You used to be able to use this feature to easily spy check people. All you had to do was press F over a teammate and if none of their items showed up then they were a spy. This worked for a long time but it's fixed now.

you can still spycheck spies who are disguised as spies by taking out your melee weapon, aiming at the spy and doing the battle cry voice command, if your character says one of the melee dare lines, it's not an enemy spy, but if your character says one of the battle cry lines, it's an enemy spy or you didn't aim at the spy
