It was intended to be a halloween cosmetic. Dunno why Valve did what they did.
They thought a forced meme hat would be profitable.
They were right.
I'm honestly surprised it wasn't added as a Halloween cosmetic. We're what, a week or two from the yearly event?
Try a literal month.
I though it started at the start of October for some reason.
At least you can use your melee as a heavy when you get stunned. I've had a couple of guys trying to come and beat me and then I've just fucked 'em up as they tried to.

I'm half-tempted to log onto TF2 on Black Ops 3's launch day just to compare how much snipers there are in your average Valve server.
We're overdue for "We have too many snipers and/or spies" as a reason to votekick a player
For now, people have the excuse of saying it's for their contract.
Imagine if Valve could influence team compositions by only assigning certain class-specific contracts.
When people with 100+ ping accuse other people of lagging. No, sniper playing from Greece, the demo that lives 50 miles from the server isn't the one warping around.
Players that use "autism" as an insult.
Players that use "autism" as an insult.
if it makes you feel better, it's usually not targetted at the actual handicap and is just a generic term for "idiot"
kind of like "faggot"
Strange filters bug the shit out of me. They're supposed to give map makers a little more dough, but almost nobody uses them because only counting kills on a certain map is way too restricting. Why aren't they strange parts instead? Let the weapon count all kills but add a little counter for kills on x map.
I like filters. I just lock them to a silly number like 1337 and then I never play the map again and I'm not worried about losing my number :v:
Players who say "tryhard" when you just play like you want and insist you play by their weird imaginary set of rules
they have created for their little world in their head and God help you if you kill them with a combat class because that mean's you're a "sweaty trying queer".
People who genuinely get angry because you pick up their weapon.
I love that.
Holiday Punch heavies who decide to tickle you bloody endlessly when your demoman with the eyelander.
Holiday Punch heavies who decide to tickle you bloody endlessly when your demoman with the eyelander.
that seems oddly specific
surely any other class'd suffer the tickle-horror just as much right
What's with Concealed Killer cases? I got at least 10 of them from the contracts and the one I've just got is like 4th in a row.

press spacebar to make holidaypunch 100% harmless
or use your suicide bind when they make you laugh
yes I know, I'm an honorless scumbag
People who genuinely get angry because you pick up their weapon.
I've seen someone pick up a trade server mod's piss-colored sniper rifle. Next thing you know, he joins his team, follows him around bugging him and threatening to kick.
On topic: Is it me or are lennies, "autism insults'', lag spikes, and tunnel visioning on a rise nowadays?
I experience all these things at least once in a 15 minute play session. Sheesh.
press spacebar to make holidaypunch 100% harmless
What I used to do when I ran into another holiday punch heavy, while playing holiday punch heavy, was to punch them at the exact some time as hitting the taunt button. We'd both hit each other, but my showdown taunt would be activated slightly earlier than the laugh taunt, and I'd taunt kill them instead.
I got screened capped by a pyro main who just ran at people with the phlog it was junction for godsakes there isn't much room of course you are going to get kills.

That doesn't make it better. If anything, that makes it worse. It's like using "retard" as a term for "idiot". Physical and mental disorders aren't funny, and using them as a way to say "stupid" is essentially calling everybody with such a disorder an idiot.
If I ever see somebody use terms like "autistic", "retard" or "faggot" as an insult or negative term, my respect for them drops to zero.
If I ever see anybody on TF2 doing it, I make a point of harassing the shit out of that player from the other team. Even if it means going spectate for several minutes to wait for a slot to open up.
The worst part is you get called a "SJW" for getting angry about this kind of stuff.

While I agree with your sentiment this is incredibly petty and not really any better than they are.

I just said it annoyed me. I never said I responded with any level of maturity.
What about the case of insulting someone else's parents?

I've had something like that happen, except he just kept using the !slay command on me
People get too mad about piss guns
