Ever since I tapped out of trading months ago, I forgot about the stupid amount of phishers and scammers present in tf2. I just want to sell my damn unusual for a nice knife in CS:GO, and a Strife impersonator and presumably his buddy add me. I greet the Strife impersonator by calling him out on it and he insta-removes me. The other guy talks about some stupid shit where I have to trade my item to a trusted friend so that they can verify its legitimacy or some bs. People who do this are horrible.

Since Skial added sv_pure to their servers I've been hard-pressed to fin any sv_pure 0 servers
Skial servers are pretty awful anyway - just one more reason to avoid them. Try servers hosted by Hyperion, LotusClan, Railbait, FirePowered, HarpoonGaming, NewbsTF2, Vatican City, GFLClan, Boom! Gaming, NeonHeights, Team Interrobang, et cetera.
No guarantees on any of those - been forever since I played on non-Valve servers, and many of these might very well have switched to sv_pure 1, but it's worth checking.
When I pop uber and the pocket doesn't do anything worth it.

Edgy Pink AH scout joins the game. He's got unsusuals, aussies, etc. He's using lenny faces in chat. For some reason, he starts to target me more often, I assume because I had the best cosmetics on my team and maybe that made his dick bigger? This goes on, and he spams lennys when he kills someone. I say "Dude, we're all casually playing here and you're getting a full erection from this. nobody looks up to you."
This must have triggered a switch inside him that put him into full dumbass power. He began to ONLY target me, infact even risking his life just to kill me. He would spam "(lenny) Hah, rekt ya! Here's a view at my custom lenny to make up for it!". It was some lenny face that he added other characters into, to make it his own. I was fed up, and decided to go direct hit soldier. I've never been good at airshotting, but sometimes I will land some awesome hits. So this guy jumps off a ledge towards me, weaving around to try and dodge my rockets, he jumps, and boom. Airshot. he died. We didn't see each other for a few minutes, he sneaks up behind me and kills me. Lenny bind again. I go dead ringer spy, he "kills me", then taunts, spams bind, then I come up behind him and backstab him, copy his lenny face, then say "(his lenny) thanks"

Had a scout with a pink scattergun renamed "Merry Rektmas" complaining about a guy named Dank Memes taunting after ordinary kills.
This one guy was crying "Crits are fair and balanced" on a valve server, I quicky replied with "You wouldn't mind it if you got a crit yourself, would you now? If your answer is "no", then shut up."
He answered me with a lenny face.

Why do so many people play on servers that give them 150+ ping.
I consider 80+ unbearable.
This guy couldn't be seperated from his buttfuck buddies whenever he was autobalanced, so instead of just waiting for spec, he'd rejoin until the game autobalances him back.
Later complained that he's been autobalanced three times already

For some areas of the world <100 ping servers just don't exist, so you might have been playing at a weird time where there's a lot of Australians/South Americans/East Asians around.

SEA servers are a thing and I'm pretty sure Brazil got servers recently. Also I'm pretty sure there are servers in Japan or Korea so they really don't have any reason to join US East servers. Maybe US West servers, but people from Thailand have literally no reason to join Virginia servers. I also see a lot of Europeans in US servers early in the morning, mostly Russians.

I'm kind of assuming that most people get into Valve servers through Quickplay, not through actual browsing, so it's kind of weird that they ended up in a Virginia server, then. Maybe there aren't enough of those particular servers?

No quickplay is just shit. I get put into Stockholm and Luxembourg servers all the time.

I generally do, however even that has a bad tendency of showing me a bunch of Euro servers. I know it's not entirely accurate but generally when I say quickplay I just mean the "click here to instantly be put into a random server with this gamemode" button.

Getting random crits makes me feel dirty.
The absolute worst is when you're playing Solly, and you get body sniped or something to like 5 hp, and you fire off one last random rocket at an empty corner to act as suppressing fire, just before turning to run for a healthpack, and you end up blind crocketing into smithereens a full health medic, his fully overhealed Demo, and maybe a pyro or two who all just freshly spawned.
Ugh. Just thinking about it makes me feel like I need a shower.
