Comp players who play their main in pubs. Stay in your containment zone that is Lobbies. Don't stick your nose in my goddamn pubs just because you need to pad your fucking ego. ::EDIT:: Actually, screw it. After watching multiple spies pass in front of me and still get a backstab on me, being shot by someone who was on the complete opposite side of the air conditioner unit on Badwater roof, and getting stonewalled by three Engineers on gorge, I'm done with TF2. As of right now it's no longer on my computer. I'm just going to work on my backlog of games in my Steam Library from now on.
Hello Thread! People who bash on F2P to make themselves look like a saint. Including: an average loadout image.

Somewhat strawmanny, but that is basically what is being said here. I don't agree, playing against better players is a good way to learn, and most really good players seem to be quiet in text chat in my experience.
What's funny about this is I've seen people who bought hats to get premium get onto this bashing f2p craze.
Yep,I've seen people who bash on f2ps WAY too many times. Some person says "I hate f2ps they killed tf2" but than I look at their mercenary badge and it shows "Hiring date:12 November 2013"
I don't HATE F2Ps in general, but let's be honest, finding a F2P that's actually good at the game can be pretty damn uncommon, and if you're an at least above-average player, it can be grating to constantly lose just because you can't carry your four useless spies and Engineer building in spawn, but again, I've seen plenty of P2P people who are awful as well. All in all, they can be annoying, but you have to realize most of them are just starting out. You can still be angry that they failed the team, but try and hate the sin and not hate the sinner.
My team and I was dominating the enemy team. Then one single aimbotting sniper joined their team and suddenly they kept winning

I've noticed though that the people that do this are almost always not above steel level.
That's where a fully charged Phlog comes in handy, especially behind the medic.
Is it just me, or have aimbots become much more common over the past month? I never even saw them before and now they're everywhere.

I dunno if anyone here plays on skial servers but I always try to play on the euro ones because they're actually focused on the game, no idle banter, etc. When they aren't around, I'm stuck to the LA or USA ones, which is literally nothing but dumb idle social talk. Call me a party pooper, but I don't want to play a game where some guy is micspamming DANCE BATTLE or like 10 people are talking about what they had for dinner. Is anyone else bugged by idle talk on the mic or is it just me? Also how does paying for the game make you a better player over someone who's playing for free. Like goddamn.
If it's a community pub ofc you're going to hear idle chatter... Pubs are casual as shit and as long as they're actually playing the game while socializing I don't see the issue If there's anyone in a pub actually talking strategies they're probably doing it exclusively with their friends in Mumble
Most games I've been in where people are talking strategically, it always has all talk off, which makes sense since you aren't giving plans away. But every now and then you run into some guy who's giving away their plans for everyone. Hopefully he's on the other side.
The commands are for numerous amounts of people, servers, etc. Muting only deals with one person and some people want to get back to the game then have to mute 5 or more players.
There's also a command that I haven't really seen mentioned anywhere - ignoremsg It switches text chat filtering; enter it once and it will block messages from all players; enter it twice to block messages from enemy players. Works only while you're on a server but it allows you to hide chat without hiding game's information messages.
I hate how it's pretty much impossible to ever keep your fps from dipping below 60. My rig isn't terrible but tf2 is just one of those horribly bloated games where it's impossible to ever attain a steady, decent fps.
i dont think i have ever played tf2 at 60 fps. or even at a stable 30.
Even my new GTX 960 gets heavy frame drops if a lot is going on. TF2 will run on just about anything, but it never seems to run well. :v:
Even I can't 100% get 60 at all times. I'm pretty sure lag is a game feature at this point. It's nice when you have it tho. [vid]http://webm.host/1027f/vid.webm[/vid]
I must be one of the lucky ones because I can exceed 60 fps, but I understand what it feels like to go 40 and below. A gt 620 can only do so much.
Sentry Knockback in the VSH gamemode, I hate that shit.
Sentry Knockback in the VSH gamemode, I hate that shit.
Sentries are difficult to work with in VSH, they're either too strong or utterly useless
So i'm playing on Dustbowl and there's this Medic that's top scoring on the board and i barely see him doing any healing. So i ask him if he could do actually heal people and he says no cause he wants to get kills with his ubersaw. Why even be Medic if you're not gonna heal?
I feel like you guys are really exaggerating minor frame drops you may get time to time. I don't even consider my computer to be that good and I'm still able to run a steady 100-200 fps on max settings
The framedrops are skins with 95% probability. I also get that ever since gun mettle except in my case they're quite drastic. [editline]12th December 2015[/editline] God bless dx8 and it's skin-disabling ability.
I feel like the only one that doesn't have framerate issues in TF2. I get lag spikes on occasion, but nothing near crippling. I regularly have 100+ framerate in this game, and it's not a beefy rig at all.
I have a 960 and I run everyone on max with like 200fps Could it be my ram? I've got like 16gigs I think i'm actually happy it's not a problem for me *knockknock*
I have a 960 and I run everyone on max with like 200fps Could it be my ram? I've got like 16gigs I think i'm actually happy it's not a problem for me *knockknock*
I'm on a Radeon 6900 with 6 GB of RAM. 16 GB is extravagantly superfluous for running TF2.
/beginrant So i'm playing a valve cactus canyon server, minding my own business. On my team is a soldier with an aussie launcher. I compliment him "hey dude, nice aussie!" No response. He was active in the chat, though. I see him die, and I pick it up, look at it a little and pick my strange launcher back up. Votekick Riley? Reason: Scamming Annoying cunt on mic "Oh, that's not uh, your gun is it? That's thievery!" Kicked: you have been voted off I was topfragging too. Calm the fuck down kid it's a virtual item. Don't want people to take it? Don't fucking die with it /endrant
I must be one of the lucky ones because I can exceed 60 fps, but I understand what it feels like to go 40 and below. I mean I'm on a 980 ti with 16gigs of RAM and I still get lag every now and then.
