Taking damages fills your Caber meter. Takes 150 damage to fill meter.
With full meter, hit someone with the caber to detonate it and use up your Caber charge.
Caber regenerates if the meter is filled up again.
You can't use it immediately this way, you have to be actively engaging in combat for some time before it becomes available. You also can't use it any time someone is in your face and does 150 damage to you either, since if you haven't healed all that damage, using it is a great way to kill yourself. So long as you keep surviving though, you can keep on using the Caber.[/QUOTE]
But now it kinda has the same problem as the old Battalion's Backup and Concheror, taking damage to get your reward. Also if it's like the old caber and can still one shot Medic's it's dumb.

If you, as a medic get hit with a melee weapon by a class thats almost 10% slower than you, you deserve to get killed.

I'd agree, but Demoknight charging exists.
Of course, with my balance change which should probably be discussed in the right thread, that Demoknight wouldn't have the Caber explosion right off the bat, and would have to play as a glorified Bottleknight for a while before being able to use it.

Caber's an inherently flawed weapon. Demo already has reliable close-range explosive damage at the expense of large self-damage. In order to make the caber worthwhile to use over the GL it basically has to one-shot the enemy, which is horribly unfun to play against. Without a total rework there's not really any middle ground that will work imo.
what if they rebuffed the explosive damage just enough so that it does a minimum of 125 damage in total
you still wouldn't be able to one-shot the most important member of the enemy team by wildly flailing your melee weapon at him any more, but you [I]would[/I] be able to sticky jump across the map and blow up clueless snipers again
and i think that's something everyone can get behind

It wasn't even a pro map or comp map, it was just upward.

I don't get from your post if that Medic refused to buff other players even after building their charge. I always stand still healing one player to build uber and try to give buffs to as many players as possible close to the round start. If you buff your whole team at the start of the setup time, the buffs will fade away by the round start.

Depends on what exacly you mean.
You will still be able to heal the soldier and pop uber,before gun mettle you couldn't.

If you have uber that is. Even if you do, Soldier will still most likely run away before noticing that you popped it.
If you're popping uber to save an escape plan soldier still fighting people i think you should instead heal someone who knows what they're doing

He can still change to rocket launcher(assuming he is not out of ammo).
The only reason why the escape plan change matters is uber building.

And also for doing Kamikaze taunt and surviving :v: (although no one will waste uber like that in the real game)
Something I always thought was dumb: Why do most Noisemakers have limited uses? There's no reason to limit it, and all it does is make them nigh-worthless unless you're a collector.

So people can't spam them. People already spam the ones that [i]are[/i] indefinite. We're just lucky they can only do it during the Anniversary Event or Australian Christmas/Smissmas.
