2 things that pissed me off last night:
I got on a 24 person killstreak as a Heavy, was pretty happy about it. I jump onto this Soldier, aaand...
Some 150 ping Spy backstabs me, goes invisible and goes back to the corner he was on.
Second one being:
"omg medic why u no heal me"
Oh, yeah! I would gladly heal you, pubstomping Soldier! Do you mind getting rid of these dashing Demomen and Soldiers that are bombing me? Or how about you kill those fantastic Scouts and Pyros that destroy me in mili-seconds instead of running after a F2P Spy who just downloaded the game? Thanks!
For the first one, you got punished for not checking your back.
As for the second one, I can understand that.
For the first one, you got punished for not checking your back.

I can understand being punished, but the fact I was a Heavy makes it far worse.
As you can guess, I have to stay on the enemy longer because of the recent nerfs to Heavy's Miniguns. Which gives me less time to look back.
I can look behind me while shooting, I know. But that hardly comes to ya mind when you are not in some competitive place, where your death is seriously important to their push and stuff.
They also had no spies until that specific death and that Spy disconnected shortly after, so I was all "oh no it's fine no spies haha." and thought stressing about Spies at that time was unnecessary.
A.k.a Valve plz fix Heavy I am being punished because of your nerfs in pub plays.
Don't you love it when there's 3/4 of one class and when you try to ask them to switch to something else they use the excuse "Why don't you"?. Because our team literally had 3 pyros and i was the only Sniper, so i decide to ask if one of them could switch, only to get replied with "Why don't you?" and another person saying "stfu. it's a free game" :downs:.
Usually nobody responds when I try.
Then again, I usually phrase it slightly passive aggressively.
WHY THE FUCK DO WE HAVE 4 SPIES ON DEFENCE YOU SET OF *****!!!!
For example.

I think the most annoying aspect is that you hope somebody has the common sense to watch your back while you're doing the key part of the push. Never seems to be the case sadly.
Why are tough break cases still dropping, fuck
Why are tough break cases still dropping, fuck
They have tough times breaking up with them.
I get seemingly 1-2 Tough Break cases a week but still have not gotten a Mayflower case drop.
I hate when I have 6-7 items I can craft but none of them are for the same class.
That's why scrap banking is a thing, though.

Trading is a pain since it's 15 days for the authenticator BS

Get Steam Desktop Authenticator.
The authenticator itself can be a huge pain.
I don't have a smartphone, so I originally had to spend an entire month trying to find a workaround. No dice, absolutely nothing else worked - I had to get a device that was compatible with the app, or I simply couldn't do anything. The only potential solution I could see was using an emulator to run a virtual Android device from my PC, and even that seemed iffy.
In the end a friend of mine gave me their old busted Kindle that barely runs because they were gonna trash it, and I was able to put the authenticator on that. I literally don't use the thing for anything else - it sits in a drawer until I need to confirm a trade, because apparently Valve can't figure out a less obnoxious way to protect idiots who don't know how to avoid getting hacked and scammed.

Make it work on OSX and I'll give you a free hat.

If you have the means to buy a Mac I'm sure you can just buy a phone too.
[sp]or a real computer[/sp]
The next requierements for trading will be a retinal scan, a blood sample, and an alcohol test to check if you're not trading while drunk. :v:

I didn't buy it, though, it's a hand-me-down. And it's not just buying a phone, it's buying one of 2 very specific OS's, neither of which are covered by my phone plan at the moment without a ridiculous fee.

I hate arguments like this. They serve no purpose other than to make the other person feel bad.
I like to think of it as some sort of Soldier-esque thing, to be honest.
Like Soldier is all "PC master-race, maggots! Those Mac hippies need a REAL computer before I kick their asses!" while wearing Earbuds and The Tux.

Was in a match with 2 Spy mains and a Sniper main last night, all on the enemy team.
That Sniper managed to spawn-camp us for a minute straight too, it was such a scary and annoying experience. I couldn't live with the fear of turning a corner and getting quick scoped TWICE to death as a Heavy, so I disconnected...
Not before seeing that Sniper spamming lenny faces though, that was a great sight.
(Wew demo great english, writing "one of their" instead of "that".)

Have you tried using winebottler?
I hate arguments like this. They serve no purpose other than to make the other person feel bad.
Well, i don't know, even tought people know that Mac are non adapted for gaming (i think Mac has to emulate Windows to be able to play game), they still buy it, and he's not wrong in the fact that if you can buy a Mac, you can also buy a powerful computer. I saw a shitty Mac laptop sold for 2000 euro, and 2000 is more than enough to buy a good rig.

Wine is the most buggy and unreliable thing I think I've ever used on a computer in my life.

I wonder what part of "I didn't buy this computer with my own earnings" you fail to understand.
And no, I can play many games pretty well on this old 08 iMac without using Windows BootCamp.
Oh sorry, i didn't read your previous comment.
Then it's okay if you have your reasons tho, sorry again.
The whole "PC Master Race" thing is dumb because Windows is the best OS for literally only gaming, and is surpassed easily in every other field. Hell, it's not even that Windows is optimized for gaming; people just only make gaming stuff for Windows (I would be back on OS X or Debian if the Hammer editor and the ESEA client weren't Windows-only).
EDIT: PC Master Race in the context PC gaming vs. console gaming is still acceptable though

I think it's because Windows happened to be the cheapest on the market and just simply put, the most popular OS so every developer just naturally developed their games and optimized it for Windows.
I think it's because Windows happened to be the cheapest on the market
???
The only consistently commercial OS over the last 25 years is cheaper than the hundreds of free and open-source OSes (that far surpass Windows in usability and popularity in a programming/network administration context, as well as many other contexts)?
Oh yeah, i forgot about the fact Linux is totally free. Well i think it's only about luck and marketing mostly. Bill Gates is pretty charismatic.
Offer on an unusual on tf2outpost and get ignored. The guy says in the notes that he blocks all random adds, and that you should use trade offers instead. Well that's real nice and all, but your hat is on the fucking market.

Windows became a success because it was the right mix of affordable, accessible, and amply supported.
Linux may be free, but it's historically been not very accessible - you've needed to be pretty heavily computer literate to set it up and to maintain it and to get it to do what you want.
Meanwhile Windows introduced the entire concept of point and click. You didn't have to know shell commands, you didn't have to understand registry structures, you didn't have to tweak settings and fiddle with configurations... you could just "plug and play", and off you went.
As for Apple, they were competitively priced and reasonably accessible, but they always lacked good software support, often lagging well behind on adopting new programs, if they ever even adopted them at all. They've improved in recent years, but too little too late.
This is a weird one but i hate playing scout because i feel like i'm a complete asshole whenever i play him.
I blame those scout mains who are complete dicks. They have sunk into my brain.
To be fair, Scout as a character is kind of a complete asshole. Like, most of the rest of the Mercs give off a "crazy murderer" vibe, but Scout just gives off a total jackass vibe. It's a subtle distinction, but it's there I feel.

That's because as a class, he's meant to harass and be up in people's business.
In that same manner, sniper is emotionally distant, demo man is loud and boisterous, and spy is smooth and calm.
Their characters extend beyond their personality, but to how they play.
