sometimes I would use a mini on defense if we had another engineer, because having a disposable mini sentry allows me to focus on keeping the main sentry up and running
On the rare occasion I do use the Gunslinger on defense, this is pretty much what I do. Either I play it like a better Pybro, maintaining buildings when the main Engie isn't around and chasing away threats while providing covering fire with minis (and, since 9 times out of 10 the other Engie needs their dispenser near them, I'll usually leave my dispenser somewhere else where there's a lot of teammates), or I'll play more aggressively, roaming around where the other Engie can't, taking care of lone buildings, and providing metal with my dispenser. Not being tied to a nest makes it handy for keeping teleporters up, too.
It's a pretty interesting bit of synergy that I never see others use.
The fucking last point on Borneo.
It's a giant unassailable sentry deck with walls around it and a 5 foot distance from spawn.
Fuck Borneo's last point.

To be honest I've never had as many problems with this point as I've had with, say, Upward's last point.
At least you can use the pillars/wall as cover on Borneo and don't have to push the damn thing uphill while being rained down upon by sentries from literally every single plausible direction (and promptly blasted into a pit by a happy-go-lucky Pyro)
On the subject of Pyros, it may just be bad luck, but I seem to have a knack for being killed by them a lot recently, and always in one of two ways. Either I'm flare-critted at melee range or I'm airblasted and then shot out of the sky like a goddamn clay pigeon by the Reserve Shooter.
Not to mention the age old problem of playing Spy without the Spycicle and immediately being immolated to a pile of dust because a Pyro farted on the other side of the map.
I swear the hit detection for flamethrowers is a goddamn joke. When I try to use them I can spray flames in all directions and hit, at most, one person. But god forbid I fight against an enemy Pyro, whose flamethrower arc apparently encompasses most of the known universe.
Still not as bad as being cloaked and then killed by a stray explosion that wasn't even aimed at you.
So I'm playing on Powerhouse, I almost cap last (as medic) but I die. I alt+tab out for like 30 seconds to start the next podcast on Youtube and when I alt+tab back I'm already dead in spawn because the other team won.

Honestly the only times a pyro gets me mad is when the reserve shooter is put onto the little shit, but getting killed when cloaked is like.. disappointment. "oh." And getting a kill on a cloaked spy? I feel so bad.

I've only ever seen Sentries in "the" Sentry Spot on Upward, on the second floor near the crates.

gun mettle over, coins still showing up on scoreboard
gun mettle over, coins still showing up on scoreboard
That and the fact that Valve hasn't made the coins badges or something. I want all those hours spent making it Australium to be worth it.
gun mettle over, coins still showing up on scoreboard
Technically not, you have until 13th to complete left over contracts, kills still count etc.

Balconies on last cap. Every single balcony.
To be honest with enough engies most lasts become a huge pain in the ass to push unless it's a really open last like on Badwater.

I like the scoreboard badge. Doesn't take up a loadout slot.
It's so stupid that eyesores like Pink As Hell and Bitter Taste of Defeat and Lime are in the game, but this paint pack that has perfectly decent paints (Except maybe the Practitioner's Palette) is marked incompatible.
I'm not going to lie, I like practitioner's palette. It's so bright and colourful. Maybe if it was like, a pyrovision-only paint?
Whenever I go to a community server, I promise you, at least 80% percent of the team is Snipers. One time, in a server, (oh boy story time), at least the ENTIRE RED team were Snipers. The only player on the RED team that WASN'T a Sniper was a Force-A-Nature Scout with a Winger and an Atomizer, so whenever we would try to retaliate and fight back as Sniper, the Scout would mess up our aim by shooting us and knocking us back with the FaN and jump around, distracting us. The only way we could even get out of spawn is to buy invulnerability from the store plug-in.
Damnit damnit damnit.
I joined an Mann Up game, go engie, put the dispenser In a really common spot
Guy with 100 tours joins
"MOVE YOUR FUCKING DISPENSER BEFORE I KICK YOU"
gun mettle over, coins still showing up on scoreboard
What makes you think they're going away?
If we're headed the CS:GO route, a new campaign means new maps, new contracts, new skins/cosmetics, and a badge you can equip on the scoreboard to prove your participation.

Then what happened?
Then what happened?
Moved it, he tried to votekick me, it fails, move dispenser back. Kick him instead, vote passed
Some people with 100+ Tours seem to have a problem when someone doesnt play how they want them to play
Everytime I play Powerhouse it feels like it's 24 vs 1.
In other servers that'd mean instadefeat, but since it's powerhouse, no, it's just 24 vs 1.
[sp]It's still very fun[/sp]
Playing Spy, and when you're cloaked and trying to backstab an enemy, a 'friendly' player walks over to you, and reveals your location, most commonly by hitting you with their melee or shooting at you. So annoying. Especially if I'm playing on a Valve server. (I rarely play on Valve servers. I'm a one with taste for community servers and gamemodes, like VSH and Death Run.)

What a dick. It's interesing though, but in my very limited Mann Up experience 100+ tour players tended to just shut up and do what needs to be done.
I think a week ago I was playing with a friend on the Decoy level of Mecha Engine and we were put in a game with a bunch of newbies (which is fine because it was our first tour too) and one of them was a 12 year old English kid who kept talking constantly, formulating plans and giving suggestions. We were failing horribly. "Uhh 'ave the buff banna' please stand nea' me... oh I f'gat to equip ma' buff banna'" and it was very difficult to play because at first I was dying of laughter but after 40 minutes it became so annoying that I couldn't pay attention to the game, and we left.
Next time we were matched up with four ~50 tour people and they were really chill, we talked about where to set up our defense, everyone was polite, and we did the mission pretty quickly.
If there isn't one already, there should be a thread for finding groups for Mann Up. It would be really nice to play with people you know are chill and who won't try and votekick you for stupid bullshit.
Had some oddity with the Enforcer today. I took advantage of the +20% damage while disguised, deals 122 damage, as it should. However from then on I could not deal the buff to anyone ever again, only that first hit. Stayed that way for the whole game.

Hmm, took me 50 posts for me to rate instead of 30.
Firs time seeing this thread... how about this autobalance issue.
Your team is down by 3 people but barely holding on. Autobalance is supposed to kick in and take someone off the opposing team but ... nothing. The round ends, you're down 12-9 or 9-6 and it was never made more even to 11-10 or 8-7.
Probably because autobalance was turned off by a vote

I've noticed this too. My theory is that the system waits for a bit after it detects an imbalance to give it a chance to sort itself out (by players joining the other team and players joining/leaving the game), because it wants to avoid forcefully moving players to the other team.
I was just on a match where I was freezing and lagging every five seconds
God, I don't want Comcast anymore
I crashed 5 times today because I got killed. Ye, every time I got killed I crashed. Is this a sign the game wants me to git gud?

Sounds like you need a something newer than a computer that runs windows 7
edit: and by that I mean don't use a toaster for tf2, yes I know some people use win7 on their rigs
Sounds like you need a something newer than a computer that runs windows 7
Hey, some toasters can burn your bread, but it's still edible!.
OT: Some time I want to play some good ol' TF2, but all what I find is orange, vsh or deathrun servers full at 10am and those game modes are fun, but they don't replace the normal 12vs12 badwater round.
