It sucks when shit like that happens. But to avoid this, what did you upgrade on scout?
Once I was in Mann Up and all main classes were taken except for money collector (scout, spy, etc). I chose a class at random and asked kindly if someone would be a money collector, since I was bad at it. everyone in chat got pissed and demanded that I go Scout, or get kicked. So I went Scout, did pretty badly on the first wave (cause I have NO experience as Scout in MvM) and everyone got furious. Then I got kicked. Mann Up elitists are worse than F2Ps.
These are just loot grinders. They want to finish waves as fast as they can to see what they've got. It's no suprise that they'll kick anyone that is not following their orders or they just bad players. Avoid 2cities If you don't want to meet them. The second option is to cooperate with them and get good.

If you mess up somewhere, even if you stuck with the team for an hour, same thing. That said, Scout in MVM is literally just upgrading all resistance and passive self stats and running around Mad Milking bots :v:

The Spy can be most useful if you get behind enemy lines with ease. (Cloak and Dagger, Invis watch) When you use the Deadringer and FEIGN poorly (What most people do) the enemy team will always track you down and destroy you before you can eliminate any key targets. Not to mention that most noobs can't even disguise as their own team to make FEIGNS less predictable and a bit more useful.
I only really like the Dead Ringer on maps that weren't designed with Spy in mind, and have nothing but chokepoints he couldn't get through otherwise.
You can get through any chokepoint with invis. But yeah generally the best way to play bad maps is not to play bad maps.
Oh, what pisses me off more than anything else in the entire game, is how often demoknights swing at me from miles away and seem to get a hit. As a scout, I jump away from them easily but they still seem to get a hit even when not close. Does me tits in.
I've always said I dunno why Valve decided it was a good idea to give the Demoman a sniper rifle as a melee weapon.
To me the Deadringer is utterly useless. Dead Ringer is actually decent and more skill-based now, but it uses a different playstyle mentality than before. If you disguise as a friendly class that isn't Scout and feign, you can use the speed boost to backcap more easily. Combine this with the L'Etranger to lengthen your cloak time to a rate that is comparable to using the IW if you keep moving over ammo packs. Although the speed boost won't last the entire cloak run, ideally you decloak, pick up ammo near last and then try to cap with it available. If spotted, take some damage and feign, run to the nearest ammo pack and rinse and repeat if they leave. I still prefer the IW, but the speed boost on DR is still interesting and can be even used to access new pathways, such as more easily making the jump into the path intended to be red-only on Dustbowl last. (Technically you CAN make this by bunnyhopping, but it requires perfect precision which you sometimes do not have time for if the opposing team is there)
You can get through any chokepoint with invis. But yeah generally the best way to play bad maps is not to play bad maps.
Trust me, no. Dustbowl last stage is the best exemple.
Trust me, no. Dustbowl last stage is the best exemple.
I have trust issues due to spies. Dustbowl last stage is barely a prime example of a bullshit chokepoint since there is an unpopular alternate route underneath which you should take as Spy. However, the main choke isn't impossible to get through either. So long as you make it to the spiral staircase building you're set. There is also a ledge there that helps tremendously if you're on BLU, so you never get close to the actual spam. Why do you play Dustbowl is the real question though.
Can't remember the upgrades. It was a while ago
well, for future reference all you need is speed and jump height, as well as resistances depending on the wave, and later milk slowness if there are super scouts and milk regen
If spotted, take some damage and feign, run to the nearest ammo pack and rinse and repeat if they leave.
You should not be able to do this as spy. Even with the argument that DR allows a more aggressive playstyle as Spy, how easy it is to refill the cloak meter on the DR puts it into the realm of "just not at all fun to fight against". Maybe not hard to fight against, but really annoying.
The Dead Ringer has never been unbalanced, it's just ridiculously annoying. Go play TF2C, and enjoy how much more fun it is once you unlearn constantly chasing after Spies you've killed.
right now DR is stupid again, so don't be fooled into thinking it got "fixed" because it's arguably even more problematic than pre-gun mettle. It's 75% resis + unreachable free speed at this moment. Today's issue revolves around the endless horrors of having to be the class that nobody else has the guts to play on Pub. [t]http://oi65.tinypic.com/24ceg5f.jpg[/t] Really though. I love to play Medic and Engineer, but sometimes I'd like just a little bit of leeway so that I can play a different class at some point. I know that I don't really HAVE to go these classes and I can just keep doing what I'm doing, but then doesn't that make me just as bad as the people who don't play TEAM Fortress 2 as a TEAM based game?
That backburner pyro who runs across the entire map to your spawn just to destroy your teleporter and get immediately killed afterwards
It's just a huge ballache, the dead ringer. You 'kill' the spy, except you know you haven't killed him and you have to waste time following him to an ammo pack or, if he's smart-ish, searching hiding spots where he'll decloak/suspiciously watching for player models in case he has disguised. Essentially, it just results in non-fun and tedious minutes of gameplay for the other team. Especially when the other team has 2 or 3 dead ringer spies rinsing and repeating ad nauseum. It also robs you of the joy of a kill, by reducing it to a dull and repetitive faux kill and pursuit.

If safes are rated in minutes it takes for an expert to break open, could you rate players on the minimum number of minutes it takes to turn a losing team into a winning team?
This is a minor thing, but the new engineer cosmetic, the Winter Backup, looks kind of silly. Not because it is poorly made, but because it doesn't have any straps on it and looks like its hot glued to engineers back.
That backburner pyro who runs across the entire map to your spawn just to destroy your teleporter and get immediately killed afterwards
Newer players who play as pyro have this amazing ability to make it into the spawn area with ease. I swear I see more flanks by these pyros than spies, and they literally just walk mindlessly to their destination.

Regulars are very predictable down to the very last letter. Newbies do weird shit like suddenly freeze like their keyboard was unplugged, or out of nowhere just bolt off in another direction for god knows why. If I need to lead my shots (Huntsman for example) it completely screws me over. What's worse is when a newbie learns how to use his weapons. They aren't afraid to rush you with a shotgun, let alone their melee in very close quarters, where any other player would keep their distance as you and they duke it out.

The worst part was that a Demoman started chasing and shooting him. With a Sticky Jumper.
I came to the sudden realization that I never truly liked MvM. I was merely a loot grinder like 80% of the people that played the mode. I'm a monster.
Dead ringer is one of the most annoying item existing. Because spies actually stop burning when they use the dead ringer. It's literally the spy cicle, but with only one sec of resistance to fire. of course it's VERY easy to detect them because of the loud sound of the dead ringer,i'm always shocked of the fact that people don't know that they're uncloaking loudly and speaking of that, nobody seems to care about this, nobody listens once the game and hears the dead ringer. I do. "Pro" Spie with Dead ringer never survive long with me especially with pyro :p i put them in the corner and i burn them so they don't DR

If you ever play friendly heavy I hope you stop playing soon because these players do nothing but make the game constantly worse.
But moving heathkits are very useful. They give you 50% of your hp and ammo too.
there's an entire class that's a moving healthkit, and it doesn't run at the speed of a tar-covered sloth or heal the enemy team
