Yeah
besides the +50 health was only for backburner and pyro isn't really relevant to comp play
Yeah

a whole class shouldn't be irrelevant to competitive play.
no it's not
Do you even know what CEVO stands for?
Prepare for Spam.
a whole class shouldn't be irrelevant to competitive play.
I don't see why not
it's more or less underpowered, so nobody uses it except in rare situations
Nexzil did recently but I can't fathom why; he's so slow getting to mid
If something is underpowered, why should it be banned? They're causing harm only to themselves after all.
underpowered things aren't banned
they're just not used, lol
there's no such thing as underpowered. Anyway they're supposed to be super pro player they should be good with every class in every situation.

yes there is such a thing as underpowered
and no matter how good someone is, they're more useful as a soldier, scout, demo or medic than as a pyro

If there's a REALLY good pyro that can reflect anything that comes at him, then he could be useful for a lot of things, but there aren't many pro pyros in comp play, and the cons (low speed and range, etc) really outweigh the pros (pardon the pun) in most cases.

Some classes can accomplish goals, but certain classes can do it better and more efficient, which ruins pyro, and with everyone stealing his "killing you after i die." thing.
Shounic and QQBistro, I'm pretty much agreeing with you guys

It depends really. In most cases it's just about the structure of the skill curve, but in the rest it's how the curves' averages line up.
For example, a shotgun with -20% damage can be considered harder to use effectively, instead of underpowered compared to the normal shotgun.
They ARE stupid because they take TF2 serious, and ban weapons.
I really hate the Wrangler sometimes. Towards the beginning of the update parts of Goldrush were literally impossible because every exit to the spawn would be under the cold stare of a wrangled sentry. There were probably about four Engineers on that team.
Couple this with the rest of their team playing aggressive defense and you're basically just sitting in your spawn area waiting for the game to end.

no, it doesn't depend. the pyro relies on the air blast too much, and valve further cripples him by giving him an airblast cooldown that cannot match the fire-rate of a rocket launcher, which means no matter how good the pyro is, it is literally impossible for a pyro to stand up to a solly, let alone scout and demoman.

I'm guessing troll.
CEVO would ban keyboards and mice if you let them, "Pr0" gaming is a fucking joke, they take it way too seriously.
I would think the pyro would be useful in comp seeing as how easily I drop medics as him.

Stop dismissing competitive TF2 as worthless without knowing anything about it
I would think the pyro would be useful in comp seeing as how easily I drop medics as him.
nah, his range is too short and he moves too slowly
I would think the pyro would be useful in comp seeing as how easily I drop medics as him.
at un-coordinated teams, but if you try playing against complexity, you won't even lay a finger on the medic.
at un-coordinated teams, but if you try playing against complexity, you won't even lay a finger on the medic.
and if you tried playing against the FP CEVO team... :smug:
you'd probably still be able to drop our medic, because I'm the pocket :saddowns:

Yeah, even in pub servers it's a huge pain, I just think it needs a health nerf. The worst case is turbine: the engie can hide behind the glass windows on the battlements and just use a wrangled sentry to kill anyone that comes out of the other base, while remaining completely invulnerable. The sentries take 7-8 stickies or more than a full clip of direct hit rockets, which makes it nearly impossible to kill on it's own (and the engie can just repair it).
I would think the pyro would be useful in comp seeing as how easily I drop medics as him.
The Pyro is too slow and has too little range to be always effective in comp matches. He's not at all worthless, on the odd occasion you'll seem them in badlands mid or on the last point to push off Ubers and other players.
Natacha (or however you spell it) was banned due to the fact it stunned players allowing for an easy kill. One kill matters a lot more when there's only 6 people on each team. However, I don't know the actual reason so I could be completely wrong.
Stop dismissing competitive TF2 as worthless without knowing anything about it
What's the matter, did I say something that differs from your opinion?
I think all competitive gaming is a joke, I only ever watch the EVO tourneys for Street fighter etc, since you usually see someone rage out and maybe even throw their stick around.
I'm guessing dumb.
Because someone is stupid for banning frustrating weapons that slow down the game and making TF2 more slower than it already is?
Because someone is stupid for banning frustrating weapons that slow down the game and making TF2 more slower than it already is?
Hey, another one of these "TF2 iz seriz buznis."-guys.
I'm guessing dumb.
I guessed wrong, you are actually serious. I thought you were a troll because you just repeated what tons of other people have said so far, that a group of people are all stupid for playing a game and actually wanting to do good, which is more fun for most people, and for agreeing as a group that something was reuinig the gameplay.
why does anybody care what competitive people are doing? nothing they are doing is affecting any of you, unless some of you are competitive players yourselves. let people play the game the way they want.
Hey, another one of these "TF2 iz seriz buznis."-guys.
Why do you care at all? You obviously don't know how competitive players play, so all you do is call them stupid?
