Tbh it really should have been a weapon for Heavy (and other classes) and not a damn misc. Valve really missed the boat on that one imo. Sure it probably would have been a reskin like the Iron Curtain and Lugermorph, but at least it'd be useable and not just sitting on his ass pointlessly.

Mhmm. Anyway, is Espionage being worked on at the moment? That looks like the main thing I'm gonna play when it comes out.
Somewhere along the road it would be great to see some little things changed. Like the small push from being inside someone, and teammates blocking melee hits, bullets and projectiles. I've seen so many times where two people are melee fighting someone else but can't hit them because they're somehow hitting eachother. Or reflecting a rocket, which hits a teammate, and makes them explode.
I don't know if this mentioned or not (tag me as 'late' if it has, I don't wanna read 95 pages of thread), but I noticed you can bhop as any class with a significant speed gain. IMO, I would like to see this as a deathmatch exclusive feature rather than default TF2 gamemodes, maybe for a more Quake-like experience.

this is a server-based setting and defaults to being off

Ah, I see, that explains a lot. Still trying to learn the game commands and settings.

This might not be directly Related to TF2C but having a Comic for TF2C might be pretty cool, i know a guy who makes TF2 Comics using sourcefilmkaer, maybe we should ask him about it

I actually have to agree about the comic thing- it would be kind of a neat community thing, like the Robotic Boogaloo comic. Have to disagree about using SFM for it though. I like seeing TF2 illustrated.

Me and game zombie got a minigun model eject contact us when ya want it

we had an internal debate that resulted in getting our official lore for tf2c down to one paragraph based off release tf2. here it is:
It's the middle-ish part of a century a lot like the one we just had. A simpler time. There are three TV stations, one phone company, and four holding corporations that secretly control every government on the planet. Each corporation administers its part of the world with a multi-disciplined army of paper pushers. For any problem lacking an obvious bureaucratic solution, specialized contractors are retained to address the situation through a massive application of force. Though each of them are paid well beyond what they deserve, they quickly discover that there is a much larger prize waiting for them - if they can navigate this massive conflict of interest
If by "internal debate" you mean "an entirely one sided conversation in which you wouldn't take any other answer other than erasing everything down to that blurb" then yes i suppose that would be correct.

The above said, lore isn't really top priority right now. People have pitched a few ideas for it before, but its a very touchy subject, similar to the grenades situation. Best to leave it alone for now.

Oh.......I....I don't know what that is....

Lore is something quick that we can just make something small for, than advance it as the mod goes along. Might as well have some kind of base for it, and build off of it later.
Making up our own lore for this mod is stupid IMO. Should just be the gravel wars that TF2 was originally set in.

Sorry I don't wanna treat TF2C like a deviantart fanfic.

Ah, if we get a small team to work on this, and make sure nobody comes up with some surprise buttsecks. it could work.
Alright then, thanks for shitting on my hopes and dreams.

I really don't have an art direction for the areas controlled by BLU that aren't spytech/locker room areas.
Need me some suggestions, until then I'm going to practice natural environments in SFM.

somehow people werent bothered by this line of reasoning when they were proposing singleplayer missions

The lore doesn't really have to be on the same level in terms of quality as "deviantart fanfic" stuff, though. If you're smart with it, you could make the lore pretty decent in ways other than just leaving it out.
