Apparently you lose progress to your next rank in Matchmaking when you lose a match. Why? Why are you punishing players more by being steamrolled by professional teams?

I don't understand the mindset. the taunting doesnt even annoy me, it's how they try and justify it when I ask them why they even are. especially when they do it after you pull some tricky kill on them beforehand. like dude you got outplayed, aight?

As far as I can tell losing/gaining progress is based entirely off whether you win or lose, not how well you individually did - CS:GO's system allows you to rank up/down independently of if your team wins or loses, which I personally would prefer a lot more.

So, I tried matchmaking. What makes it shit is not the players, but their attitude. Neither enemy nor my team were not being arseholes in all three matches I played. I got screamed at by shitty soldier main for being shit medic, although majority of the team were scouts and snipers and I actually saved his ass multiple times. Also I accidently tauntkilled lime tossle scout after which he was haunting me and taunted every time he killed me, even if there were my teammates nearby. I've never seen [b]this[/b] much shit. I've seen people make lenny faces in comp. Is there no way to escape this evil? It was still fun though, except when we fought against a team with a degreaser pyro + quickfix medic and a gunslinger engie. It was annoying as hell but we still won.
