I sometimes change to the losing every time mine is steam rolling. Usually when I'm with friends I tell them over skype to go with me if they can so we can do team effort with the losing team. One of my friends mains medic so it helps.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but I really don't like people who just sit in spectate so they can get on the winning team.
Well, I sometimes do that so I don't join a team who loses the second I join
Or if I have a map contract and want to join the winning team for a quick 15 points
Or if I want to see which team has the most Snipers/ Spies/ Pyros/ Engis Nests which the other team can't get rid of
I hate when there's 4 heavie. That's tryhard for me. We were beating them until they had 4 heavie. We had a pretty good team, very balanced with one medics and two soldier, one offensive engineer, one scout and one demo and we were losing against them. There were too many heavie, this is crazy,i never ever saw something like this. Ok for 2 heavie, but literally 4 ? And hey,did i said they also had medic on them ? Yep,totally true.
.. and i just,LOVE,when we beat them again, they were totally lost and they had no more defenses. :)
Oh and in badlands, they had 2 level 3 sentrie in cap point at the last point : You can just rocket jump to the point to cap,the sentrie just won't do anything ! :p ESPECIALLY if you get healed

Right, I'm supposed to put something else. I can't draw, so

I mostly blame contracts for that. That and TF2 makes it really unfun to be on the losing team.
Speaking of which, I hate the bonus part of map contracts. It's near impossible to win a game. because the only open slots are on the losing team (because tf2 makes it unfun to lose so players leave), and if you somehow manage to actually get on the winning team, you promptly get shifted to the losing team via autobalance.
I don't know which side hurt the most when you lose, red or blu ? Especially on payload uh.
4 heavies
Get a vaccinator medic. Vac always works for me when the other team decides to rush as a single class
I don't know which side hurt the most when you lose, red or blu ? Especially on payload uh.
When you lose because your team forgets to push the bomb.
Doesn't matter how much you kill the other team, just push the god damn bomb
It wouldn't be TF2 without being on a team with 4 pyros and 3 spies.
I always find myself with a checklist when i join a server.
Does the team have a Medic? More than likely not.
Does the team have 3+ Snipers/Spies? This one is checked on reflex.
Slightly on-topic for something i hate, it's when you have another Engineer on your team who builds where you're already set up. I could atleast understand putting his stuff down there temporarily, using my dispenser to get some metal and hauling off to a different spot, but when they just leave it there, it's not really helping anyone.
Having two sentries next to eachother might seem good, twice the firepower - But an uber is still an uber, 0x2 is still 0 damage.
So please, to any Engineers that do this who somehow read this, i ask of you to spread out. Having two seperate nests means more ground is covered! They have to worry about coming under fire from TWO directions!

Your best bet is moving your stuff somewhere else when this happens.
Yeah its unfair, but the other person is already an idiot, and probably isn't worth trying to convince.
whats worse than being autobalanced?
being autobalanced twice
To be honest i hate fighting against Scouts as Sniper, they're too darn fast to headshot and they jump all over the place. Then again i'm average at best with Sniper :v:

You can't really get contact with a newbie.
Most of them don't read chat.

Being AutoBalanced twice the moment you joined the server and picked a team?
*Player 1 has joined the game
*Player 1 join team red
*Player 2 left the game ( Reason: Screw this game)
*Player 1 joined team blue to AutoBalance the teams
*Player 3 and 4 left the game
*Player 1 Joined team red (Again, to AutoBalance the teams)

That's it,we understand,autobalance is annoying,autobalance is BROKEN AS FUCK :v:
Tried my hand at Powerhouse again after many months, still missing 23 wins for that achievement, and it's exactly as I remember it - the map on Valve servers is an endless source of frustration if you're actually going for the wins/achievement and want rounds to last less than an hour.
Pushing for last is super hard if your team doesn't have the necessary amount of tough classes that can deal with Sentries, Medics (preferably more than one) and a friendly Engie that actually knows his thing and builds a mandatory forward teleport in that side tunnel at mid.
It just wonderfully exposes how incapable of actually having a sensible class composition, pushing and sealing the deal 90% of teams on Valve servers are. Most of the time, when your team caps mid, they'll go back to being one of 6+ semi-useless light classes that simply can't push into a turtling enemy, while me and 1 or 2 other guys work our asses off trying to actually break through and cap last almost without support and with no Medics.
I'm either forced to be the sole Medic on an atacking team of mostly Snipers, Spies, Pyros and Engies that simply can't break through Sentries or won't even attempt going for the last cap, if I do find a patient or two on the appropriate class they're simply bad at keeping me and themselves alive and can't utilize ubers, or I go lone Soldier, Heavy or Demo myself, in which case I'm forced to attempt a breakthrough without a Medic and with little teammate support (everyone's being a useless Spy, camping Sniper or a 2nd or 3rd superflous Engie on an attacking team).
To top it all off, 2 out of 3 or more of my games on Powerhouse end up with the defending team eventually getting some decent players and Medic combos on their team, turning the tide and wiping the floor with us in 2 minutes, right after having frustrated my inept and poorly composed ''attacking'' team for an hour.
The map has its merits, it can be very fun, but fuck those hour-long slogs that end with crushing defeat after having worked my ass off and having been one of the few people actually trying to push and maintaining some form of pressure. And seriously fuck all the extra Engies, Snipers and Spies who don't want to go for the enemy's last, sit back to camp the area outside the enemy's base, and then simply disintegrate and get steamrolled once the other team gets its shit together and starts pushing back.
Can't think of a map that exposes the average player's lack of ability or sense more than Powerhouse.

Especially when theirs is in perfect grenade/rocket launcher splash distance from mine
Destroy sentry
Destroy dispenseer
Destroy engineer
Capture the point with 0:10 left
Get blind crit'd from across the map
You have been autobalanced
You failed

Push the cart, 10cm away from final point
Die

You failed
They seriously need to fix the autobalance, because shit like this is infuriating.

The fact that it was like that when I started 4 - 5+ years ago pisses me off too

Tell medic to activate charge.
Force pushing ahead to clear the way for the cart.
1:30 on the timer.
Wipe out the 3 sentryguns.
Massacre 80% of the enemy team.
Pushing the cart with medic, we're about to cap.
Backstabbed by a C&D corner camping Spy which dies instantly after.
You have been auto-balanced.
Scout taps the cart in the pit.
You failed.
When you have a Medic on you with an uber ready and you tell them to pop you, only for them to just run away and leave you to die.
The fact that so many parts of the game are still so unbelievably broken is really starting to rag on my mind.
I mean, come on, Valve. You're Valve! You made the Half Life series, you made Portal! Games that are famous for their attention to detail and quality!
And yet... Replays are broken and unused. Duels might as well not exist. The original crafting system is full of old junk nobody needs or uses (when was the last time you saw somebody craft a class token?) Autobalance is broken, the voting system is even worse.
Not to mention abominations like Autoplay, which is still broken. And all these little, tiny, otherwise meaningless details that nevertheless make the game feel so... sloppy.
Clipping issues, lazy animations, texture inaccuracies, old content that is still not entirely gone... I mean, I know Valve is at least making an effort to fix/improve some of this stuff, but the overall point is it shouldn't have been let in there in the first place. It's just messy.
On an entirely separate note: I love most of the Snowplow map visually, and I also love it gameplay wise... But I hate how friggen tiny the train on it is, it looks so... out of place, so wrong.
The fact that it was like that when I started 4 - 5+ years ago pisses me off too
Autobalance is easily the worst feature in the game.
Not only does it completely kill the mood, it empties servers, and makes matches even more of steam roll than usual.
If any of the scenarios happens to someone, they ususally are discouraged and quit the server.
its now unbalanced teams again.
rinse and repeat.
10vs 5 team
Game and enjoyment is dead for the entire server.
I don't mind autobalance when it takes effect after the end of the round.
the voting system is even worse
What's wrong with it? I see many people complaining about voting system but no one really says why it's bad.
when was the last time you saw somebody craft a class token?
When the invasion update came out.
:v:
Don't forget the decal tools too. Still only 4 items use them?
What's wrong with it? I see many people complaining about voting system but no one really says why it's bad.
BLU team pushes through stage 1 of a 3-stage map.
Vote called: Scramble the teams?
Vote passes, teams are scrambled and the game resets back to stage 1.
BLU pushes through stage 1 again.
Vote called: Scramble the teams?
the voting system would be nice if you could actually specify reasons—when someone is incessantly micspamming or trolling your team (reverse teleporters, tele traps, etc.), do you call that Idle, Scamming, Cheating, or No Reason Given?

If would also be nice if they go though if there are more Yes votes then No, even if the whole server didn't vote
Example:
Change map? (24 people on Server)
Yes:8
No:2
Vote failed: Not enough people were assed to cast their vote (Only 10 people voted)
In fact, it would be helpful to see how many people need to vote for it to pass.
