Hopefully someone can get the name of that article changed from making us look bad. I hate to see all this hard work get hated on because someone wrote a article as if we hated valve.

Here is a steam Grid icon i whipped up for this project. Also ive been a fan of this longer than VNN's Video, i just forgot my Facepunch login XD Anyway enjoy, and if there is anything else you need help with like server testing and stuff i would love to help. also a bug in thirdperson mode, pretty major, escpecially while taunting, on 2fort (Maybe other maps?) Is pretty funny so ill let you test it
If there's anything I could do to help with Linux support, I'd absolutely love to. I'd really like to play!
Kotaku changed the article name (but not the URL) http://steamed.kotaku.com/fed-up-team-fortress-2-fans-are-making-their-own-versio-1696584047 Expressing some gratitude:
Have you ever felt uncertain about the direction TF2 is heading in? Or perhaps been disappointed that Valve hasn't given this game the attention it deserves? Never fret, your worries have been assuaged - our team has begun work on a community-driven edition of Team Fortress 2! Continuing from the intro above, Team Fortress 2 Classic is exactly what was stated above: a community-made mod using the 2008 leaked Source Code. This mod aims to bring not only scrapped features back, but also add in new, never before seen features. This mod began life after the release of the Orange Box Team Fortress 2 v1.0.0.9 client/server. While the v1.0.0.9 client brings players back to the early days of Team Fortress 2, it is very limited in the amount of customization one can do. While you can customize the HUD and skins and whatnot, there's no real way to add in new content. That's where Team Fortress 2 Classic comes in. Download the client, patch 1.8.0, and then the latest patch (currently 1.8.3 Hotfix 1) 2. Once downloaded, extract everything to your "steamapps/sourcemods" directory. You should now have "steamapps/sourcemods/tf2classic" 3. Go to the 'Tools' section in your Steam client 4. Install Source SDK 2013 Base Multiplayer 5. After it's installed, right click it and select Properties, then click the Betas tab and choose "Upcoming". 6. Close the properties and it should begin updating. 7. Once it has finished updating, restart Steam 8. Check your games. You should see "Team Fortress 2 Classic" has appeared on your games library.
WE NEED THIS!
Why did you quote the entire main post :suicide:
WE NEED THIS!
Heads up: When you reply, make sure you don't quick reply to the main post. This happens, and it's rather annoying. Edit: UserNotFound beat me. Can you delete your own posts on these forums?

Don't worry about it though, Aido :v: EDIT: The Kotaku UK article still has the old name (but who reads Kotaku UK anyway?). Oh well, I'm still grateful that they responded as fast as they did with the Kotaku US article name change.
AAAAHHHHH! I need to be involved in this... KK. I had a couple of dozen pages full of weapon designs for the tf2 workshop, buuutttt... When was the last time valve added weapons to the game!? Anyway. I have the stuff. I will post tomorrow as my broadband is a little wonky, but man, it doesn't have to just be weapons. Practically anything I can design. I am practically a videogame designer already! So. Final note to summarise: I wish to join in on this. I can design and do concept art. I have a heap of weapons I will scan and post sooner or later. I will likely be up all night brainstorming and having ideas. I'm gonna have fun with this! Here's to success! Hoping to be affirmed soon! No hate against Valve or tf2, but it is better this way. Plus, we actually wish to develop the game, which is something I honestly rarely see valve ever do... :/ Ah, well. To TF2 Classic! :D *cheers* *clapping*

Would kinda make a neat change to the exclusively Cockney or super-posh English voices you always seem to get in games.
I'll front page this on ValveTime.net by this weekend if one of my colleagues doesn't get around to it before then. We won't do you dirty. In the future you can always drop us a line at http://www.valvetime.net/contact-us so that we can post this stuff quicker.

I've never heard of ValveTime.net to be honest, but I'm gonna go check it out right now, see what I've been missing.
emails were sent with statements to both the article author and kotaku's editor-in-cheif

Is it even still in dev? Or has it been forgotten alike many other projects I've seen...

For some reason the OP says 2010 :/ Oh well... Problem sorted! Thx :P :D
For some reason the OP says 2010 :/ Oh well... Problem sorted! Thx :P :D
I don't see 2010 on the OP anywhere. Weird.
About 14 guys were playing on a map and were going civilian, and we were like this model is so great and the voice acting is superb, but maybe this model may be better ? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=105913157
