I was always under the impression it was an obscene sexual reference which most people just didn't realize.
i was under the impression that at this point it has nothing to do with tf2 anymore shit that annoys me in tf2: - the lack of engaging, fun communities that play vanilla gamemodes - communities that attempt to be so but have voice chat off by default because some squeakers annoy some people - communities that somehow stay alive only because there's items involved
bought butcher bird grenade launcher, liked the wear on the preview image, no blood. went ingame and the whole front grip is covered in blood, fuck whoever thought ''yeah blood splatters lol''
You gotta click on the specific item you're buying and choose "preview in game" to see exactly what you're getting.
I hate overused meme buzzwords in general, but someone found a way to take the stupidity that is "u mad bro" and make it even dumber. I dont know what necessarily makes this obnoxious meme buzzword more annoying than the countless others, but I just cant take anyone who uses the word the made up moronic term "salty" in a sentence seriously, the term just has unfunny immature memer boy written all over it.
You'd really hate the FGC then, my dude [sp]maybe you shouldnt get so salty over a word ;)[/sp]
I do decent at Sniper for one game, for once in my life. Unusual Pyro switches team, calls me a hacker, calls vote. It goes through. Fuck.
TF2 not having stage music I want a volume-controllable stage music option, TF2 has a fairly strong lack of a proper OST, all of it is music from the shorts, pretty much, besides event music. Just give every stage theme (Alpine, Desert, Jungle, Badlands, Snowy) a theme (with some extras for different stages like Kong King, Asteroid, and Suijin) I would love this, it would make the game so much more bearable to play for longer periods of time [sp]music keeps me from getting too salty[/sp]
The assist system in tf2 is absolute garbage. For example, I shoot four rockets at a heavy who shoots me to death even though I'm behind a wall, bring him down to 53 health, and a scout kills him, but it doesn't count me in for an assist. Why

Why
Simple answer? Too much time passed between your damage and the scout's. The limit is 5 seconds, which is pretty short - especially when you factor in dying and the delay on kill cams. It's also very frequent that other people can "steal" assists from you, because the most recent damage dealer besides the killer gets it. So if you deal 200 damage to a Heavy, then two scouts scattergun him, the scout that fires first gets the assist.

Holy shit fuck those glitch abusers.

Not sure if there's any other priorities the system takes. But I definitely have it happen fairly regularly that I headshot someone as Sniper, the target dies almost immediately afterwards to something else (no 5 seconds elapsed) and there's just no assist credit on the kill at all. It's weird.
Holy shit fuck those glitch abusers.
You'd think they'd tire of 2-month-old exploits by now, but nope, still going strong, and 99% of them (especially various teens, judging by their grammar and overall chat responses) would never be able to find or even pull off quantum-crouch exploits on their own if they weren't provided map-by-map instructions and encouragement to do it on various YT channels specializing in griefing. Valve didn't help matters by managing to reintroduce the dropped weapons detonation bug on Borneo by re-using an older, non-patched iteration of the map when they fixed the OOB trick on the map. But still, while I recognize the usefulness of having map-specific exploits on newer maps related to mapping oversights made known and eventually patched in a few weeks due to such YT channels/videos, this time around they've really made a mess by bringing up an old engine-related exploit that 99.99% of TF2's playerbase wasn't aware of or couldn't find ways to abuse it properly for years, and allowing masses of their borderline-sociopathic followers to grief and make maps unplayable for months. There's a teleport-trapping spot on Vanguard too, under a ramp beneath the 2nd point, and pretty much every round I ever play on that map there's some Engie or two deliberately doing it for an hour straight. I've tried addressing their own teams about what they're doing and initiating votekicks, urging them to vote yes, but most of the time the vote doesn't pass due to not enough people voting, even though those that did were in the majority. Hard to not be cynical at that point, when even a team that's getting rolled and clearly has most people trying to play normally and not goof off can't be bothered to kick these intentionally useless and griefing buffoons.
The blood decals purely exist for covering up the pattern design, devaluing the skin further. Absolute rubbish. Valve claims this makes every skin "unique" but I find this to be a downside more than anything. It's like if you were forced to have a bunch of retarded stickers on your CS:GO weapon. Forced, not voluntary.
No-one really likes anything less than Minimal Wear anyway because almost all designs only look good when pristine, they aren't really made for being battered. It just kind of ups the rarity of everything else.
Field Tested isn't too bad on some skins.
I really like what they did with the Boneyard skin, as it proceeds to get more bloodier the more wear it has. Even on minimal wear. I kinda like it~ Minimal Wear & Well-Worn: [t]http://steamcommunity-a.akamaihd.net/economy/image/fWFc82js0fmoRAP-qOIPu5THSWqfSmTELLqcUywGkijVjZULUrsm1j-9xgEMaQkUTxr2vTx8mMnvA-aHAfQ_ktk664Ma0Td5hwRoINy-Pj5hdzvADq5bRfQo8Df7DCYguolhBIbhpb5Relm84ouVZuJ-Nt9EH5SDWvCFbwD54klphKlbLpbd8Xi7w223bUhP8Rjy/360fx360f[/t][t]http://steamcommunity-a.akamaihd.net/economy/image/fWFc82js0fmoRAP-qOIPu5THSWqfSmTELLqcUywGkijVjZULUrsm1j-9xgEMaQkUTxr2vTx8mMnvA-aHAfQ_ktk664Ma0Td5hwRoINy-Pj5hdzvADq5bRfQo8Df7DCYgvIlmVoLl8b9QLF7qtYfON-F4NNgdTsCBWaSDZw776Ehpg6gMfMONpCvtw223bY3UUdsY/360fx360f[/t]
i hate it when the blood splatters are cut between separate UV islands so i get chopped up bits of red on different segments of my gun. At least make it consistent for christ's sake.
I think blood splatters could be an optional style for a Decorate weapon, if that can be implemented easily enough?
oh yeah I forgot that hazmat sniper is still allowed ingame why though
I think blood splatters could be an optional style for a Decorate weapon, if that can be implemented easily enough?
Flying guillotine has that, why not the skins?
Flying guillotine has that, why not the skins?
Guillotine is a weapon that is an actual change of model and supports styles. I can imagine many problems with adding styles on stock weapon skins from a coding point of view, although it is a neat concept.
people who say "tryhards" are cryhards
whyhard?

For me, it came from before I had my SSD and both TF2 and Battlefield took forever to load, but Battlefield has badass music that plays during loading.
I would like the TF2 menu music better if you could have it playing during loading screens For a lot of the time all I've heard of the Expiration Date music is just "bwaa" and then silence
kinda bullshit that achievement items aren't tradable. it's even more annoying when I'm trying to craft stuff and there are 2 of the same weapon - 1 being achievement item, and the other isn't - want to craft the nonachievement item but i don't know how to separate the 2 other than deleting the achievement one
Just use the Custom Blueprint option under Special. It will show you your entire backpack so you can choose exactly which one you want.

You can hover over it and see if it says "Achievement Item: Not Tradable"
