Would be nice if bullet tracers were instant.
Dunno if it has been reported yet, but when spy uses a disguise, he sometime uses the color of a different team to the eyes of his own team, and he even goes with broken textures sometimes. (Also, wasn't the medic shotgun supposed to be removed?)
(Also, wasn't the medic shotgun supposed to be removed?)
No, I think it's been ballanced a bit since 2.0. Also, could some-one give me a guide to setting up TF2C with source multi-tool? I want to have a crack at making a DM map.
How was the Medic's shotgun been changed exactly? I haven't tried it out since the previous version.
When spy uses a disguise, he uses the color of a different team to the eyes of his own team
Doesn't we have a CVAR for this feature?
Is there another reason to use the Sten Gun model for the Scout SMG other than "it looks cool"?
The fuck are you guys talking about with hats? The only live TF2 content we ported is updated anims. Like the new spy revolver reload, and mapping textures and shit. There aren't any hats shipped, and there never will be.

Why does the Scout use a "Sten" SMG? Sniper should have the Sten smg instead and Scout a M3 Grease gun perhaps?

Apparently whatever key is used to swap weapons in Deathmatch isn't bound in my copy. What key and command should I bind for this functionality?
Has anyone noticed that changing classes renders both c_arms until you switch weapons? [t]http://i62.tinypic.com/167tloy.jpg[/t]
The you're-not-gonna-live-long-enough-to-press-this key.
git gut
- Deathmatch works way better on paper than it does in practice. It's just kind of unguided, purposeless chaos without many of the movement tricks/mechanics that other arena shooters stake their claim with. This isn't to say that it's completely without merit - team deathmatch on larger maps may be an improvement, and the concept of an objective gametype (KOTH?) with Mercs having to scrounge up more powerful weapons to succeed has real promise.
I'm thinking Deathmatch might work better with 6-12 players rather than 32. I wouldn't mind some Deathmatch variants with an objective, as well as Team Deathmatch, but I think Deathmatch in its current state is pretty good. If we do get Deathmatch variants, one where you can choose the weapons you spawn with might be neat.

We have our own scout smg model already in the works.
Apparently whatever key is used to swap weapons in Deathmatch isn't bound in my copy. What key and command should I bind for this functionality?
it's actually just +use bind it to whatever you like, I personally use mouse3 but default is f I think
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ooByavw.png[/t]
They're useful props used in maps.
Right, let's see... Here's some first impressions from playing on some servers with roughly 300 ping.
Pretty much every arena shooter turns into chaos if there're too much much players for the current map.
Scout's sten gun is a placeholder model, its only temporary. We have our own scout smg model already in the works.
for the placeholder why didn't you just keep the old scout smg model instead of making it the sten gun
for the placeholder why didn't you just keep the old scout smg model instead of making it the sten gun
because they're devs. they do what they want.
A common request I see while lurking on the server is for more DM maps. I think I'll start working on that sometime later today. If anyone has a DM map they would like to test out, just let me know and I'll throw it up on the server. You'll probably have to join the server to get feedback on it though.
Hey uh, GardenFreeman, It wont let me join the server. It says connection failed after 4 retries. Any idea why that might be? Or any suggestions to fix it? And also, I am currently running 2.0 and have tried connecting through the console, no success.
I think DM Sten SMG is a bit OP with this ROF. Mouse cursor doesn't work when map is loading (That's because engine stops every event) and you almost can't use it until it loads up.
Scout's sten gun is a placeholder model, its only temporary. We have our own scout smg model already in the works.
Wait, will the Scout SMG still be a Sten or what? [sp]i'm sad now if it's the other case[/sp]

I did goof on the fastdl earlier and had to restart the server. You may want to give it a try now.
Another thing i found, on a couple of occasions, the flamethrower doesn't set on fire somehow on DM.
Not real sure why that would happen. I did goof on the fastdl earlier and had to restart the server. You may want to give it a try now.
Nope, Not working yet. This pops up http://imgur.com/8BZAsYJ
A couple more things to report: - The pill pickup sound is practically inaudible compared to all the other pickup noises, especially in a combat situation. (You are never not in a combat situation) - During high-lag situations (like, say, not having a server within a 9000 mile radius of your house), deathmatch pickups can get a little confused and pop up a blank "press to swap" prompt before remembering you don't have anything in that slot and picking up. - During one Gravelpit match I kept seeing an untextured spy running around. I'm not sure what the cause of that was. And some personal-preference junk: - The nailgun draw sound sounds like it was ripped out of an old trailer and has echo effects over it, and the draw animation is a lot less detailed than most other drawing animations. It could probably use a little love. - The flamethrower mostly stands as a reminder as to why it was given the airblast.
