Stuff that Annoys you in TF2: MS Paint Crocket Edition

Welp, somebody on a payload server was whining the team didn't have medics, so i decided to play Medic Kritz after seeing the blu team having 2 quickfix.
We held it for a good amount of time and without dying, i managed to pull 4 or 5 kritz and then at last 10 seconds on victory i got voted off because they thought i was cheating ubers :v:
Man, fuck this.
Damn, to think of that so many people play on Valve Servers and dont know the glorious worlds of a community server.
Sometimes I need to remind myself that that side of TF2 exists. Hopefully MM will fix that.
I find that nowadays payload valve servers attract a LOT of competitive players, especially when badwater is on.
Even met a guy I knew from a nocrit community server
Valve badwater servers can be a fucking pain as it attracts comp players like moths to a flame and goddamnit enemy soldier I just want to practice my scout skills stop KILLING ME WITH YOUR ELEVEN MEDICS
[editline]23rd November 2015[/editline]
Although has anyone found that the ratio of good:bad is slowly increasing on valve servers?
WHY THE FUCK DOES A SNIPER NEED A POCKET MEDIC
WHY THE FUCK DOES A SNIPER NEED A POCKET MEDIC
Not as bad as seeing a Ubercharged Phlogistinator Pyro coming straight at you
The amount of crutch weapons in the game and how OP they can be
(Crutch being a weapon that can be used as a replacement to skill)
seriously, blackbox/conch/escape plan is so fucking annoying to fight
Passive healing, health from damage you deal, and if you somehow manage to fuck up you can always zoom away

I suppose. I wish I could at least airblast the phlogger away while it's burning me.

The worst kind of Crutch weapon to me is the "Do this easy task for FREE CRITICALS" (hi pyro mains)
Or better yet, storing crits for later.
Really hate those weapons.

The same as a Spy with good aim getting pocket medic and then boast how he is a good Revolver :v:

you deserved to die if you get killed by a phlog pyro.
Doing extremely well as Heavy on goldrush, the medic we do have isn't pocketing me and only really heals me when I shout for it.
Usually pockets his butt buddy the Soldier.
I end up dominating the enemy's salty all cheap unusual all australium Heavy who joins onto my team, and attempts a vote kick for cheating on me.
I suddenly remembered I was on a Valve server, almost instantly I can hear the flood of 'yes' and I am kicked from the server.
Voted off by my own mentally challenged team...
you deserved to die if you get killed by a phlog pyro.
I thought of the Phlog at first too but it's possible he's talking about pretty much every other Pyro unlock (All the Flare Guns, Reserve Shooter, old Axtinguisher).
you deserved to die if you get killed by a phlog pyro.
See this is the joke.
I was actually talking about the Reverse Shooter.
But you wouldn't know that because Pyro has so many god damn freecrit weapons.
reserve shooter does minicrits, does not store crits and requires you to lock people in midair with an airblast.
none of that fits with what you described.
---
backburner requires you to be at the right spot to get the crits and even then its unreliable as fuck and wouldn't work in most maps that lack proper flank routes
mannmelter's rate of fire is really poor and lacks pasive reload for some reason, and its value comes from the ability to extinguish people more efficiently rather than for the crits you earn.
axtinguisher only crits from the back, your chances are far better relying on the backburner if you're already there
and the phlog requires you to time your crit boost properly to catch your enemies by surprise to actually kill them. the damage resitance will not save you from enemies focusing you, makes you vulnerable to backstabs, and most likely the chances are that you will use it to recover health rather than plowing through a wave of people.

And the scout has the Sandman and Back Scatter.
Stun someone then get behind them for free crits!

It also crits if you,
A-JUMP!
B-FALL!
He generally means how pretty much all of the, ahem... "Side-Grades" have so many advantages that they out-weigh the disadvantages in a lot of situations.
Phlog gives you crits for playing Pyro. It's generally for being a nuisance sat at the back of the map with scorch shot till you get 100% Mmmph from afterburn. Again a team that panics in situations where there is an M1 pyro, you lose defence so quickly.
Backburn gives you crits for walking around the enemy and sneaking up to them, great idea. If it wasn't for the particle hitreg being so shitty.
Axtinguisher is flat out better than Axe for combat. Because a player cannot keep track of the position of an enemy all the time, and sometimes the Pyro will indeed slip behind them and one-shot them.
And don't get me started on back hitreg, it's generally not fun to fight against.
And for weapons like the Flare and Reserve Shooter, I could stand them when airblast wasn't a stun lock. Now it's just a joke and doesn't take much to land a hit on airblasted targets.
I played overwatch this weekend, and it really reminded me how poorly optimized tf2 is, I came back to this game and remembered the shit frames, poor hitreg, and general imbalance there was.
again, it does not crit. and the window you have on jumping/falling players is so small you'll barely get a good amount of pellets on your target.
It only takes 225 fire damage to fill the Phlog meter
Which means you can take down 2 scouts from full health to fill it
Or take down a single Heavy and not even have to kill him
The Soldiers Banners meanwhile Take 600 damage to fill them
To make it balanced, increase how much damage is need to fill the Phlog meter

Soldier also has no range limitation, has splash damage, has high mobility, and the buff banner gives minicrits to everyone around him not just the soldier. honestly if you just get destroyed by phlog pyros you probably just have poor gamesense and the pyro just punished you for being out of position or poor dm ability

You forget Scorch Shot exists for that sole reason for range limitation and lack of aim.
Phlog crits that are wasted mean nothing due to how easy it is to get it again from pure scorch shot afterburn.

Uhhh....
In order MiniCrits.
I said "Or better yet" as to talk about different weapons, Frontier Justice in this specific case.
Backburner: Wait for somone to walk in front of you for Free Crits. Are they getting too far away from you? Use that Physics eating air blast to somehow simultaneously push them away and catch up to them at the same time.
Man Melter: Extinguish enemies for.... Free Storing Crits.
Axtinguisher minicrits from the front, and is still part of the piss easy chains caused by the deagreaser.
Lets go further because pyro makes me angry
Flaregun: Hit someone whos already on fire for Free Crits. Aiming too hard? Lets use that physics eating Airblast to hold enemies still for you.
Detonator: See Flaregun, except weaker with Mini Crits, better if you're somehow unable to hit people with the flaregun when they're literally being held down with airblast, but hey you get some minor jumps with this. Thats cool I guess.
Neon Anhilator: Exist underwater for Free Crits! (Hello to Moonshine players)
Phlog: Play WM+1 for Free crits! Now this has just gone full circle. IF you use it like an idiot, yes you'll die.
But you can quite easily pair this with other weapons, such as the Scorch Shot to get up to that 225 and by all means, crit+m1 away. The Phlog was literally invented for spawn camping.
The fact you're dismissing a lot of his freecrit weapons seems pretty pointless, considering they're just outclassed by better freecrit weapons.
Soldier also has no range limitation, has splash damage, has high mobility, and the buff banner gives minicrits to everyone around him not just the soldier. honestly if you just get destroyed by phlog pyros you probably just have poor gamesense and the pyro just punished you for being out of position or poor dm ability
That and Soldier is actually competently designed.
I hate playing Medic
It could suck being the medic when the person you're healing isn't that great at fighting or is doing something dumb.
And the scout has the Sandman and Back Scatter.

Good luck getting behind a stunned played especially when your turn speed while stunned isn't reduced.
Also it only minicrits at close range and the scattergun's damage is already high enough to 2 shot something with or without minicrits.
requires you to lock people in midair with an airblast.
You make it sound like this is hard.
problem is that like most people you're basing your scenario on a 1v1 basis. in direct combat agaisnt literally any class that isnt the medic you chances are that you HAVE to rely on the secondaries to fill that meter from a safe distance, because otherwise you'll get destroyed up close, even more agaisnt a group of enemies.
the main source of complains agaisnt the phlog comes from people that are already dead due to crits, afterburn and as such, ignoring that for that kill pyros need to position themselves and ambush people around corners to kill them all effectively. wich is why any decent player with a decent level of skill and awareness will kill the pyro from a safe distance, will dodge the flares and most likely kill him before he can even fill that metter. try to plain braindead with a phlog and run towards any decent player and you'll be dead quite fast thanks to the fact that most if not all of pyro's gameplay is reliant nowdays in the use of airblast to handle any situation to your favor.
there is also this huge thing with the phlog that, unless you use the mannmelter, you can nullify other people's afterburn, killing one of your tasks as a support.
You make it sound like this is hard.
it didn't say it is hard. I only stated the requirements for the RS's minicrits to take effect.
Its not though.
Literally any airborn target for any reason is freegame for the Revere Shooter.
I despise the RS and degreaser as much as everyone else because its not about getting ~*~free crits~*~ as pyro(mind you, most offensive clases nowdays can get them), is about the degreaser's switch speed that the process of getting said kill is absurdly easy compared to other classes's mechanics. even the phlog.

Scorch shot still having less splash radius and overall damage than the rocket launcher :i
