that's some very stilted and robotic VA. Is it even possible for people to program in holding nothing instead of having to holster your empty hands??? It seems Source doesn't allow equipping "NULL".

I am going to take a wild guess and say that holstering would actually techincally bring out (and/or give if you don't already have it) a "weapon" that allows you to do all of this weird shit

That's still kinda stupid, considering that even Postal 2 has a "weapon" that's literally just being empty-handed. (Thus the parkour mode should have a check ensuring the player is either equipped with nothing OR the fake "empty-handed" weapon)
I don't know how Running With Scissors programmed it, but certainly they'd ensure literally being armed with nothing would have that empty palm be the default.
Not even past the first chapter or second chapter on Rob's stream, and 14 crashes so far.

If even one person makes something of decent quality as a response to this debacle, then maybe it'll have been worth it.
No, actually, it'll still have been a massive waste of everyone's time and money. But still.
Actually, the one thing I'm stunned by was that this shitfest didn't fall apart like almost every other mod project made by idiots. I guess money really does move mountains.
IHE's voice acting is actually the best part of this "game"

That isn't exactly hard though is it, let's be honest
Rob's losing his mind over a crowbar atm. Poor guy.

These things have come up a few times in FP's history, and they all universally fall apart due to people being lazy bastards and getting bored (yours truly as a prime example).
It'd work, I guess, but you'd need someone willing to constantly scream at people to get things done. Unless, like I said, you get money involved - but most people aren't going to drop money on dumb projects like this unless they're mad or stupid.

What an average player feels like when they finally reach the credits.
Your mind just shuts off within a few minutes, and by the end, you lose all personality.
I'm hoping this game gets removed from the steam store and refunds given retroactively, similar to how they gave refunds for people who bought No Man's Sky.

We all know that would end up like the Games Repainted series.
