Someone remade the train section from this trainwreck as a mini Opposing Force mod and unsuprsingly it's infinitely more compident then any part of hunt down the refund

Just saw the cutscene compilation. I'm quite surprised that the only problem I had with the story was Mitchell [sp]opting to kill Adam instead of interrogate him for information.[/sp] I kind of glanced at the buzz surrounding this game now and then, and was under the impression that [sp]Mitchell was holding a grudge for 20 years[/sp] But the scene where [sp]the G-Man appears to collect on saving Mitchell's life, and Mitchell saying he didn't care about revenge anymore[/sp] was very effective. Main theme was nothing to sneeze at, either.

Fuck me, now I remember. When I was playing the game, there was one thing that bothered me and was stuck on my mind until I ended up finding much more terrible crap:
When you're on those sewers, you get shelled with headcrab cannisters like hell. Like 14 of those damn things at once. Here's the thing, the 7 hour war JUST STARTED. Did they ALREADY bring their whole technology into the planet to shell the whole planet!? It didn't make any sense at the time, and now that I remember it, I HAVE to bring it up.

Seriously? Like. I can't even say that "Oh the game was at least creative" because like, one, it doesn't make sense for them to have AR2s when they're like, twice the size of a human. Seriously? You can shove in as many generic weapons as possible (Without thinking of their Niche's at all) and you still have a boring weaponset.
Using bipedal combine enemies at all was unimaginative when most of the synths we've seen are completely alien and I think that soldier thing was just the first model they could get their hands on that didn't require custom animations.

Instead they're just wearing a generic bulletproof vest with "H.E.C.U." labeled on the front for idiots, don't even resemble the original Marines either.
