To be fair, it isn't really established anywhere that 4team maps must be balanced on both axes. We kinda lack the 4team gameplay experience to tell how much of a hassle such layouts are to balance, since the 2 extra teams might both make things more or less complicated in that regard depending on how to look at it.
Just to let everyone know, it seems the "Coming Soon™" on [URL="http://tf2classic.com"]http://tf2classic.com[/URL] has been replaced with install instructions.

I recommend server hosters to re-download the server regardless of whether you're using Windows or Linux.
To launch the game:
1. Add hl2.exe to Steam as a non-Steam game.
2. Open Properties in Steam and add the following launch parameters at the end of Target field: -game tf -steam
3. Play.

Hello, stgiga here. I would like to be here as a Mac/Linux user/tester when the game gets ported to Macs and Linux in the future.
How is the progress on the Civilian going? I noticed that he looks like my grandfather, and that the Administrator looks like my grandmother. I wish (but not demand) that somebody could make a SFM still of the Administrator and Civilian together to send to me. I would like a Blu Civilian, and a Red/Blu half & half jacket for the Administrator. It does not have to be public, it is just for sentimental reasons, as my grandparents are deeply treasured, and are doing so-so at the moment. Thank you.

I'll do it when the Civilian model is released.
How to have fun with bots:
1. Create a server, set up a few bots.
2. bot_changeteams
3. bot_mimic 1
4. Have fun.

What if there is a map in the middle of a prison? 4 teams, each team owns one prison block. Red gets A block, Blu gets B block, etc. Just an idea.

Thanks Imacreep. I think it will be a nicer job than I could do. I also cannot use SFM because I use Macs and Linux machines as SFM will not work on non-Windows computers.

Are you thinking to implement its ctf mode too?
It sounds really interesting and makes the map more unique than the [URL="https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Team_Fortress_Classic#Capture_the_Flag"]standard ctf ones[/URL].
Can we go back to that one idea that guy had about the LMG for heavy? I think it would be a nice alternative to a minigun.

The graphics used to possible when you could set mat_picmap to '-10' and HWM models but mat_picmap was set to a maximum of '-4' back in 2010 because some people complained about 'significant performance and instability issues' according to the TF2 wiki :/ You can still use HWM models if I recall correctly. The lighting would be pretty cool though

we actually updated hundreds of vmt files a while ago so that mat_picmip -1 will display the same level of quality as -10

Does that make setting mat_picmip to -10 identical to setting it to -1, or does it make -10 magically better?

What about ditching the stock weapons for the DM mercenary and giving him DM exclusive weapons that would replace the stock weapons? For the minigun, you can use that concept assault cannon some people made as an alternative, or giving him a single shot rocket launcher so that the stock rocket launcher isn't the best weapon in the game mode.

Or.....wait for it..........EVERYTHING GETS ADDED! Don't you hate when something really badass like the combine sniper from the hl2 beta or rideable velociraptor from saints row 4 gets removed or never implemented? How do you think people would feel if they drunkenly stumble across this thread, and see some content was never added? Pretty upset, if you ask me.

-10 is identical to -1 for a lot of textures now
