Lenny faces/ Almost every bind known to man- Joined a upward server, worst mistake ever. The entire chat was constantly being spammed with Lenny faces by all most all of our team and theirs. If you tried to communicate with your team it would be swallowed Immediately by binds (Including a fake LMAO. Sometimes I just wish valve gave us an option to disable binds on a server or make an advanced option so it filters out binds so you can't see them (Something like that).
wouldn't mind chat binds being flat out removed, the tf2 community clearly is not capable of handling them.

Valve will restrict your market and trading privileges with huge sweeping Steam Guard roadblocks to make trading a hassle, but won't take five fucking seconds to restrict certain characters and scripts from being used that make TF2 a hassle.
I don't get it... Why does pyro say 'go right' while doing the hadouken taunt? Did they run out of ideas for mumbles? Press go right then do the hadouken taunt and compare them.

Because you can't tell what he's saying anyways, they reuse the mumbles all the time.

Account security is a completely separate issue from being annoyed in a video game

That's what they want you to think.
But seriously, security is important, they've put a lot of effort into steam guard and such. but think about how much effort it would take in comparison to restrict certain characters and chat binds.
Valve must have played tf2 recently and seen the cancerous amounts of bind spams being shat out by toxic players.

FYI if you mute someone it also stops you from seeing what they type.
I wanted to grab myself a FN High Roller Rocket Launcher for a while, I decided to check the prices.
Why the fuck would I pay 2 keys for a skin that I cannot even strangify and hardly use because of that? I just want my shiny skins without paying having to pay AT LEAST 2 keys for them.

Pretty sure you can strangify the High Roller RL, there's even strange ones on the market.

Not without trading up 10 Factory New Civilian Grade Stranges from the same collection, even then it's not a guarantee you will get what you wanted.

Everyone keeps saying this but I tried it on a squeaker, I could still see his text.

I would rather cure the cancer rather than ignore it.
I've played very little in the last month or so, but I still see posts and complaints about out-of-bounds exploits related to the quantum crouch trick - on Frontier, Mountain Lab, Dustbowl, etc.
It's been, what, four months? Five? Since the beloved YT channels that supposedly do God's work ''by making these exploits publicly known so Valve fixes them faster'' popularized the obscure quantum thingy and provided instructions on how to do it to every bored 14-year old out there.
They fixed the issues on Borneo, but they haven't touched any of the other maps as far as I know; there's still people doing those exploits and finding new spots on official maps, and they just refuse to fix the root of the problem or don't find the time to do the long workaround method by fixing maps individually.
I'm very cynical, I realize, but things seem to have turned out exactly as I predicted - we now have a widely known and abused game-wide exploit stemming from an engine quirk that's been unknown by the great majority of TF2 griefers for many years, suddenly being popularized by certain YT channels, and the TF2 Team not really doing much about it in 4+ months.
The fact they fixed that by adjusting the Borneo map makes me think they can't fix it easily.
Have you seen the chat on TeamFortressTV streams on Twitch?
Like a bunch of chimps.

TFTV'2 is like x100 of individual streamers though

I'm sure if you look at any popularised competitive channel, you will always find the same.
Never expect anything different.

Perhaps.
Clockwork's chat used to be okay but has become much worse since Valve added twitch streams to the homepage.
Honestly any more it seems like twitch chats being toxic is just a widely accepted joke so people go out of their way to make it as toxic as they can.
Probably, but it's very cringeworthy.

If it's near the end of the round and time is about to run out I don't see a problem.

Fuck the Vaccinator.
suffice to say crit damage is what kept it balanced in the end.
it's interesting when you realize valve's first version of their guns is actually always the most balanced / interesting and that it's the player feedback that eventually ruins everything. The only exception I can think of is v1 tomislav and sodapopper. Those were just dumb.
Fuck the Vaccinator.
Why, it makes playing medic actually fun.

the original vaccinator was trash, the current one is fine if not slightly undertuned. Its easily countered by multiple damage types, and getting the medic by surprise. It has weaker pushing power due to the slower overheal and less potent ubercharge in exchange for excellent defensive power in the form of a medic who can react to enemy pushes or flanks. In addition the vaccinator has a significantly higher skill floor than the other mediguns, since you have to actively react to situations and damage types around you in order to be successful with it.
But this is solo fortress 2 where everyone throws the idea of coordinated pushes, and well times flanks out the window. So yes I guess to a player who tries to take on an enemy who is being pocketed himself rather than having his team help him out it might be furstrating, but then again that can be said for all the mediguns/
I think a pyro I was playing earlier was being healed by the vac with explosive damage.
It was pretty rage inducing, hitting him 6 times with rockets and not killing him whilst he w+m1d me.

You probably would have died to a quickfixed or ubered pyro as well;

why compare megaheal/uber with bubbles
bubbles are nearly always available. the others are not.
