This reminds me of the time when I was on fire and I was about to pick up a health pack when a friendly pyro standing next to it picked it up and shot fire at me, as to indicate that he knows what he's doing and he's not airblasting me on purpose. Then I burned to death. What an asshole!
The robot pyros in MvM. You can be nose to nose with them and they still have the perfect timing to airblast your rockets.
As somebody who plays MVM with Hell-Met, do not be anywhere near a pyrobot if he's a projectile class. he will use them to get you killed, and he'll enjoy every minute of it :v:

And still win, so I ain't gonna complain.
The robot pyros in MvM. You can be nose to nose with them and they still have the perfect timing to airblast your rockets.
You're approaching this the wrong way. Nothing is "timed", they just do it. They WILL reflect whenever it is theorically possible, even if it's a move completely out of this world. You have to plan around the fact that rockets and arrows will be 100% reflected and are a serious threat. You don't expect a sentrygun to miss a shot, do you? There are however quite a handful of conditions to help prevent accidents. 1. Easy skill pyros will never reflect. Easy pyros can be identified by blue eyes and a very idiotic way to look around without ever directly staring at an enemy. You can see their sluggish response time. Valve uses easy pyros surprisingly alot, and you will quickly memorize the ones that aren't. After a couple dozens hours you will "feel" easy AI. Giants are always high skilled. 2. Always-fire pyros will never reflect regardless of skill or size. Those are the ones that continiously shoot fire even from their spawn. They are physically incapable of triggering an airblast because primary fire takes the priority. Always-fire giants are used surprisingly alot. 3. They only reflect back if they are locked on an opponent (line of sight). This means if you shoot a rocket then quickly hide, it won't reflect. This assumes nobody else on your team is stared at. 4. Use splash damage. This means shooting the floor at a distance far enough to bypass AB but not too far to do zero damage. People do this in regular TF2. 5. Shoot from outside the airblast cone. Use blind spots. This means the sides and the back. Obviously this is not possible if the pyro looks at you. Somebody else must take their focus. 6. Reflects are never lead. They will still aim directly at people. If a reflect does happen, keep strafing and you shouldn't get hit. 7. Buy crit resis. It's a cheap life saver even just for the sole purpose of reflects. Flares will also always be reflected but it's trivial. Sentry rockets and cowmangler count as rockets. All bolts count as arrows. Everything else is either unrecognized (baseballs) or reflected too late to have an effect (cleaver, jars, pipes). All of this info also applies to the TFBOT.
A top player on the opposing team initiated a vote scramble when my team was about to cap the final Egypt point. We were so close to capping it, but the vote scramble happened. When I called out the player who initiated the vote, he denied it, saying "why would I do it when I'm one of the top 3." Another player also called him out on it too. No one said anything after that lol Why do the losing team always initiate a vote scramble right before the round is over? At least have the courtesy to initiate it after the round is over, otherwise it would be a Ragescramble. :why:
lol why deny a vote scramble? It tells you who initiated the vote.
Way too common nowadays. Dominated an unusual-wearing spy while playing sniper one time. "LOL Rage sniper". I don't get how precise aiming = rage. How dare I counter you while I play a class I feel like playing for fun! I swear, this community. Anything for an "insult" nowadays, even if they get a kill on you after you kill them 11 times.
If you play a class and play it remotely well, you're being a tryhard or you're a rage-(class). I got called a Rage-Medic a week or two ago for killing a Degreaser + Reserve Shooter + Powerjack Pyro - who was spamming binds and being generally obnoxious - on a Valve Doublecross server repeatedly with my melee. He kept insulting me because I was a Rage-Medic and I eventually dominated him when I shot a crossbow bolt at him as he tried to airblast + reserve me off the cliff. I strafed to safety and told him to go away with his minicrits. He respawned and told me to "go away with that shit unusual." He couldn't find a way to insult my ability so he tried to find a way to insult my unusual - which sells for around twice what his recently sold for.
my favorite is when spies complain that you equipped the razorback after they demolished you and the rest of your team. countering =/= rage

I main medic and I do get pissed off at good players on the opposite team sometimes, but this only happens when everyone on my team is just bad enough that they can't counter him, and I just have to watch us inevitably fail. Pubstomping is not cool. :'(
lol why deny a vote scramble? It tells you who initiated the vote.
Implying people pay attention to that?
my favorite is when spies complain that you equipped the razorback after they demolished you and the rest of your team. countering =/= rage
you act as if being able to counter a class thats supposed to demolish you passively is fair and balanced in someway. why dont we just give scout a backpack that makes sentry guns unable to target him.
you act as if being able to counter a class thats supposed to demolish you passively is fair and balanced in someway. why dont we just give scout a backpack that makes sentry guns unable to target him.
It literally blocks one backstab before you have to go back to the resupply cabinet, it's not like it's even remotely OP.
you act as if being able to counter a class thats supposed to demolish you passively is fair and balanced in someway. why dont we just give scout a backpack that makes sentry guns unable to target him.
step 1. wait until teammates aren't around the sniper step 2. 3 quick shots, two with ambassador or enforcer step 3. make the sniper realize his wooden shield isn't doing jack shit if he isn't with his team
step 1. wait until teammates aren't around the sniper step 2. 3 quick shots, two with ambassador or enforcer step 3. make the sniper realize his wooden shield isn't doing jack shit if he isn't with his team
So we assume the sniper or his team is crap than?
my favorite is when spies complain that you equipped the razorback after they demolished you and the rest of your team. countering =/= rage
Or maybe he just laughed at you for using razorback since it proved utterly useless as always?
The fact that some cosmetics conflict with weapon equip regions.
The fact that some cosmetics conflict with weapon equip regions.
It's understandable if a weapon that changes the legs, eg Bootlegger. But Medic being unable to use a select number of his mediguns with backpack cosmetics...
-blast radius comic- It'd probably help if I actually launched the rockets instead of throwing them and making dumb noises, but idk
This happens almost every time I play scout and soldier. I shoot the ground and it only hits some times. Meanwhile, I feel like when I try to double jump their rockets they have the blast radius of 5 heavies lined up and stacked on top of each other. Probably just me being horrible though.
It's understandable if a weapon that changes the legs, eg Bootlegger. But Medic being unable to use a select number of his mediguns with backpack cosmetics...
Actually, Valve made it possible to equip Medic's backpack with all of his mediguns some time ago.
truth bomb
It was never a serious or very balanced mode, but Medieval would be so much more fun and diverse even as a silly passtime if Demoknights were limited to the loadout choices they had back when the mode was released in 2010. Eyelander, Targe, maybe Claymore, that's it. Every additional sword and shield or buff to those has made the subclass more ridiculous in Medieval, to the point where it's just aggravating to play against and forces whole servers to play Demo. I wish the Booties/Bootlegger, Tide Turner and Zatoichi in particular were blacklisted. Really arbitrary, but hey, the Jarate isn't allowed either (likely due to being quite OP in a melee-only mode, and the Sniper's alread the nr. 2 class in the gamemode) and stuff like the Caber and Gunslinger is allowed, even though it doesn't fit thematically.

It has it's penalty for regular demo, but from demoknighting standpoint boots are almost the only option. There should be reason not to wear them. Like additional melee damage taken etc.

You already lose a weapon that can deal around 200 damage per second. Demoknights can be easily shut down. What worked for me on a pub as a demoknight did not work for me when I tried playing on serious servers.
Any time my team wins once, and only once mind you, and the opposite members initiate a successful vote-scramble. I'd understand if we had beaten the team quite a few times (then we're just stomping them), but for one win? Another thing: Do you know that time when you get chewed out--or worse, kicked--for offering some helpful advice? Gets straight up your ass, you know.
The opposite end of this is when a team keeps getting rolled with a huge score difference and all scramble votes fail. Bonus points if members of the rolling team say "why should we scramble, we're winning".
Take out 3 Level 3 sentries as a brass beast heavy, and die to a crit sticky. Autobalanced in the middle of my former team capping the final point.
Enemy team just barrels over my team, nobody starts a vote scramble. Next round we just barely manage to win, the round is balanced just fine, "pubstomper #1 wants to scamble the teams!". Seriously, fuck anyone that does this.
-medieval fun-
Please add Spies in it. There was a team with 2 spies, but because it's Medieval mode, spies can mostly get away by standing on high ground and just shoulder stab people. It's as irritating as zatoichi demos.
