Haven't the ebin Garry's Mod'esque :^) pictures shared throughout this thread been satisfactory? I'd say take a look at the github if you want to truly know how progress has been going.

A [B]100%[/B] completed Alpha 1 Domination map for Team Fortress 2 Classic. Imma try to see if I can get it into the official testing for 2.0.

Isn't that the Janitor planned for that TTT styled game mode that was being worked on?
just wondering is it ok ifi where ot use a build ot tf2c and strip the new featurers and just use it as a base for my mod? cus i require a build of tf that works with skins and fas functioning weapon sway

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? I think they went over avoiding that nazioffcenter crosshair one. TF2C already has an official logo and etc

It's only code, though, and it has a bunch of my NPC related edits in TF2 specific code so I wouldn't advice using that as a base.

Nobody would play it. There's maybe 10 people who actively play TF2C (and that's not at the same time) . About the only way to get enough players is to use the Steam Group to post announcements, but then that's over with in a few hours max. Then everyone goes back to not playing it. I'm sure they'll be more playing once 2.0 is released, so just hold off until then and enjoy some regular TF2 :)

I'm pretty sure than Badgerpig once showed his work ethic of making the concept for the Mercenary's face, which involved overlaying all of the classes faces over one another and taking the most common elements. Which resulted in a super generic mercenary face that was easily covered over with his balaclava with no loss of anything important:

If there is any similarity to the old concept pyro face, its probably coincidental at best.

It is curious why that crooked logo is the first result in Google Image search for "TF2 Logo".
Looking at the result shows that it is a Wikimedia commons page.

It was uploaded by a User:Balthazar in 2009 who has been inactive since 2013.
I suspect that it has been used by all media outlets because copyright has been relinquished, making it first choice and first link.
All that is required to correct it is a Wikipedia account and a .svg file.
If no one does it in the next few hours, I will create an account and fix that crooked nuisance once and for all. The Google Image cache will update itself eventually.
EDIT: I'm admittedly more used to Photoshop than Illustrator. Luckily, I've been able to extract most of the color and path information.

The color and gradient information should be identical. The center circle diameter and the width of the crosshairs should also be identical, just realigned.
I had to move the lighter reflection slightly since it gets chopped off awkwardly across the segment. If I had kept it in the same position, there would be a tiny sliver visible in the bottom left quadrant.
The drop shadow is slightly off, but I'll try to see if I can replicate it better. Still trying to figure out if I can create a vectorized drop shadow instead of a raster to get around wikimedia's image embedding restriction.
i had an idea for DM, when playing with bots, insted of normall classes, they would be maniquins/robots like in expiration date

i allso had an idea when spawning, you can move arround a bit before you have fully spawned to see whats going on, then spawn in and take action, if you get where im going, in this state you can see players team colloured outlines through walls. this is just a small idea, like free roaming camera in cs:s when you spectate
