So I wanted to try out Watergate until Invasion Coin still counts kills and assists...

People who vote no to extend map on a good map. I will find you, and kill you. On the next map, of course.
Look on the bright side dude, that dustbowl vote passed just smoothly!

Good thing I play on badwa- Oh, it's frontier now.
sv_pure 1
Good thing I play on badwa- Oh, it's frontier now.
I'd argue that Frontier is a lot more fun than Hoodoo, at least. Or as I like to call it "pl_chokepoint".
Now, an under-appreciated map that I love but seldom ever gets played? Thundermountin, in and out.
sv_pure 1
More specifically, sv_pure 1 on community servers?
More specifically, sv_pure 1 on community servers?
Anywhere. It doesn't make sense on valve servers since the reason they did it was
for that gamebanana exploit pack thing which now circumvents sv_pure 1. And it especially doesn't make sense on community servers. It's a giant fucking backhand to skinners and modders and it's
extremely stupid considering: 1. Valve's entire fortune is games based off mods. 2. They always used to be super open to modding. and 3. Their entire way of making revenue for TF2 via the community workshop was created out of so many people making mods and skins.
You have to remember that "they" aren't "there" anymore. It's a different team that works on TF2 now.

Eric's still there. Eric will always be there....

I forgot about Eric. Oh Eric.

Yeah I'm done with my contracts and wanted to at least hit 2000 on watergate and probed and ... cant find any servers. Ugh.
(2nd edit)
I'm on probed and can't level up the invasion token. I think there's a glitch.
People who whine when you kill them on maps that have bosses.
When the boss isn't even fucking active.
Are they fighting back or shooting people or just standing around? On ghost fort, I'm just standing around as a sniper waiting for merasmus and suddenly a scout or soldier or spy decides to kill me.

Damn it, steam support apparantly won't let you open up more than 3 tickets. I've tried to open a ticket on this and on cp_gorge contracts and it won't add my question
Crit-A-Cola scouts. I finally encountered a good one and I don't think fury can begin to describe my reaction. Fast enough to completely and utterly throw off my timing when they do the bullshit circling around obstacles thing, plus they literally make me nauseous trying to track them when they either circle around or do the jumping bullshit and they can kill your medic almost instantly and I just cannot cope because they move so fucking fast. Valve what the fuck were you thinking?!?!

Basic TF2 design is that free critical hits are a direct replacement for skill.
The game is practically balanced around that fact.
Millstone is terrible on every level. I feel physical pain when playing it.

I especially like how holding any sort of Nest for defense is impossible due to Horsemen or Monoculus.
But even the general layout really favors blue. I've never seen one team get fucked over so far until milstone
You know it's even worse when 2 monoculus will forever respawn no matter how many times you kill them. The amount of choke points is literally a nightmare, Red team favors with spells at start (i know the map is a fuckfest for them but it doesn't justify that), some places can be built for sentries where it takes a lot of patience to deal with them (and this is even before adding skeletons and HHH).
You can't turn around a corner without being blasted by anything.
Honestly when I see two monoculuses at the same time I just lose any will to live... the point of a boss is to be the star of the show - you cannot put a monster with a fuckton of health (which is going to invariably camp against RED because they are the 'static' team) and still expect me to also deal with the entirety of the other team.
The only map with a Boss that is supposed to be a distraction and not the entire point of the map is hightower - which also happens to be the only map where the Boss (The Skeleton King) has very little health and does not really do that much.

This.
RED gets bent over and screwed with no lube because of all the bull going on around the map.
It's nearly impossible to win as RED unless the other team is a potato, because you're constantly being pummeled by two monoculuses at once.
I'm getting really annoyed by the server browser because it decides to find all of Valve's 300 ping Singapore servers in seconds but the Stockholm servers with 20 ping come minutes after them. Hell, sometimes it even connects to Washington on the other side of the world faster. This wouldn't otherwise be a huge problem, but now that the Merasmissions require you to play on specific maps you need to find them using the server browser. When I finally do find a server that's not full or empty, I can only play there for a few rounds before the map is changed and I have to again find a new server.
Join a server for a merasmission, but the server changes map as soon as I join, making it impossible to click disconnect, so I have to wait 3 times more than normal just to get on the right map
I was on an MvM server yesterday, and Jesus Christ, the guy with the fancy weapons / unusual / taunts kicked a scout during the first wave because he missed 28 fucking dollars.
Man, fuck this stupid meta bullshit. Let people have fun without having all this elitist bullshit shoved up their ass.
Millstone makes Junction look playable.
Honestly, the easiest thing is to ignore Monoculus. Ironically, this is the hardest principle to put into practice
Killing him doesn't do anything for the objective. Dodge the rockets and avoid making him mad with crits. Just jump in the portals when he teleports for free special spells.
He will go away on his own while you focus on the cart.
Also some people don't realize that you can lead HHH to the enemy team and let him do all the work for you.

Surprisingly, I've actually had fun recently with MvM. The trick is to learn the meta of the classes with a group of friends before playing with randoms

And what if you have no one to play with?
ask here on fp and thou shall recieve.
Games with people you can rely on almost always go smooth. Even if you have 4 or 5 you have the advantage of having both the super-majority when it comes to kicking griefers or idiots and with 5 it's okay if the 6th underperforms.

Also I'm annoyed that I'm going to miss the Halloween event because I'm too preoccupied with Afterbirth's release.
I'm just going to hope the new event maps either get added to their respective gamemode rotations or their regular counterparts get added when the event concludes.
plr_hightower_event
also called plr_stalemate_event
just had the misfortune to have this map for a contract

the best part is, version 0 critcola was perfectly balanced and they once again ruined an item one way or another.
