I'm going to have to agree with Edgar there.
I finally got another double drop today! Guess what it was? A Tough Break Cosmetic Case and a Munition Crate. Still a double drop, but ffs :v:
Apparently, I'm not allowed to get consistent headshots with the huntsman, because that's hacking.
passtime: scouts and engineers: the gamemode
Medics who pocket soldiers who use black box
Ghhrrraraaaaaargh I hate fighting against the Sandman so much! If they manage to peg you with the ball there's an extreme probability there's nothing you can do to survive.
Yea, you did! Not trying to say it's bad or anything. Just wanted to point it out, homie. On topic: I get tunnel-visioned by a guy cause I got him when he was invisivible with The Righteous Bison. He had "pootis" on his name and all, too. I mean, I just wanna play. Mr. 2007 meme man! Stop going after me because I got an accidental kill on you!
So I was playing with my friend today and the server we went to had a team consisting only of Spies. Before I could even find out what the hell is going on, they kicked both me and my friend with no warnings whatsoever, presumably just because we weren't playing as Spies. Dude, I can understand if you're doing some silly stuff, but don't just force everyone to do it. If we don't want to join, we'll just go to another server.
Medics who pocket soldiers who use black box and the concheror
ftfy
ftfy
you've got me going. there's no going back. You shouldn't have mentioned this. I'm gonn- BLACK BOX CONCH SOLDIERS WHO GET PISSED AT ME BECAUSE I WONT PRIORITY THEM OVER OTHER CLASSES THAT DONT HAVE PASSIVE REGEN AND HEALTH ON HIT ARRRGAAAHHH seriously, you're very low on my heal priority list if you combo those weapons.
This shit. The engineer on the right wouldn't even level up his dispenser. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ItxRrQK.jpg[/t]
I really like Landfall for the great flow of battle action, up until the point where people switch to Engineer and turtle like mad. So many CTF maps would be utterly amazing either if Engineer was disabled, or if they had fewer sheltered corners for turrets.
Landfall isn't too bad with one or two engies, it's just one of those maps where 5 engies can cover pretty much every angle. Throw in a decent sniper to watch the long corridor and you've got a nightmare on your hand.
ftfy
I was gonna mention the conch but I was basing this off an experience I had where the med was quick-fix pocketing the BB soldier who had another BB (Black box and buff banner) which got me real mad when they would spawn camp
Not as bad as Buff Banner + Beggars being backed up by a Black Box + Conch with a Kritz medic permanently on the Beggars player.
That sentence alone made me salty. Bonus points if the soldier is lime or has an unusual and the medic is pink or has an unusual and they all have a clan tag of some sorts

something must've went wrong during tf2 development for soldier to only have large open areas as its sole weakness. every other class has a out-of-the-ordinary skillset and mindset to master in order to be effective, aswell as having a specific worst-case-scenario to look for at all times. soldier doesn't.

No particular strengths (until you get good enough to reliably rocket jump and juggle, anyways), no particular weaknesses (except getting hassled by Scouts and Pyros forcing him to switch weapons, I guess). If everyone was really out there and unique, it'd be hard for newbies to get into TF2.
i know all that. and it's shit and i'm calling it out.

No reason to pick a specialist when the "generalist" can do the same or sometimes even better.
The two biggest problems in TF2 with gameplay balance are: How unfun it is to play Medic, and no class limits. Medic is the most important class by a long shot. One team that has even just one Medic will nearly always win against a team without one. Uber breaks stalemates and engineers, and healing kinda stops people from dying. The problem with that is that Medic is awful to play with. You are always at the will of other players to not die or be effective. Most pubs have no one playing Medic at all, which just worsens the other problem. Class limits need to exist. The fact that more than two level 3 Sentries can be up at a time is ridiculous. Defense becomes are nightmare to deal with because the game wasnt balanced around the idea of a Ubered Demoman having to kill like 4 Sentries at a given time. Not to mention 3 snipers, 3 spies, that god awful problem. Without limts, people will just play the class they would like to play, making there be 4 snipers, rather than being the only Medic. Now trying to make Medic fun is not something that can be easily done. Medic is the core of balance in the game, things would have to be tested heavily. But class limits can happen in a single patch. More people playing Medic would be great, but making Payload not boil down to 4 Sentries at last would be better.

-snip, wrong tab-
They should put class limits on pubs, like 3 max of each class (maybe just for spy/sniper/scout/engineer because having 5 soldiers can work I guess) because that would make newbies try out new classes and generally have a better experience out of the game, indeed being one of 5 engineers/spies/whatever isn't really fun or usefull.
You wouldn't believe how many obviously new players I come across that literally seem to rotate between Sniper, Spy, Engineer and Ragequit classes. And of course when they're Engineer, they're of the ''build at spawn and never move, and ignore other players giving you advice on building elsewhere'' variety. Valve seriously needed to make a tutorial on class composition, class choices, certain gamemodes (5CP and CTF to encourage more offensive mentality instead of a turtling one) and a very clear visual guide on playing Engineer that went beyond literally just ''how to build stuff''. Stuff like showing what a decent Sentry spot looks like, explaining why it's a good spot (edging, line-of-sight, defeding a CP or important choke, enemies can't get close to it without stepping into its sight etc.), explaining how important it is to build teleporters and move up your gear in gamemodes where currently cappable objectives and/or spawns change (PL, 5CP), urging them to try and build Sentries near the middle on KOTH etc. I was clumsy when I first tried Engineer, and I'm still kinda bad at it, but most of us at least probably understood the basics of the class just from observation when fighting Sentry nests and/or playing other classes. These newer players that seem to stick to the Engineer class way too often simply don't understand the very basics, likely due to a lack of a good tutorial on the class. But that ship's probably sailed, should've been implemented years ago.

Especially for new players when it forces you to learn three class out of the nine unique variations. And it only teaches you Spy, Soldier and Engineer When my friends started playing they turned to me to teach them the game styles for each class and their weak points and advantages over other classes. Because the 'Training' button taught them jack-shit about sentry placement, explosion radius, rocket jumping, meatshotting, damage falloff, double jumping, capping limit, etc. List just goes on, I think it's a little insulting to have training for three classes alone, when the rest are just as unique and need training themselves to learn properly. And even then the current classes that it does teach, they don't do it well enough to teach core mechanics, and would rather teach "Point here and click". The only part of the training that taught something was the ending, where it forces you into a bot match on Dustbowl with friendly bots covering you. And even then, it's not enough.
I honestly wonder sometimes if TF2 is a person's first video game. What goes through the head of that sniper that just stands while slowly tracking the scout 3 feet away with his smg? The engie that builds outside spawn then just runs to the front line with his shotgun, leaving all of his buildings just sitting there?
These guys were mad at me for killing friendlies and tried to kick me, but it failed. Then they asked my team to kick me for being a tryhard and I started killing friendlies even more.
